I have decided to cancel my Netflix account. Not much in terms of good content. So I decided to watch one last thing. A horror comedy called Day Shift. Stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Karla Souza, Meagan Good, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Peter Stormare. Set in the city of Los Angeles. Bud is a man that hunts vampires. He is trying to get enough money together to pay for his daughter's tuition. He is seperated from his wife Jocelyn who is hot. Somewhat useless in later scenes. There is the daughter Paige who is clever. Troy is a dealer of sorts that Bud deals with. You have Audrey posing as a real estate agent. She is practically a leader of these vampires. Another attractive woman. Then you also have the lovely Heather who just moved to the apartment block. There is a business called The Union. Shrouded in secrecy. Similar to R.i.p.d and Men In Black. So many hunters work here. Seth is a union rep assigned to monitor Bud. I did get Training Day vibes. Interesting take on the vampire. They are quick, flexible and can regenerate. Finding there are 5 types of vampire. Good soundtrack. There is a reference made to other vampire films. Chad Stahleski is the producer. He may have been involved with the stunt work. The violence is similar to John Wick. Clever action scenes. Interesting dialogue. Great work from everyone involved. You might like Night Teeth, Stake Land, From Dusk Till Dawn, Blade, Day Walkers, 30 Days Of Night, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Of course there are many more. I hadn't been overly bothered by Jamie Foxx. I have seen a few of his films from Booty Call, Collateral, Ray, Spider-man No Way Home, Amazing Spider-man 2, White House Down. Even saw a stand up special. Haven't seen much of Dave Franco. He was looking good in whatever clothes they put him in. Worth looking at the trivia and discussions once you have seen the film. See some reaction channels. Showing on Netflix now. Released in 2022.

Nope
Howdy! Well where do I begin? At the cinema to see the latest Jordan Peele film Nope. He is a genius. Written, produced and directed by him. A horror scifi. A family of horse wranglers living out in the middle of nowhere. They are often hired by Hollywood. I bet that the crew featured in scenes were actually crew members. OJ is the son played by Daniel Kaluyaa. Keke Palmer plays his annoying sister Emerald. Their dad Otis (Keith David) is in charge. Not sure what happened to the mum. Things fall out of sky. I liked the creepiness of the setting. People have been dissappearing. Michael Wincott was in Alien Resurrection. He plays a cinematographer. Brandon Perea is a handsome man, he plays tech guy Angel. Steven Yeun owns this theme park. His wife dressed like a Toy Story character. There is this story about an incident with a chimpanzee on the set of a sitcom. Nod to Planet Of The Apes. There is a cover of Mad in the office. Peele was a cast member of Mad TV. You will have seen Get Out, Us, Candyman. I will see what he comes out with next. There are aliens observing the humans. There are those audio and visual clues. Someone on YouTube will explain the meaning of the film. There were trailers for The Woman King, Smile, Prey For The Devil. Not many people in the theatre. Great acting and effects. Nice soundtrack. Need to read the back story of the black cowboy on a horse caught on film. I did think that the trailer might spoil things. Hopefully you check this out.

Bite me
I have just watched Night Teeth. A horror thriller. Benny is a young man at college. He makes music. His brother owns a chauffeur company. In this world the humans and vampires live side by side. There is a truce that has been broken by the power hungry Victor. Blaire and Zoe hire a limo for the night. Benny just happened to work that shift. You may have seen Collateral, From Dusk Till Dawn, Blade, Daywalkers. The actress playing Blaire reminds me of Selena Gomez. Victor is similar to Deacon Frost. Grace and Eva have nice tits. The soundtrack is good. Good acting from all the cast. Currently on Netflix.
Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as Benny Perez
Debby Ryan as Blaire
Lucy Fry as Zoe
Alfie Allen as Victor
Sydney Sweeney as Eva
Raúl Castillo as Jay Perez
Alexander Ludwig as Rocko
Megan Fox as Grace
Bryan Batt as Gio
Marlene Forte as Abuela
I have watched Vampires Vs The Bronx. A comedy horror. Set in the a neighbourhood. It is being gentrified bit by bit. People are going missing. Vampires are moving in. Some idiot rightwingers will take offence to the film as they are a bunch of snowflakes. Some stereotypes being used. A few annoying characters. You have Miguel the protagonist with his two best friends. Organising a party to help save the Bodega. You have some familiar faces like Chris Redd, Method Man, Mero. I thought Sarah Gadon was Caitlin Reilly. Other cast are Coco Jones, Gregory Diaz IV, Jordan Michael, Gerald Jones III who reminds me of Tyler The Creator, Shea Whigham, Vladimir Caamano. The soundtrack is decent. You might have seen Night Teeth, Blade, Attack The Block.

Please enjoy your flight
I watched Blood Red Sky. A horror film that has vampires. The trailer does show alot. The film in in German and English. You get the option of multiple languages and subtitles. The opening scene has a plane arriving at a British army base. Probably could have done without it. Go to flashback mode to the beginning of the story. Nadja is suffering from a mysterious illness and there is a cure in New York. She must board a plane to get there. The son Elias was a little annoying. You have a multitude of characters. Good acting, stunts, music. The actress Peri Baumeister does remind me of Naomi Rapace. Dominic Purcell has played a vampire in Blade Trinity. Imdb trivia will mention that. A bunch of terrorists have hijacked the plane. Eightball is a psycho. You learn a bit more about the infection. I am left wondering how many others might be like this. There will be spoiler filled discussions on the story. I am reminded of Die Hard 2, Flight Of The Living Dead, Quarantine 2 Terminal. Showing on Netflix.

Blade
I have rewatched Marvel's Blade starring Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff. Both actors did an outstanding job. This is a dark film. Before the MCU was started. There will be a new Blade film next year. I first watched this film in 98 at a cinema in Redditch. My friend from college worked there. I did find the film scary. The special effects were of that time. The choreography needs to be sharper. Blade is a half human/vampire he hunts the bad vampires. They have blended in with society. Whistler is his mentor and helps to produce weapons. There is a doctor named Karen that is attacked at hospital and is soon dragged into the situation. Deacon Frost, once human now vampire is a rebel. He is leader of his own gang. The council don't like how he does things. He is intent on fulfilling a prophecy. Good soundtrack. See IMDb for full cast and trivia. I am watching the rest of the trilogy soon.
Blade 2 starring Wesley Snipes, Kris Kristofferson, Luke Goss, Danny John Jules, Norman Reedus, Ron Perlman.
There is a new threat in town. A band of Reapers that feed off vampires and humans. Infecting the victims. The council has come for Blade's help. He has an apprentice named Skud. He had been searching for Whistler. The effects are better. More kick ass music. Takes place two years after the first film.
