  I watched War For The Planet Of The Apes. Starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson. Superb film. I like the soundtrack. War has been declared by the human soldiers. Some returning characters from previous films. Nice way the Fox logo comes up. Caeser is doing what he can to protect his kingdom. There is pleasant and hostile between the two species which is always interesting. You can but guess at what may have happened to humans from earlier films. There is a few scenes that are reminiscent of 12 Years A Slave, Shawshank Redemption, Passion Of The Christ. Nice seeing a few scenes of just Caeser and his closest friends on their journey. Comedy is provided by Bad Ape. Also you have human child Nova. Checkout her theme. I wonder if their will be another. You might want to see the original films and the Tim Burton one. You might like Grodd from The Flash. As it is set in the future there may be people wondering about the location. Worth watching. Visit The Chimp Store

I am watching Big Game starring Samuel L Jackson. He plays the President of the USA. Air Force One crashes in the wilderness of Finland. A bunch of terrorists are after him. There is a young hunter that is on a mission of his own. White subtitles blend into the background. There were no snakes on this plane. You might have seen Air Force One, The Purge, Die Hard, White House Down, Olympus Has Fallen. Not sure about Jim Broadbent's accent.  

I rented The Hitman's Bodyguard also with Sam Jackson and Ryan Reynolds.  Great opening theme music. It's one of those chalk and cheese films. You may have seen Safehouse, Training Day, The Heat, Pulp Fiction, Die Hard With A Vengeance, 51st State, Unknown, 7 Psychopaths, Big Game, Ronin, Leon, Lucy, The Fifth Element, The Equalizer.

 Richard E Grant, Gary Oldman also star. Set in London, Belasarus, Coventry, Amsterdam etc. Ryan plays a bodyguard to the VIPs. Sam is a hitman. They wind up together. Oldman plays a villainous President. Richard is a business man. Again the subtitles are difficult to read. The hitman's wife is played by Selma Hayak. She is in prison. Looking hot too. There is humour and violence. Interesting soundtrack.

I am watching The Flash season 3. Selling it on eBay soon enough. Great start to the show. The timeline had been changed so everything is different to the characters. Imagine what happened when The Doctor rebooted the universe. Nice to have the actors play their characters in a different style. It is Region 1 on the cover but played on my Samsung dvd player here in the UK. It was listed as Region 2 by the seller. Many notable characters. Some new and some old. I went to Cineworld in Loughborough to watch Justice League. The old hospital used to stand there where I went as a child. There were automated self service ticket machines. A large snack bar. It was £6.50 for an Adult and £7.25 for a regular coke and popcorn. I had gone up the escalators. It was quite impressive. There was the seating area as the room was being cleaned. I wasn't sure how I would find my seat. The numbers and letters were labelled. It must have been 10-20 minutes of ads and trailers. The film starred Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck to name a few. A new threat is upon the world. Superman is dead. Crime is on the rise. Batman is hoping to pull a team together. Wonder Woman is working in Europe. Cyborg is coming to terms with what he has become. The Flash is visiting his father in prison. Aquaman is living a life of solitude. Many cast members from the previous films return. It was quite loud as expected in a cinema. Plenty of action. Two post credit scenes. Some customers had already left. Ezra Miller provided the comedy. He will be popular. Gal looks amazing. A good soundtrack. Part 2 is out next year. Avengers Infinity War will be one to see. http://amzn.to/2zVB0S2 

I watched The Mummy. Part of the Dark Universe. A collection of monster movies. Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe star. It is a dark film with action and humour. Not like the previous films. A princess mummy has been ressurected and chaos ensues. The discovery was made by soldiers and archeologists. The tomb is removed. A curse has fallen. The music during the end credits is interesting. You might also like The Mummy trilogy, Extraodinary League Of Gentlemen. Universal Pictures 2017. See Movie Insider for the upcoming releases.

I watched Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. Patty Jenkins has done an excellent job. It follows Diana Prince during the 1st World War. It is an origin story. Quite different to how I remember it. Nice music. Great acting. Plenty of action. 

Cult Of Chucky sees some returning cast members. The lady Vika from the last film is in a hospital. Andy is now grown up. Jennifer Tilly aka Tiffany is Andy's bride. You might like Child's Play, Annabelle. Multiple versions of Chucky. Worth looking at reviews and discussion. Plenty of violence. Psychological. New style. Strange soundtrack.

Now watching Transformers The Last Knight. Cert12. Started off in the medieval era and comes to the not too distant future. Multiple locations and a variety of characters. Big, bolder and longer. Nice boobs on Vivian. The Earth is in ruins. Sir Anthony Hopkins played a Lord. There is the amusing Butler robot. Cade Jaegar (Mark Walberg) is on the run. The Autobots and Decepticons are still battling it out. Megatron/Galvatron is not doing that transformation that he did in the previous films. A magic staff with a talisman was once owned by the grand Merlin. It has alot of power. Various groups want to their hands on it. Gemma Chan makes a cameo. Borrows some ideas and makes nods to other films. Best to see the reviews and discussion. 

  

Colossal staring Anne Hathaway, Dan Stevens, Jason Sudekis. A drama and monster movie. An American woman is having relationship trouble whilst in Seoul there is a huge monster causing mayhem. One of those small town indie flicks. The subtitles were hard to read. You might have also seen Split. Interesting concept. Not a bad soundtrack. Supernatural psychological SciFi. I am watching Hidden Figures. Based on the true story. African American women working for NASA. There work hadn't been acknowledged until now. Interesting opening scene. 1961. They were the mathematicians helping John Glenn getting into space.

More songs from the 60s to set the scene. Mary is hot. You might like The Butler, Birth Of A Nation, Selma, Mandela, 12 Years A Slave, Get Out, Black And White, Malcolm X, The Help, Roots. Great cast. It was pre segregation in America. Sexism and racism in the workplace. Irony being the white Americans were also immigrants. Another scene to highlight where Katherine had to find a toilet. Also the way they speak to her and stare is rude. Dorothy wanting a supervisor role but not getting it. Whoever came up with the Jim Crow laws is the dumbest fuck that ever existed. It is an alien world to modern America. In the TV show Timeless the crew visit this time and get help from Katherine.
