Smeg
I watched Red Dwarf: The Promised Land. A two part special on Uktv. I looked up reactions on YouTube and saw a video from MechaKaren labelling it as woke. Well she is a dumbass and has clearly never seen the show. You can tell who is rightwing. But anyway don't let that spoil it for you. I did think that they would have left it as it was with the last series. As now the cast are much older. You have young cast members that might not have been born during the original run. Packed full of gags. Good special effects. This show never took itself seriously. A cult scifi programme. Very British. Good having a live studio audience. Some interesting dialogue. There are ad breaks which I didn't like. As it happens there is a ship of the Cat people. All the little things that cats do gets referenced here. Rodon is the leader and main villain. He wants to be worshipped. There is a stone of Anubis that he wants. He orders these clerics to be executed. They escape and hope to run into their God. Meanwhile on board Red Dwarf things go as they always do. There is worry over how Lister has been behaving. Mention of him being the last human. There is the Ouroboros episode that I thought of. As a back up disc of the A.I. Holly was found, they booted him up. It leads to complications. The crew are on board Starbug drifting further into space. Calamity ensues. The chanting was cringe worthy. The opening credits shows various scenes could be spoilers. You will recognise some actors. I don't know if there will be anything after this. Good soundtrack. Chris Barry, Craig Charles, Danny John Jules, Robert Lewellyn, Norman Lovett. An action adventure that I recommend.

IN FABRIC
A Curzon Artificial Eye production. British indie horror. A retail store in Thames Valley is the setting. A red dress that gets passed around from owner to owner, it us cursed. The look and sound of the film is unique. Quite retro. Cavern Of Anti-Matter provide the soundtrack. You have a middle aged black woman named Sheila. She lives with her son Vince. His girlfriend Gwen is abit of a bitch. Various other characters are featured. I remember watching the Tom Hiddleston film High Rise. You might recognise the actors. I will look at the IMDb Trivia page. Peter Strickland is the man behind this film. It follows on from previous films. The sales assistant is mysterious. There is humour. I copied the cast info from a site. A surreal film. The scene with the mannequin was weird. Great actors. The two managers Clive and Stash are funny. Reg is a man on a stag do. See the review by Mark Kermode. Cert 15.
