Hope that you enjoy your stay
Infinity Pool is a surreal horror. Directed by Brandon Cronenberg. You might like Possessor or even films by his father David. Starring Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth, John Ralston, Cleopatra Coleman, Alan Katić, Amanda Brugel, Jeff Ricketts. James and Em are a rich couple. On holiday at this resort. It caters to their every need. This country is quite poor, crime is high, the police are seen as corrupt. The laws are very strict. The guests aren't meant to leave the compound. Gabi and Alban invite them for a picnic. An accident occurs. For some reason the authorities have this machine. It will clone the suspect for a price. You would then be present for the execution. If not then it is death. Thresh is a detective that will interview them. It is a weird film. Attractive cast members. Good nudity scenes. The new friends are clearly a bad influence. I was siding more with the police. I will look at discussions. I did think that it is possible where you could be swapped with your clone. Great acting. Violence, sex, swearing aplenty. Some recognisable faces. You should also watch The Perfect Getaway, The Menu, Fantasy Island, Hostel, A Cure For Wellness, Total Recall, The 6th Day, Midsommar, In The Earth.

Let me in
Prey For The Devil starring Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Lisa Palfrey, Nicholas Ralph, Ben Cross, Virginia Madsen. A horror movie about demonic possession. It has mixed reviews on imdb. The actress playing Sister Ann is hot. Anyway there are flashbacks to her childhood living with an abusive mother that may have been possessed. Now a grown woman she is at a convent. Transfers to a college operated by The Vatican. Set in Boston. Women aren't allowed to be exorcists. You will recognise the actor playing Father Quinn. He is teaching these priests. He allows Ann to join his lectures. She makes a few friends, one being Dante. There is a psychologist Dr Peters, the actress you will recognise. She gives scientific reasoning for the cases. There is a young girl named Natalie who is possessed. A demon has a connection with Ann regarding her mother. Ann has to fight the forces of darkness. Good jump scares. Often these supernatural films become predictable. Good special effects and acting. You might like The Exorcist, The Last Exorcism, The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, The Possession Of Hannah Grace.
The Devil Conspiracy. I had felt that I had already seen this before. A horror thriller. Independent film. Mixed reviews as expected. Alice Orr-Ewing, Joe Doyle, Eveline Hall, Peter Mensah, Joe Anderson, Spencer Wilding, Brian Caspe and James Faulkner. Interesting story. Good visuals. Starting off with these portals or wormholes. One from Heaven and other to Hell. Lucifer is cast down. You see Michael arrive to chain him up. Modern day Italy. Laura is an artist though might have other projects going on. Marconi is a priest that has given her access. Meanwhile there is this company that can engineer clones of the most influential people in history. There are people funding this. Liz is a demonic woman. Working with other Satanists. They want to resurrect Lucifer. The Shroud Of Turin is stolen. Christ's DNA will be used. I did wonder how they weren't suspicious of a woman in a cloak. Michael must get the stolen item and thwart their plans. Good soundtrack. Unknown actors but did a good job. You might have seen Legion, Constantine, End Of Days, Prey For The Devil, Supernatural, Lucifer.

A chapter from the Book Of The Dead
I went to the cinema to see Evil Dead Rise. Directed by Sam Raimi and also produced by Bruce Campbell. I had booked as soon as I was awake. It was unfortunately subtitled. There was this huge fly that was pissing me off. Hanging around for a while. I felt that the trailer showed too much. This film has been getting praised. Good special effects. Great cast of actors. The two leading ladies are hot. I am sure those that were thirsting over Lady D from Resident Evil 8 will now simp over Sutherland. Set in Los Angeles. There is an opening scene from the cabin by the lake. Where trouble had already started. So LA takes place the day before. An old building that used to be a bank. There are a variety of people living there. The main protagonists, the family seem quite liberal. Leading an alternative lifestyle. An earthquake happens. Now it could have been intentional. Ellie runs her own business. She has three kids. The youngest is Kassie, Bridget is socially conscious, planning to go to a protest. Danny loves his music and has dj equipment. Beth is a guitar technician. She realises that she is pregnant. She goes to visit her relatives. The Book Of The Dead is found in a vault. Partly Danny's fault for this shit happening. I did wonder how this film connects to the the other films and tv series. If Ash Williams would make an appearance but it would not work. Pretty soon a demon has been released. Takes hold of Ellie. I like that no one is safe. Plenty of violence and gore. It will have jump scares which didn't bother me. You should see Alyssa Sutherland react to the tweets from the fans. Will there be anymore films? I am not sure why the man was shouting at the cast during the premiere. Maybe an antisjw conservative. I didn't stay to see if there was an end credits scene.
Lily Sullivan as Beth
Alyssa Sutherland as Ellie
Morgan Davies as Danny
Gabrielle Echols as Bridget
Nell Fisher as Kassie
Richard Crouchley as Caleb
Mirabai Pease as Teresa[m
Anna-Maree Thomas as Jessica
Jayden Daniels as Gabriel
Billy Reynolds-McCarthy as Jake
Tai Wano as Scott

Who is there?
Horror movies at Cduniverse
I have just watched Knock At The Cabin. An M Night Shyamalan film. Horror drama. A young gay couple Andrew and Eric have gone to stay at this nice cabin in the countryside. With them is their cute adopted daughter Wen. A burly man approached the home. His name is Leonard. He is soon joined by Redmond, Adriane and Sabrina. All of them from different states. Now they speak of an apocalypse. The only way to stop it is for a sacrifice. They could be telling the truth. However they might just be a doomsday cult and nothing will actually happen. I like with these films by this director. You will be kept guessing. Great acting by all of the cast. Especially Dave Bautista. The group aren't really that threatening but are convinced that the world is about to end. You can see that the characters are conflicted. I haven't seen anything that Rupert Grint was in beside Harry Potter. Based on the novel The Cabin At The End Of The World by Paul G Tremblay. You might also like Cabin In The Woods, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Don't Look Up, Mother's Day, The Strangers. Worth checking out. Dave Bautista, Ben Aldridge, Jonathan Groff, Steve Sacavitch, Kristen Cui, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Rupert Grint. It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Enjoy your stay
I have watched Barbarian. A horror movie. Set in Detroit. Tess is a young woman coming over for a job interview. She has rented an Air B&B. But it is double booked. Keith is a man that she wonders if she can trust. He is also staying there. Something is lurking in the dark. You have AJ, an actor that is being investigated for sexual assault. He gets to the city. There is a flashback to Frank that resided in this city. The area looks run down. I would have to look at the back story. From the title I assumed what type of threat would be there. I did end up thinking if there was any point to this film. You might like The Woman.
Georgina Campbell · Tess ; Bill Skarsgård · Keith ; Justin Long · AJ ; Matthew Patrick Davis · The Mother ; Richard Brake · Frank.

Eat the rich
The Menu is a horror comedy. A satirical take on the food industry. I have worked in catering and hospitality. It can be seen as pretentious. The extras will have been professional chefs. They did an excellent job. As this is a film and you have these actors. I did work vip events.
Ralph Fiennes as Chef Slowik
Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot
Nicholas Hoult as Tyler
Hong Chau as Elsa
Janet McTeer as Lillian
Paul Adelstein as Ted
John Leguizamo as "movie star"
Aimee Carrero as Felicity
Reed Birney as Richard
Judith Light as Anne
Rebecca Koon as Linda
Rob Yang as Bryce
Arturo Castro as Soren
Mark St. Cyr as Dave
Peter Grosz as "sommelier"
Christina Brucato as Katherine
Adam Aalderks as Jeremy
Matthew Cornwell as Dale
You do wonder what is going to happen. The guests arrive on an island to dine at a fine restaurant. Chef Slowik is in charge. He has everything running like clockwork. Intelligent dialogue. Philosophical. There are metaphors worth looking in to. A great cast of actors. I was using Bluetooth headphones and maybe it seemed out of sync. Hard to get hear what was being said at the beginning. Many guests talking over each other. Some characters were annoying. I would need to look at the back story. I do recommend Old and Fantasy Island. Amongst the guests are business men, an actor, food critics. Most of the action is taking place in the restaurant. You get the description of the food. I saw it on Disney+ but it will be available on all platforms. I do like the design. See the trivia and discussions. Plenty of people have watched Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen, Michel Roux's Service, Great British Bake Off. They may enjoy this film. Surprises are in store for the guests and audience. I thought it would end a certain way. The cast will be well fed. Ralph having played scary characters like the Chef, Voldemort, Francis Dolarhyde. I did get a feeling about how two characters were connected. They acknowledged Covid. The Chef talks about the food with each course. Elsa keeps an eye on the guests. Margot is one of the main characters. On her date with Tyler who is a foodie. Anya is stunning. You will recognise some faces. Worth having a butchers. Compliments to the chef. Eat the rich.

M3GAN
I went to the cinema to see a new scifi horror film from Blumhouse. In the room were several people however this woman was quite vocal and that annoyed me. Anyway it is M3GAN.
Allison Williams · Gemma
Violet McGraw · Cady
Ronny Chieng · David
Amie Donald · M3gan
Jenna Davis · M3gan
Jen Van Epps - Tess
Brian Jordan Alvarez - Cole
Stephane Garneau-Monten - Kurt
There were scenes where I knew something bad was going to happen and to which characters. I had watched Brian on YouTube, Jenna is also on there. Ronny was on The Daily Show. Moving on you have Cady. On the road with her parents. There is an accident. Afterwards she goes to live with her hot aunt Gemma. Who is creating robotic toys. I like the satire. I am reminded of Robocop, Westworld and Child's Play. Gemma has secretly been working on creating a robot girl that could befriend a child. The boss is obviously annoyed. There are the two colleagues working at the lab. The personal assistant is helping the boss. M3gan is cute, creepy and clever. I like how she is very observant of humans. She is evolving and would act and think for herself. She is meant to help Cady with her trauma and protect her from harm. She becomes obsessive and will remove anyone seen as a threat.
The special effects and stunts were great. Fantastic acting. You will like the soundtrack. Good horror. I think M3gan is a brilliant character. She may look like a girl but she is a powerful machine. She may be a psycho but is she really the villain or are the humans the bad ones? There is something that the personal assistant Kurt was doing that there should have been more information on. I have been a fan of James Wan and Jason Blum since the early days. They never disappoint. There is talk of a sequel. But it should have been a standalone film. I recommend this film and you should see Archive, Tau, The Machine, Morgan, Replicas, Chappie, Short Circuit, Terminator, The Matrix, Ex Machina, Robocop, Extinction, Battle Of The Damned, Westworld, Child's Play, Humans. See Imdb for cast and trivia.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Silent Night is a comedy horror film from 2021. Starring Keira Knightley. It is Christmas. This is England. A family are having a party and they have invited friends. There is this oncoming storm and it will kill everything in it's path. One of those films that leads up to the apocalypse. You have a variety of characters. You see how they interact and what secrets will be shared. As the pandemic was still on. I do wonder if this was influenced by it. There are these films worth seeing, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, Don't Look Up, Await Further Instructions, Ready Or Not, The Children. Lily Rose Depp is hot. Nice soundtrack. Good acting especially from the children. You will recognise the actors from their previous work. The trailer can give abit away. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Pride
I watched They/Them. A 2022 horror movie. Released by Blumhouse. Written and directed by John Logan. Kevin Bacon is Executive Producer and star. The low ratings on Imdb and Rotten Tomatoes will be from the antisjw conservatives. This is a good film. Great cast of actors. I liked the dialogue. It is satirical. You get to see the viewpoints of various characters. A group of lgbt young people arrive at a Christian summer camp. Meanwhile there is a serial killer on the loose. Has it's comedic moments. Nice soundtrack. The character Gabriel reminded me of Ellen Page. Worth seeing what the young cast have been doing before. You may also have seen Midsommar, Don't Worry Darling, The Hunt, Get Out. There is sex and nudity. I recommend that you see this. I watched it on a free website which has the pop ups. My Bluetooth headphones needed charging.

BEatingU
I watched Jeepers Creepers Reborn. I saw this reaction highlight video from StruggleNation. They seem to think negatively of the film. So that kind of tainted my view when watching the film. Starting off this old couple travelling on the road. Looking at the car scenes the cgi special effects were obvious. Even further on when they are outdoors. I have seen plenty of indie horror films. Not sure if it was the script, the actors or something else. You get the interracial couple as it has been pointed out, black male and white female. Laine is travelling in the car with her annoying boyfriend. They are going to a convention. This film is in the long line of teen horror flicks. I was wondering about the visions that Laine has. Meanwhile there is a cult operating in this town. Maybe doing a deal with the monster. The Creeper looks different. I prefer the original design. He has come out of hibernation to hunt. A raffle competition has been thrown and the lucky person gets to go to a haunted house. Laine is attractive. Nice tits. The Asian girl is nice too. Sydney Craven, Gary Graham, Ocean Navarro, Gabriel Freilich, Peter Brooke. They are supposed to be making this a trilogy. I am not sure if it will happen. There was negativity in the comments section of the trailer. Some muppet probably used "woke" and "diversity". I am trying to figure out the end. Anyway I was hoping that it would be over. The fourth film with the original actress should have been made. Maybe get an origin story of The Creeper. They did reference the trilogy. What was it with the stereotypical gay character? The way the boyfriend threw his food away after just having bought it to play a game. I would have like more violence and gore. Nice end credits song. I saw this on one of those free sites. Pop up ads and buffering. It is officially on Amazon Prime. Check out trivia and discussion threads. You might see the reviews.
I have watched the modern rebooted Hellraiser. Based on the novel by Clive Barker. I do recommend that you watch the original film series. Starting off with a millionaire obtaining the cursed puzzle box. Six years later you have our protagonist Riley, an ex junkie. She has a boyfriend. She lives with her brother, his boyfriend and roommate. She does steal the box from the millionaire. Eventually she would try and research what the box is about. Impressive special effects. The Cenobites are beings from another dimension. They were probably seen as demons. What if they are aliens. Whenever the box has been activated they come to collect. There are gifts that can be given to the user. Good soundtrack. Not sure if there will be a sequel. It is a good film. The trailer was impressive. I will look at discussions and trivia. Good cast of actors. There will be mixed reviews.
I am watching V/H/S/99 on Shudder. A horror anthology. I recommend that you see the previous films. Nice touch of nostalgia. Costumes, music, visual effects on point. Opening with this lad playing toy soldiers. Next there is a teenage punk band who want to investigate a location where a famous band died. You see how the members are insensitive towards their drummer. Somewhat predictable. The next scene is this pretty brunette who looks like Billie Eilish. It was predictable. A hazing ceremony. The game show was obscure and funny. Great acting. Nice tits. Annoying characters, a Gollum impression. Steven Ogg is in this. See Imdb for cast. There are more stories. I will let you find out. Imagine what the reaction channels will think. Interesting locations. I did feel that I may have seen it before.

Nope
Howdy! Well where do I begin? At the cinema to see the latest Jordan Peele film Nope. He is a genius. Written, produced and directed by him. A horror scifi. A family of horse wranglers living out in the middle of nowhere. They are often hired by Hollywood. I bet that the crew featured in scenes were actually crew members. OJ is the son played by Daniel Kaluyaa. Keke Palmer plays his annoying sister Emerald. Their dad Otis (Keith David) is in charge. Not sure what happened to the mum. Things fall out of sky. I liked the creepiness of the setting. People have been dissappearing. Michael Wincott was in Alien Resurrection. He plays a cinematographer. Brandon Perea is a handsome man, he plays tech guy Angel. Steven Yeun owns this theme park. His wife dressed like a Toy Story character. There is this story about an incident with a chimpanzee on the set of a sitcom. Nod to Planet Of The Apes. There is a cover of Mad in the office. Peele was a cast member of Mad TV. You will have seen Get Out, Us, Candyman. I will see what he comes out with next. There are aliens observing the humans. There are those audio and visual clues. Someone on YouTube will explain the meaning of the film. There were trailers for The Woman King, Smile, Prey For The Devil. Not many people in the theatre. Great acting and effects. Nice soundtrack. Need to read the back story of the black cowboy on a horse caught on film. I did think that the trailer might spoil things. Hopefully you check this out.
I have decided to cancel my Netflix account. Not much in terms of good content. So I decided to watch one last thing. A horror comedy called Day Shift. Stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Karla Souza, Meagan Good, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Peter Stormare. Set in the city of Los Angeles. Bud is a man that hunts vampires. He is trying to get enough money together to pay for his daughter's tuition. He is seperated from his wife Jocelyn who is hot. Somewhat useless in later scenes. There is the daughter Paige who is clever. Troy is a dealer of sorts that Bud deals with. You have Audrey posing as a real estate agent. She is practically a leader of these vampires. Another attractive woman. Then you also have the lovely Heather who just moved to the apartment block. There is a business called The Union. Shrouded in secrecy. Similar to R.i.p.d and Men In Black. So many hunters work here. Seth is a union rep assigned to monitor Bud. I did get Training Day vibes. Interesting take on the vampire. They are quick, flexible and can regenerate. Finding there are 5 types of vampire. Good soundtrack. There is a reference made to other vampire films. Chad Stahleski is the producer. He may have been involved with the stunt work. The violence is similar to John Wick. Clever action scenes. Interesting dialogue. Great work from everyone involved. You might like Night Teeth, Stake Land, From Dusk Till Dawn, Blade, Day Walkers, 30 Days Of Night, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Of course there are many more. I hadn't been overly bothered by Jamie Foxx. I have seen a few of his films from Booty Call, Collateral, Ray, Spider-man No Way Home, Amazing Spider-man 2, White House Down. Even saw a stand up special. Haven't seen much of Dave Franco. He was looking good in whatever clothes they put him in. Worth looking at the trivia and discussions once you have seen the film. See some reaction channels. Showing on Netflix now. Released in 2022.

It's all about family
I have watched a Finnish horror movie called Hatching. Noticed how attractive the people are in this town. There is a pretty gross scene which I won't go into. This ideal family living in the suburbs. There was a bird that had made it's way into the house. Later on the daughter Tinja finds an egg. She decides to keep it in her room. It hatches and there is a bird like human clone. She gives it the name Alli. They have a psychic connection. Sophia Heikkila, Siiri Solalinna. The young actress is good at gymnastics like her character. The mother is attractive. Overbearing, having an affair, vlogging. The dad does his own thing. The young brother seems to have a hatred for his sister. There has be some kind of metaphor regarding this story. You might also like The New Daughter.

What's your favourite scary movie?
Scream 5 released in 2022. Starring a mixed cast. New actors and some from previous films. Makes references to the horror genre, Wes Craven, the original film and toxic fans. No doubt this will trigger them. I didn't bother with the 4th film. I only saw parts of it. Great acting from all the cast. Neve and David looked for their age. You have suspicions of certain characters. The film hints that anyone could be a killer. People getting wounded yet somehow surviving. Set 25 years later. A teenage girl is the first to be attacked. Her sister has to return to the town. There is a family secret. Sidney, Gail and Dewey are contacted for help. Some creative kills. Good effects. The soundtrack is good. I believe this to be the final film. Starring: Melissa Barrera; Mason Gooding; Jenna Ortega; Jack Quaid; Marley Shelton; Courteney Cox; David Arquette; Neve Campbell.
Melissa Barrera
Jasmin Savoy Brown
Jack Champion
Henry Czerny
Mason Gooding
Liana Liberato
Dermot Mulroney
Devyn Nekoda
Jenna Ortega
Tony Revolori
Josh Segarra
Samara Weaving
Hayden Panettiere
Courteney Cox
Scream 6. A sequel within the franchise. I believe that they could have ended the story with the 5th film. I did hope that this was it. But apparently there was an end credits scene which I didn't stay for. Set in New York. You have returning characters. Some new ones too. The women are hot. I did wonder if Hayden had work done. Melissa and Jenny look hot. Nice running scene. The kills are creative and I wanted to see the heroes fight back. I watched this at the cinema. I will see it again on streaming sites. The film buff girl was annoying. How can someone that is attacked survive? From a line spoken by a character I understood who the villain was. Neve Campbell was meant to reprise her role but because of a pay dispute she walked away. From the trailer it looked like The Purge. More killers on the loose. From the opening scenes it offers something new. Must check trivia. Having a ghost/memory made it different. It is clever how it references the movie genre. Some of the gang are at college. There is a conspiracy theory blaming Sam for the killings. Good closing and opening music. Good acting and special effects. There will be those that are disappointed with the film. I liked it. I started to question some scenes. Others will too. Look at the reviews and trivia once you have seen the film.

Les Revenants
In an idyllic French Alpine village, a seemingly random collection of people find themselves in a state of confusion as they attempt to return to their homes. What they do not yet know is that they have been dead for several years, and no one is expecting them back. Buried secrets emerge as they grapple with this miraculous and sinister new reality, struggling to reintegrate with their families and past lovers. But it seems they are not the only ones back from the dead. Their arrival coincides with a series of gruesome murders that bear a chilling resemblance to the work of a serial killer from the past... Stars Anne Consigny, Frederic Pierrot, Clotilde Hesme.
I have started watching season 2 of Les Revenants aka The Returned. I watched season 1 many years ago on Channel 4. I may have started season 2 back then but did not finished. Had to see how it pans out. Essentially it is a French horror drama. Set in a small village. The deceased residents have returned. They don't realise that they are dead. Want to carry on with life as normal. Some found it hard to adapt. There are a variety of characters. There was some sex and nudity. It was a good show. A few main protagonists. A young boy that is quiet and creepy. There was a serial killer on the loose. A major confrontation between the residents. You might also like La Horde, District 9, Big Bug, L'Haine, Taxi.

I started watching Werewolves Within. A horror comedy which I saw a teaser clip of. I found the dialogue and acting cringe worthy so stopped at 1h21m59 seconds left. Set in some northern town. A new Ranger has been assigned his post. A monster lurks somewhere. But anyway this film is released by Signature. The filming location was interesting.
I started watching The Privilege. A German horror film. 1 m 28 m to go. As I will be up in the morning for gym. Some creature was pursuing the children in the house. The older sister is hysterical. I remember seeing the specific bridge in some show or movie. Fast forward to the college years. The son is getting therapy. His twin sister is hot. He is invited to a party. Later sees his Grandpa. Interesting location. I listened to the original audio with subtitles. There are weird beings lurking. The family is hiding a secret. Some pretty cast members notably Sophie and Samira. There is a moderate sex scene. Pills are being given to the teens. Maybe look at trivia. Techno soundtrack. Good cast of actors. Currently on Netflix. You get to see Finn the protagonist live his daily life. See him investigate into what has been going on. They are a middle class family living in luxury. Cast.

Video killed the...
I watched V/H/S/94. It is sequel. Part of the VHS series. All found footage. Indie amateur film. They are an anthology. Different film makers come together to produce a horror short. Some reason I felt that I had watched it before. It was released in 2021. Impressed with the special visual effects, acting, set design. All original stories. I recommend that you also see the previous films, also The ABCs Of Death, The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield. The found footage style hasn't been used in years. The main story involves a swat team going to a cult's hideout. Other stories involve a news report, an advert, these American survivalists, a mad scientist. Mixed reviews on Shudder.
I watched Rec 4: Apocalypse. A Spanish horror film. I recommend the other Rec and Quarantine films. You will have seen Resident Evil, World War Z, 28 Days Later. It was released in 2014. I wasn't sure if had seen it then. So rented it in 2022. A few people that were in the infected zones are now on board a large ship. Angela is the TV news reporter. You have some Swat/soldiers, the crew, the grandmother from a wedding and scientists. There is this great rock song that plays. Angela looks great. Very gory and violent. The virus was described as being demonic. An outbreak happens and the cast must do what they can to survive.
I finally took a dive and watched Malignant. The trailer doesn't reveal too much but as the film went on I was guessing the back story of the characters. Maddie is a woman living in Seattle. You even see the origins of the villain Gabriel. Maddie is in an abusive relationship. Has suffered miscarriages. She is pregnant and a house invasion happens. You have her actor sister that comes to visit. She has visions of when Gabriel attacks his victims. The detective Kekoa assigned to the case is a handsome man and I thought he would have chemistry with the sister Sydney. He is with his partner Regina. In one scene he is pretty bad ass. With the twists revealed later are kind of fucked up. The forensics, evidence woman seems to be obsessed with the detective. James Wan is a great film maker. You will have seen the Saw and Insidious films. Impressive effects. Good cast of actors. You might like the soundtrack. I like the opening theme music which is When your walls fall by Celldweller.
There are trivia on imdb to look at. With the discussions most likely focus on certain characters. What would happen after the end of the film? On YouTube as the trailer was clicked on, further below in the recommendations were videos about the ending. Stupid even to have it there. Annabelle Wallis stars. I have only seen a few things that she was in. From a scene in the film which shows the underground town beneath modern Seattle I am interested to find out more. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3811906/fullcredits/cast?ref_=m_ttfc_3
Countdown is a horror movie. I watched it on Netflix. It has been out for a few years. There is an app available for download on the app store. It is called Countdown. There user must obey the terms and conditions. It predicts when a person will die. Starts off with a group of friends at a party using the app. Our protagonist is a new nurse called Quinn. She downloaded it out of curiosity as some of these characters do. I also find that when there seems to be a threat you don't go towards it. Anyway she is given 3 days and she wants to prevent the inevitable. Impressive visual effects. I am reminded of Final Destination, The Ring, Happy Death Day, Truth Or Dare, Nerve, Candyman, Hellbound. It is a good film. I like the soundtrack. Elizabeth Lail is hot. You will recognise Matt Lescher. Surprised to see Tom Segura.

Quite a trip
I watched Synchronic. A scifi drama from the makers of The Endless. Starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan. Two paramedics working in the New Orleans. They have things going on at home. One is ill and the other has his marriage that has issues. The victims in each case have been taking a designer drug. The side effects leads them to time travel. Dennis's daughter Brianna goes missing and so Mackie's character Steve tries to figure out a way to get her back. Impressive special effects, acting and soundtrack. I like the concept. May need to see the science behind it. Check out the trivia and discussion. In one scene I spotted one the extras that is playing a corpse. He shifts his leg and moves his hand lower as Mackie passes. But it isn't a bad film. You should see The Endless, The Jacket, Chronical.
I decided to watch Willy's Wonderland. A horror comedy from Signature. Tongue in cheek, action packed. Starring Nicolas Cage as a man travelling through America. He is a passing a small town. His car breaks down. So whilst it is being repaired. He owes the mechanic money. He is hired by the theme park owner to pay off the debt by cleaning up the building. Meanwhile you have these animatronic puppets. The characters from the park come alive at night. Later on a back story is given. The Janitor barely says much. Not sure what the glance between him and Liv is about. Kathy is one of the friends. She is hot, liking the tits and ass. The other teens in the group know about the history of the park and want it destroyed. You have cgi, puppetry and stunt work in costumes. The Janitor is pretty bad ass. Cage is a great actor. Just because of the damn memes they don't take him seriously. Worth taking a look. Soundtrack is good. Reminded of a few films that I recommend: Five Nights At Freddy's, Cooties, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Gremlins, Westworld, Zombieland, Child's Play. Emily Tosta, Beth Grant and others star.
I watched Splinter again in a long while. It is an independent horror film. Starring Shea Whigham, Jill Wagner, Charles Baker, Paulo Costanzo, Rachel Kerbs, Laurel Whitsett.
Director Toby Wilkins
A young couple who are quite mismatched are on a camping trip. The boyfriend Seth is a PhD graduate and nerdy. His girlfriend Polly is hot, has a nice pair of tits. The have the unfortunate encounter with a convict Dennis and his girlfriend Lacey on the run from the law. They all are in the car. Meanwhile because of some experiment I believe there is this parasite. Infecting any host that is in it's way. Spikes come out of it. This is a good film. Quite gory. You might also like Slither, The Thing. Good soundtrack. Great acting and special effects.
Monster Hunter is an action scifi adventure film by Paul W. S. Anderson. Starring: Milla Jovovich; Tony Jaa; Clifford "T. I." Harris; Meagan Good; Diego Boneta; Josh Helman; Jin Au-Yeung; Ron Perlman.
I saw the trailer and noticed mixed reviews. Milla has been in a few good films. Not the greatest actor but does a good enough job. She plays a Ranger named Captain Artemis. Her team of military soldiers are on some mission in the desert. A storm is brewing nearby. They are sucked into a portal taking them to another world. They encounter monsters. Meanwhile on this planet is the Hunter and his people on a boat type vehicle when they are attacked. I like how some characters in films from different worlds have an understanding. At 38 mins I was about to fall asleep. I could have stopped watching. I had been working in the day. I did hope the military scenes would not be clichéd. The sort of thing Tropic Thunder would parody. Impressive creature designs. FX aren't bad. Plenty of action. I did think that this would be about an entire team. The soundtrack is electro, synthwave. Good cast of actors especially Tony Jaa. Milla looking good. T. I was in this despite some recent controversy. Some reason her character reminded me of Katherine Hepburn. You might also like Mad Max, Monsters, Godzilla, Love And Monsters, A Quiet Place, Dune, Stargate. There is some mid credits scene which doesn't make sense. Doubt there will be a sequel.
