Olivia Cooke, Mark Rylance, Simon Pegg, T.J Miller also star. Look out for cameos and references. Halliday invented the Oasis. He left a lot of money.  This film stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Olivia Cooke, Anton Yelchin, Francie Swift and Paul Sparks. A thriller set in the suburbs. Lily and Amanda are friends. They hire a local hustler Tim to carry out a plan to get rid of the oppressive stepfather. Great cast of actors. Other films of theirs are Ready Player One, Ouija, Split, Glass, The Limehouse Golem, Odd Thomas, Star Trek, Fright Night, Morgan, Barry, Terminator Salvation. Amanda is a sociapath, an outsider, confident, speaks her mind. Lily is upper class, not so confident, awkward. They look good. You may have seen Horrible Bosses, Ingrid Goes West, Very Bad Things, Single White Female, Stoker, Cruel Intentions, Wild Things, Irrational Man, Suburbicon, Heathers, Fight Club. It is slow paced. Minimal soundtrack. Focuses on the dialogue. I am blogging as I watch this. But you should just focus on the screen. The unique use of cinematography. Some twists. It was Anton's final film.  This film stars Daniel Radcliffe. I enjoyed his previous works. Subtitles are automatically on. It is a little dark in the opening scene. Sean is a pilot. He transports stock for the drug cartel. A crime thriller. With the four films that I watched recently. You have British actors doing American accents. He is on the phone to his girlfriend and his contact from the cartel is ringing up. Sean is also working for the DEA. He is keeping some secrets. Plans have been changed. He has a new location to drop off the goods. Cert 15. His wife Jen played by Grace Gummer. She needs an operation and the DEA will pay for it as long as he does his part. You might like Donnie Brasco, Phonebooth, Falling Down, Buried, Duel, Locke, Air America, Con Air, Non-Stop. At the time of writing this film has a two star rating on Amazon. Which is surprising. It is up to you on whether you watch it. Some interesting characters especially Mallory. Set in a post apocalyptic future. Global warming amongst other natural disasters happened. Mid 21st century. With the look of it is similar to a western, Terminator Salvation, The Walking Dead, Mad Max, Interstellar, The Day, The Book Of Eli, Logan, Stakeland. Our bounty hunter played by Gina Carano is on horseback dragging a coffin on a rope. You may have seen her in Haywire, Deadpool. Water and air are scarce. John Hannah plays Doc. He is a mentor to Attica Gage. Be interesting to see what the reviews are like. Silver is something that helps with air purification. Must look at the science behind that. That shootout with Chavo/Javo. Gage does get to her gun slowly. When she has to roll towards it. She could have been shot. There are storms. I think the cars are referred to as Burners. But saw a scene where storm clouds were approaching and they were shooting fire. I could be mistaken. The lady miming the country song is a little off. She is hot as is Gina. Gage is lying in bed being tended to buy the Doc and you can see her nipples poking through the top.

There is the villain by the name of Elijah Jackson. You may like Divergent, Hunger Games, War For The Planet Of The Apes, Maze Runner, Resident Evil, Dawn Of The Dead. Many more films are available.  Pacific Rim Uprising There is the odd slice of cheese. Well it is an American action movie. Stars John Boyega amongst some old and new faces. 10 years after the film. The son of Idris Elba's character is up to no good. People go scavenging for the technology used in the war. You have a teenage girl building her own Jaeger. Many cadets are still being trained. Parts of the world is still in ruins. A Chinese company is building drones. You might like Power Rangers, Transformers, Colossal, Pacific Rim, Godzilla, King Kong. There is a bigger threat regarding the Kaiju. They have thrown in new ideas. Cert 12. There are the Precursors that sent the monsters in the first place. I will look at who Sarah is or was. You might like the soundtrack. Plenty of special features. I try and keep track of who is controlling which machine. It probably has had mixed reviews. Good special effects. Universal Pictures 2018.

 A WRINKLE IN TIME A SciFi fantasy from Disney based on the best selling novel. Storm Reid, Chris Pine, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Zach Galifinakis, Michael Pena amongst other great actors. Meg's father, a NASA scientist has been missing for 4 years. She is having problems at school. Her adopted brother Charles is great. Great cast especially the youngsters. A whole bunch of characters will be entering Megan's life and taking her on a journey. PG. The new series of Doctor Who is on this year. You might like the soundtrack. You may have seen Life Of Pi, The Lovely Bones, Tomorrowland, The Dark Tower, Jumanji, Zathura, The Matrix, Doctor Who. Reece aka Mrs Whatsit looks good. Mrs. Who and Mrs Which are introduced. The group go travelling through space. Spectacular special effects. They are on a mission to find her father. Expect humorous dialogue. Especially from Mindy. All about female empowerment. Worth looking at the trivia and discussions.

 A thriller/black comedy starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac. Suburbicon is a town in the 50-60s. Directed by George Clooney. Produced by the Coen brothers. Moore plays two characters. It was confusing in the beginning about who was related to who. There is a home invasion that takes place at the home of Gardner Lodge. He has a young son. His wife is in a wheelchair. Her sister is staying for a while. Uncle Mitch visits now and then. A black family have moved into the neighborhood and aren't made to feel welcome. I was trying to see what the relevance was of having the Myers family. Plenty of death. It is an eclectic film. You may have seen Mom And Dad. Satirises surbaban life in America. An exceptional cast of actors. The police are investigating. Cert 15. There is real footage used in some scenes. I will look at the trivia section on IMDB. Fascinating location. Blackmail, violence and revenge are themes visited. Special features include commentary, soundtrack, cast and behind the scenes. Worth a look. So who lives in a house like this? A movie based on the videogame. Alicia Vikander plays Lara Croft. Her dad went off looking for a treasure never to return. This is an origin story. Lara isn't in a big mansion. She is working like a Deliveroo rider. See her boxing at her local gym. Music soundtrack may appeal to you. Dominic West plays her dad. There is the Himiko project. A few familiar faces: Nick Frost, Kristin Scott Thomas, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Derek Jacobi, Jaime Winstone. Great stunt work. Action adventure. Cert 12. Warner Bros 2018. Lara is on her way to an inhibited island off the coast of Japan.
Alicia is attractive. There are the squeals and groans that she makes that are nice. Great effects and cast of actors. I played the original game and it's sequel on the PlayStation. I remember one level set at the Opera House. I killed all the bad guys and was unable to complete the level. Some creepy stuff. When certain characters turn up I had had an inkling about what they would do. It is worth checking out. Special features are a behind the scenes documentary.
