Gotta get up

I have started watching Comedy Drama series Russian Doll. Showing on Netflix. I assumed the episode to be longer. Set in New York. Starring: Natasha Lyonne; Greta Lee; Yul Vazquez; Elizabeth Ashley; Charlie Barnett; Chloƫ Sevigny.
Natasha is also creator and producer. Last thing that I saw her in was the American Pie films. She is a talented actress. Nadia is a video games developer attending a birthday party. She would diea at some point in the night and relive the same day. Looking at the people I can assume them to be liberals, artists. The costume and props department will have had fun with this. You are on the edge of your seat as you don't know how she get struck down. When making these time loop stories the actors would have done alot, sometimes repeating lines. Her cat Oatmeal is missing. There are a bunch of eclectic characters. I like the soundtrack. Some of the dialogue is weird. I personally believe that she is in purgatory. A clever show. Plenty of visual clues. Season 1 is straightforward. Season 2 takes a weird turn. I will have to look at theories and explanations about the show. Great cast of actors. Worth checking out. You might have already seen Final Destination, Happy Death Day, Edge Of Tomorrow, Boss Level, Inside Llewyn Davis, Groundhog Day, Lost.

I went to see Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. J18 was the seat, screen 8. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Stuhlbarg. There are many more actors but you will have to see the film. The film had only been out a few days and people were posting spoilers on YouTube. Taking place after No Way Home. Also events from Doctor Strange and Wandavision are referenced. The multiverse is real. I can assume that you have been watching all the Marvel films and shows. Stephen has been attending the wedding of Christine. Meanwhile these creatures have been after America Chavez. She is quite cute. She has powers. Has the ability to move between universes. Wanda has been using the Darkhold. She wants to be reunited with her children. She is badass. America's powers will help Wanda. Stephen wants to protect the kid. They are sent to various locations. As this film is directed by Sam Raimi there is more horror. Expect some cameos. Which leads to the end credits scene just being there for humour. So you don't need to stay in the cinema for that. There is a post credits scene. So I guess there is a third film. I am wondering when Loki, Hawkeye, Captain America films will appear. I am going to see Thor: Love And Thunder. There is still a Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel to be made. I was reminded of What If. Elizabeth is hot in that Scarlet Witch outfit. Benedict and Elizabeth have been killing it. The mole on Rachel's face is bothersome. Good effects. No doubt the antisjw bellends will be triggered by something. I should not mention them as they are irrelevant. Interesting soundtrack. I will look at trivia and discussions. There are the usual reaction channels that will see this.

Stranger Things season 4. The long awaited scifi horror is back. The cast are very much older. They have had various films and TV roles. There is a short recap. This episode established where they all are. There is a flashback sequence. 1986 and the characters have come back to Hawkins. Those that had left last season that is. The basketball competition is almost at an end. Mike and gang would be playing D&D. Lucas has to play basketball as it is the finals. They need to convince the leader of the Hellfire Club to reschedule. The actor reminded me of a young Robert Downey Jr. He could play another version of Tony Stark. Dustin is still in touch with his girlfriend who can hack a computer. Max is going through some trauma. Hopper has sent a package to Joyce. Eleven and Will are at college together. She has to face these bullies. The older cast that were teens are dealing with issues. Jonathan over in California. Nancy is a reporter. Robin is in a brass band. Steve works at a video store. There is Chrissy that has gifts and is connected to the Upside Down. The main villain is probably the king of that realm. I understand this to be the final season. Showing on Netflix now.

Millie Bobby Brown, Eduardo Franco, Priah Ferguson, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Joseph Quinn, Winona Ryder.

I started watching Werewolves Within. A horror comedy which I saw a teaser clip of. I found the dialogue and acting cringe worthy so stopped at 1h21m59 seconds left. Set in some northern town. A new Ranger has been assigned his post. A monster lurks somewhere. But anyway this film is released by Signature. The filming location was interesting.

I started watching The Privilege. A German horror film. 1 m 28 m to go. As I will be up in the morning for gym. Some creature was pursuing the children in the house. The older sister is hysterical. I remember seeing the specific bridge in some show or movie. Fast forward to the college years. The son is getting therapy. His twin sister is hot. He is invited to a party. Later sees his Grandpa. Interesting location. I listened to the original audio with subtitles. There are weird beings lurking. The family is hiding a secret. Some pretty cast members notably Sophie and Samira. There is a moderate sex scene. Pills are being given to the teens. Maybe look at trivia. Techno soundtrack. Good cast of actors. Currently on Netflix. You get to see Finn the protagonist live his daily life. See him investigate into what has been going on. They are a middle class family living in luxury. Cast.

Izombie

I watched the pilot episode of iZombie. From DC/ Vertigo. On Netflix. A horror drama. It did remind me of Pushing Daisies, Gilmore Girls and Nancy Drew. The leading actress reminded me of Amy Adams. Her sister is hot. A young doctor had gone to party and there was a zombie outbreak. Well a minor one. She was infected. Now one of the undead. She works in a morgue. Eating the victim's brains helps her have a psychic connection. I wasn't sure if I would watch the entire episode or even the series. It might appeal to a female audience. You may have seen Zombieland, Warm Bodies, Life After Beth. Interesting soundtrack. Comic book cut scenes. Her boss is British. There is black detective that need her help. Originally on the CW. There are references to the work Boyle and Romero. 5 seasons. You should see Ash Vs Walking Dead. Starring: Rose McIver; Malcolm Goodwin; Rahul Kohli; Robert Buckley; David Anders; Aly Michalka; Robert Knepper; Bryce Hodgson.

Don't hang up

I have just watched The Call. A Korean scifi horror. Great acting from the cast. The two leading ladies really stand out. Superb special effects. The soundtrack is good. Plenty of twists. You have the regular time travel films, the time loop ones then ones like this where two inviduals separated by time communicate with each other. These Korean films have always been good. The first that I ever saw was Oldboy. Director: Lee Chung-hyeon Starring: Park Shin-hye; Jeon Jong-seo Music by: Dalpalan Park Shin-hye as Kim Seo-yeon[2] Jeon Jong-seo as Oh Young-sook[3] Kim Sung-ryung as Eun-ae, Seo-yeon's mother. Lee El as Ja-ok, Young-sook's mother Oh Jung-se as Seong-ho Lee Dong-hwi as Baek Mi-hyun Park Ho-san as Mr. Kim (Seo-yeon's father) You have Seo-Yeon living her life in a small town in 2020. She receives a call on a cordless phone. From a young woman named Young-Sook in 1999. Young lives with her abusive stepmother. Seo lives with mother. They both inhabit the same house but in different decades. As they have more conversations. Subtle things along the time line change. I find the concept interesting. Frequency and The Lake House are other films that I recommend. Dark and clever film. I will look at theories and discussions. I may take a look at Parasite. I saw this on Netflix. Highly recommended.

I have started to watch Squid Game. A Korean horror series. It had been getting rave reviews. I enjoyed watching Saw, Circle, Exam, Escape Room, The Task, Takeshi's Castle, Wipeout. So I would eventually see this. The soundtrack is good. A secret organisation has organised a series of games. People who are in debt have entered to play. It is a matter of life and death. The winner would receive a large cash sum. Great acting from the cast and extras. The props and costume department have done well. There is swearing and violence. The games are based on kids games. I was trying to understand the instructions in the opening credits scene. I see why they had that main theme tune. It is a little tongue in cheek. The protagonist or one of the main characters is a man living with his mother. He should treat his mother with more respect. He sees his daughter on her birthday. Some might call him a deadbeat dad. You do dislike him at first. I felt sorry for him. Quite like the businessman that approached him at the station. You have memes and parodies of the show. People will dress as the characters for Halloween. On Netflix. There is talk of a second series. You have an ominous looking leader that watches as the games are played. There is humour. I watch it with original dialogue with English subtitles. I noticed the Indian guy there. Worth taking a look.

Train To Busan is a Korean horror movie. A businessman is always working. He has split from his wife. There is shared custody of their young daughter. As her birthday approaches. They go on a trip to see the mother. Meanwhile a zombie outbreak is happening. Interesting to have it set on a train. Good acting from all cast and extras. There is some annoying things eg the daughter wandering off, people not getting a move on, a questionable decision to open a door. A variety of characters. Personalities clash. The actor that is the protagonist was recently in Squid Game. You might have seen 28 Days Later, La Horde, Dawn Of The Dead, Zombieland, I Am Legend. Nice soundtrack.

I am currently watching Hellbound. A Korean horror drama TV series. It is quite dark and sinister. First of all you have a detective and his daughter. He is busy investigating the recent attacks that have taken place. The mother was murdered a few years ago. The police chief is understanding yet strict. There is a church or a cult called The New Truth Society. You could compare them to Westboro Baptist Church. They are wanting people to live a life free of sin. Those that do wrong will be exposed and punished. Their leader is charismatic, young, handsome. He is in the limelight. The actor playing him does a fantastic job. That also goes for every cast member. The Arrowhead are an evil bunch of thugs. They are associated with the church. Brutal scenes. I like the attorney, she is attractive, does the best that she can. Not everything is black and white. There is this streamer in multicolour and is somewhat annoying. He is broadcasting what went on regarding the church and doxxes people. The trailer that was shown is the first scene. An angelic figure appears to an individual telling them of when they will die. Once that day arrives these Hulk like demons appear and unleash hell on the victim. Finally taking their soul to Hell. There are many believers but also some sceptics. You do get reveals early on in the series. If you liked Squid Game, Death Note, Final Destination, Constantine, Saw then this is for you. Interested to see what the reaction channels make of it. Maybe the cgi could do with some work. Some actors may be familiar to you. I recommend Old Boy, The Call. Yoo Ah-in as Jeong Jin-soo, a cult leader, the head of the emerging religion 'New Truth Society' Park Sang-hoon as young Jeong Jin-soo Kim Hyun-joo as Min Hye-jin, an attorney Park Jeong-min as Bae Young-jae, Broadcasting Station PD Won Jin-ah as Song So-hyun, Bae Young-jae's wife Yang Ik-june as Jin Kyeong-hoon, detective Kim Do-yoon Kim Shin-rok as Park Jeong-ja Ryu Kyung-soo as Yoo Ji, priest of the cult Lee Re as Jin Hee-jeong, Jin Kyeong-hoon's daughter Im Hyeong-guk as Gong Hyeong-joon, sociology professor

Please enjoy your flight

I watched Blood Red Sky. A horror film that has vampires. The trailer does show alot. The film in in German and English. You get the option of multiple languages and subtitles. The opening scene has a plane arriving at a British army base. Probably could have done without it. Go to flashback mode to the beginning of the story. Nadja is suffering from a mysterious illness and there is a cure in New York. She must board a plane to get there. The son Elias was a little annoying. You have a multitude of characters. Good acting, stunts, music. The actress Peri Baumeister does remind me of Naomi Rapace. Dominic Purcell has played a vampire in Blade Trinity. Imdb trivia will mention that. A bunch of terrorists have hijacked the plane. Eightball is a psycho. You learn a bit more about the infection. I am left wondering how many others might be like this. There will be spoiler filled discussions on the story. I am reminded of Die Hard 2, Flight Of The Living Dead, Quarantine 2 Terminal. Showing on Netflix.

A horror film that I am watching on Netflix. Circle is a psychological film. If you like Saw and similar films then you might want to check it out. Full cast
There are 50 people. 49 will die. There can only be one winner. They get to vote on who dies next. You have a child actor. With all that language in the room. Great special effects. Superb cast of actors. Made an ensemble cast to bring it to the table. See IMDb for trivia and see what each of their filmography. I will look at the discussion. Twists expected. There is an actress from Buffy in this. I was reminded of the Bad Wolf episode. Please click on the ads. I have seen most of these films. Stay safe and wash your hands.

I watched a scifi action film called Spectral. A Netflix original. The American military have gone to Europe. There is a scientist and tech specialist in Virginia. He is recruited to help the soldiers. Around the city there are these ghostly beings. One touch will kill a man. It is an interesting concept. Having watched till the end I like the origin of the creatures. Largely an unknown cast. Good soundtrack and effects. Worth taking a look. IMDb

 Netflix gift card
Netflix and chill I decided to watch Extinction starring Michael Pena and Lizzy Caplan. It's an alien invasion movie. Scifi. On Netflix. It is quite dark with the night shots. It's the problem on this TV or Netflix in general. A man had been having visions. He has a wife and two daughters. The youngest is annoying, gets them in trouble. Just leave her to the aliens. The aliens arrive. It is brutal. The soldiers are on the ground. Exterminating the humans. Nice twist. Set in the far future.

Thursday 16 April 2020

I am watching Stranger Things on Netflix using the NowTv box. The TV is Toshiba. The screen was quiet dark at the beginning. I was having to adjust the settings. I have seen things the cast have been in. Also the Badlipreading videos. Set in the 1980s. The era of my childhood. You might like

A great cast of actors. There is drama and humour. Something I can assume is an alien has escaped from a secret facility. A young girl named Eleven has turned up. Some agents are on the hunt for her. A young boy has gone missing. You will like the soundtrack. Sci fi element to it interested me. The local sheriff is trying to do what he can. There are a group of teens that are the main cast. Cert 18. The little blonde toddler sat at the table is cute as is Eleven. Nancy is attractive. The chef at the cafe was great. I had recently been watching IT. I am not too concerned about what goes on at school. A new season is yet to premiere. I am blogging whilst watching. It had been a long time since I watched Winona Ryder in anything. Cynthia is pretty. All the while I can here a family member chattering away. Often the volume on show is loud. Still dark on some scenes. Matthew Modine was superb. I would have been 4 years old in 1983.

Cast (379)

Season 2 takes place in 1984. Things have moved on. A new look for some characters. Max is a new student over from California. In the city you have a bunch of criminals and one of them is gifted. Sean Astin was in The Goonies. He is in this season. Will has been having visions of the Upsidedown place. With this show the Duffer Brothers have been getting 80s stars for this film. See trivia on IMDb. Paul Reiser plays a doctor. Lots of pop culture references.

Season 3 has a great ensemble cast. Nice special effects. You might be interested in the soundtrack. Interested to see what Russian viewers make of this show. More references. I will leave you to spot them. There is a Russian army and scientists working in a secret location. Jim is still doing police work. Joyce is at the store. The boys are hanging out with the girls getting up to mischief. Steve works at an ice cream parlour with the lovely Robin. Jonathan and Nancy are interns at the newspaper company. Billy works as a lifeguard. Really good scenes with monsters. I like how they are in groups going on their own mission. The character Alexei is cool as is the conspiracy theorist Murray. Dustin can be annoying as is Erica. The actors are great it's just the characters. The beast has somehow come back and will use Billy to do it's work. There was a lot of anti Russian sentiment. There probably still is. I think that you should see the show. I could update this post when Season 4 comes. There is a red carpet interview with Maya Hawke that you might like. Joe Keery does look like Andrew Garfield. Dacre Montgomery has nice eyes.
