I have rewatched Marvel's Blade starring Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff. Both actors did an outstanding job. This is a dark film. Before the MCU was started. There will be a new Blade film next year. I first watched this film in 98 at a cinema in Redditch. My friend from college worked there. I did find the film scary. The special effects were of that time. The choreography needs to be sharper. Blade is a half human/vampire he hunts the bad vampires. They have blended in with society. Whistler is his mentor and helps to produce weapons. There is a doctor named Karen that is attacked at hospital and is soon dragged into the situation. Deacon Frost, once human now vampire is a rebel. He is leader of his own gang. The council don't like how he does things. He is intent on fulfilling a prophecy. Good soundtrack. See IMDb for full cast and trivia. I am watching the rest of the trilogy soon.

There is a new threat in town. A band of Reapers that feed off vampires and humans. Infecting the victims. The council has come for Blade's help. He has an apprentice named Skud. He had been searching for Whistler. The effects are better. More kick ass music. Takes place two years after the first film.

The third and final film. There was controversy because of the difficult relationship between Snipes and the director. Some people knock this film. I thought that it was decent. The FBI is hunting for Blade whilst he fights Vampires and Familiars. There is the legend that is Dracula. Having been resurrected. The Nightstalkers are a young team of hunters. More humour and action. Ryan Reynolds is a scene stealer. Currently playing another Marvel character. Dominic is a regular cast member for Legends Of Tomorrow. Parker and Jessica are hot. Good soundtrack.

Legends Of Tomorrow

I have started watching season 5 of Legends Of Tomorrow. You had Crisis part 5 and then this episode. Plenty of humour and fourth wall breaks. As the universe has been rebooted things are different. Ava and Sara look hot. The time bereau was shut down. A senator wants to keep the team in check. Ava hires a documentary crew to show what goes on behind the scenes. People have likened it to The Office. Some souls had been released from Hell. Nate feels that something or someone is missing. Sara is in mourning. Ava has been running the ship. Mick continues to write. An eclectic mix of characters. I recognised the YouTube reaction channels shown. You might like the soundtrack. I may update the blog. Please feel free to share the page.

Cell

CELL is a movie based on the novel by Stephen King. A great book that I recommend. This film is quite good. If you like The Crazies, 28 Days Later or any zombie films then check this out. John Cusack plays a graphic artist that lives in Boston. His wife and son live in another town. People are constantly on their mobile phones. From the ones using they receive some sort of message, an infection. It drives them crazy. They become violent. Samuel L Jackson plays a train driver. A few other survivors are introduced. Good scares and lots of violence. Cert 15. Good acting from the main cast and the actors. You can look up trivia and discussions once having seen the film.

The Current War is a biological drama based on true events. Back in the 1880s onwards. Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse are competing to see who can become successful with their invention. DC and AC electricity. They were prepared to play dirty. Nikola Tesla had been screwed over and that is well known. I was not familiar with Westinghouse. Edison is well known. Martin Scorcese is the Executive Producer. Nice cinematography, costume, props, effects. I like the dialogue, acting and soundtrack. It is a good movie. Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Tom Holland, Nicholas Hoult are amongst the cast. I will be looking at trivia and the back story of some of the people mentioned. Edison has many inventions to his name. The inventors wanted to power an entire city using electricity. Edison does most travelling by train. He has his secretary by his side. J P Morgan the banker is involved with financing the ideas. You might also like:

The Mandalorian

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker 

I watched this at Cineworld. Sat in seat H7. Served by a pretty blonde at the counter. Large sweet popcorn and ice blast mixed with all flavours. This is the last film in the saga. A year later... Rey is busy training. A signal left by the Emperor Palpatine leads Kylo to a distant planet. The Rebels are still fighting the First Order. Great soundtrack, special effects and acting. Expect cameos and surprises. There in one scene is a nod to the original trilogy. Tying up loose ends. Ignore the critics. Daisy Ridley is gorgeous as ever. Really shines in her role as Rey. One scene of dialogue might be compared to Endgame. Sometimes it can get cheesy with certain characters. Epic battle scene. I haven't seen The Mandalorian. Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and many more. A JJ Abrams film.

I have watched The Phantom Menace online. I have seen all the Star Wars films. Just wanted to revisit the others after seeing Ep9. Prequels. Focusing on Anakin Skywalker and how he became Darth Vader. Naboo is the main planet in the story. The Trade Federation is holding the people hostage. You have the Senate which is trying to root out the bad apples. There is the Jedi Council. Obi Wan and his master have been sent to negotiate. Senator Palpatine wants to gain power. Anakin wants a better life and is to train to become a Jedi. You have the legendary Darth Maul with his dual light sabre. Released in 1999. The effects are OK. Might need remastering for 2020. Jar Jar Binks is annoying. Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Samuel L Jackson and others. Good soundtrack.

I went onto watch Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith. Familiar characters are introduced. The story goes further into the future. Hayden Christiansen, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman are joined by a stellar cast. A clone army had been developed and are being used by the Republic. Senator Palpatine has gained a lot of power and has am influence on Anakin. These films set up the original trilogy. 

Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope
Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford. The original trilogy that I am now watching. Having seen the prequels and sequels it gives it more context. The plans of the DeathStar have been stolen. Princess Leia wants to get them to the rebels. She needs Obi Wan's help. You are introduced to a young Luke. Working on his uncle's farm. Dreaming of a better life. Han Solo is recruited to help get the team to where they need to be. Darth Vader is after the plans. The films had been remastered.

 Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. I had got this DVD from EBay. It has been remastered. I am selling this DVD. After the destruction of the Death Star. The Rebels have set up a new base on the planet Hoth. Darth Vader has sent out countless probes to track down Skywalker. I had seen some animation related to the saga decades ago. I haven't seen any current spin offs. I had been doing something earlier in the day and I tried watching the film and fell asleep part way through. No reflection on the film I was just tired. Listening to The Awakening which was combined with Binary Sunset for The Force Awakens trailer. You will like the soundtrack. Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Frank Oz, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Sir Alec Guiness, David Prowse, Billy Dee Williams, James Earl Jones star. Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi

Luke Skywalker has headed back to Tatooine. He must rescue Han Solo from Jabba The Hutt. A new Deathstar is in completion. The Emporer pays a visit. Vader has plans of his own. Poignant scene between Luke and Yoda and also the dialogue between Luke and Vader. I hadn't paid much attention to the Saga back in the day. Nice music that Ewoks play. You will like those creatures. They did have a cartoon of their own. This version that I watched was remastered. It had Hayden Christensen. Leia looked good. Some characters pronounced names in their own way.
