The Shape Of Water

   A romantic comedy drama directed by Guillermo Del Toro. Set in 1962. Sally Hawkins plays a mute cleaner named Elisa. She works in a government lab. Zelda is her friend and colleague. They are cleaners. Richard Jenkins is her gay neighborhour. There is prejudice which was around at that time. Michael Shannon is an agent that bought in this merman. His wife has nice boobs as does Eliza. There is nudity. Opposites attract. I wondered how things would work. This film had won an Oscar. The soundtrack might be to your taste. Michael Stuhlbarg plays a scientist and Doug Jones as the merman. You may have seen Del Toro's other films. They are unique. You might like Wes Anderson, M Knight Shyamalan. Cert 15. The DVD which I borrowed from the library was skipping in one scene. I will look at trivia, discussions and reactions. I recommend that you take a look. Great cast, dialogue and special effects. Not sure why Eliza masturbates in the bath and the Agent washes his hands before using the urinal but not after. See the ads that I have placed. Be sure to link my blog everywhere.

Constantine starring Keanu Reeves, Shia LeBeouf, Rachel Weisz, Tilda Swinton, Gavin Rossdale, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Stormare, Jesse Ramirez, Max Baker, Pruitt Taylor Vince. A supernatural horror based on the DC comic book. I enjoyed the film and the game. I have read one graphic novel. Yet to see the TV series. Lots of special features. The Spear Of Destiny has been found after so long. A detective has lost her sister. John is busy carrying out exorcisms. The demons are trying to break into the mortal plain. Surprises and scares are plenty. Good action and special effects. Worth taking a look. There is an excellent scene on an empty street just after the detective leaves John's apartment. One cringey moment "finger licking good". I blogged about this film before. With the game there are cheats. One activated, go crazy. If you like GTA then you'll like this. See the reviews. I am watching an old film called The Wolfman. I couldn't find any mention of it on this blog. Well it is a Gothic horror starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving, Art Malik. Lawrence is a theatre actor. His sister in law has come for help as her husband is missing. Lawrence visits his estranged father. An inspector from Scotland Yard is here to investigate the brutal killings done the werewolf. Set in the English countryside. Some scenes in London. Good effects, acting, dialogue and music. Worth taking a look. Cert 15. Contains gore and violence. Expect scares and surprises.

Galaxy Quest a SciFi comedy. It does parody Star Trek. A crew of a cult TV show reunite for a convention. A group of real life aliens have come to seek their help. Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Justin Long, Rainn Wilson. Released in 1999. You will recognise some actors. Good effects. I had seen it before this blog came into fruition. Alien, Toy Story, Cowboys And Aliens. You might like Spaceballs. Cast list. Some touching moments. Plenty of action. Bonus material is included.

Pitch Perfect 3

The Bella's have graduated from college. It is the third and final movie. Musical comedy cert 12. Universal Pictures 2017. Bonus features are included. Cast include Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hana Mae Lee, Alexis Knapp, John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks. There is a competition for which the Bellas reunite for. As expected there will be interesting performances and songs you may want to buy. Some good dialogue. Strange characters. Great cast of actors. It was an explosive beginning. The girls have their own lives. Talented singers. Can be cheesy as with the scene at the army base. Some attractive ladies notably Emily, Stacey and Chloe. The two competition hosts from previous films are filming a documentary. You may have seen Grease, Glee, Sing, High School Musical. See Amazon and Cduniverse for deals. The actor playing Theo was in Hollyoaks. You have Lilly still whispering. John Lithgow with that Australian accent might be a talking point. Most of the songs that they cover I don't like. I don't get the hype about DJ Khalid. The actor playing Chicago is in the TV show Timeless. Fat Amy steals the show.

The scarf plug connection at the back pisses me off as it moves and the sound or picture goes. Interesting opening. Skiing at the Winter Olympics. Nice narration by Jessica. A sports career ending in injury. Molly Bloom started a high class poker game. Nice shots of Molly's cleavage. Elba plays her lawyer after she had been arrested by the FBI. Some flashbacks. Her boss Dean is an asshole. He has her do oddjobs. He has a weekly poker game. This is in Hollywood. Names have been changed but people will try and figure it out. Heidi Fleiss had a brothel with high profile clients. Chastain always looks hot. Talking from the next room as I am trying to watch the film. You may have seen The Wolf Of Wall Street, Rogue Trader, Dallas Buyer's Club, All The Money In The World, Suffragette, 12 Years A Slave. I am not into Poker or any gambling. Great cast. Great special effects, acting and story. Nice soundtrack. Centuries into the future. SciFi drama. Many volunteers are going through a trial of experiments. Imagine with Captain America, Deadpool. The main protagonist is Rick. He has a wife and young son. Taylor Schilling, Agnes Dean, Nathalie Emmanuel, Tom Wilkinson. Extras; cast interviews.
