Would you like some Candy?

I watched the Candyman film from Jordan Peele. A reboot/sequel. A horror movie. It will trigger the rightwingers. It does acknowledge what happens in the original films. Cabrini Green has been gentrified. You have this art community. Anthony is a budding artist, he lives with his girlfriend. There is a satirical look at America. You would like the originals, Us, Get Out. Good special effects. A new way of looking at the story. You see the types of people that fall victim to the Candyman. Anthony does summon him. He initially becomes his messenger. Painting pictures based on the legend. It is quite dark. Discusses racial inequality. Some cameos. You will recognise some actors. Teyonah was last in Wandavision. Interesting to see discussions and trivia. Expect twists. With the end credits and some storytelling scenes whoever did the animation puppetry did a good job. Watch this film with an open mind.

Antlers is a 2021 horror movie from Guillermo Del Toro. You may have seen The Shape Of Water, Pan's Labyrinth, Mama. A supernatural drama horror. Set in a small town in Oregon. I am now interested in finding out more about the state. Grimm was also set here. It is always so gloomy? Great acting and special effects. I might recommend that you see The New Daughter, Hereditary, The Grudge, The Ring, Candyman. Anyway there is a young lad named Lucas. He is going through some trouble at home. His brother and father are sick. There is a creature from Native American mythology called the Wendigo. It is on the loose. The local teacher is worried about Lucas. She herself went through an abusive childhood. Graphic, gory, violent. Very dark. You might read trivia or discussions on this film. David S Goyer is also a producer. Director: Scott Cooper.
Starring: Keri Russell; Jesse Plemons; Jeremy T. Thomas; Graham Greene; Scott Haze; Rory Cochrane; Amy Madigan
Based on: "The Quiet Boy"; by Nick Antosca.

Having watched the recent series. The finale was great. Sacha Dhawan and Jodie Whittaker shined. Nice origin story and twists. Lone Cyberman was a good villain.

I am currently watching The Flash and Legends Of Tomorrow. I started season one of CW Constantine. Stars Matt Ryan as the master of the dark arts. Good actors, special effects and story. John spent time in a mental health hospital. He had lost a young girl Astra to a demon. Legends tackles that story in season 5. He has to go help a young woman named Luv who's life is in danger. He is a good character. I saw the movie, animation and read the Hellraiser comics.

Gemini Man is a SciFi thriller starring Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Benedict Wong, Clive Owen. Good soundtrack. Nice special effects and filming locations. The opening scene is impressive where the hitman Henry is on a hillside. Sniper aimed at a target sat on a moving train. He wants to go into retirement. The head of the DIA doesn't want to let him go so easily. A new breed of soldier is sent to hunt him down. Henry is on the run with a few friends by his side. Good acting. Props to the body double and stuntmen. You do feel sorry for Junior. Nice dialogue. I recommend that you watch this film.
