Lost treasure

Harrison Ford · Indiana Jones
Phoebe Waller-Bridge · Helena
Antonio Banderas · Renaldo
Karen Allen · Marion
John Rhys-Davies · Sallah
Ethan Isidore - Teddy Kumar
Toby Jones - Basil Shaw
Shaunette Renee Wilson - Agent Mason
Boyd Holbrook - Klaber
Mads Mikkelsen - Jürgen Voller

Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny is the final instalment in the franchise. I grew up watching the previous films. I didn't watch Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull in full. The white supremacist neo nazi conservatives were already triggered by the interview and will be by this film. An action adventure. Pheobe did excellent. She was of the writers for No Time To Die and Fleabag. A few cast members have been involved with Star Wars and James Bond. The rightwingers don't like her. She is talented and attractive. You get to see action kick off nearing the end of World War 2. The spear of destiny is on being placed on board a train by the Nazis. They have gathered more treasure. Indy and Shaw are there to get what they can. Happen to run into trouble. I liked the action, stunt work and comedy. There is an artifact that is only one half of a larger piece. The user will have the ability to travel through time. Over in 1969 Indy has been teaching at a university and is due to retire. Helena needs Indy to help her get this treasure. She has her own motives. Voller is over in America and has a team. The US government did harbour some nazis after the war. They would work on projects. Great filming locations. You get to learn some things. This franchise did inspire Nation Treasure, Tomb Raider. You have the iconic theme. Indy is a pensioner and he is pretty active. References to older films. Bringing back legacy characters. You might like Timeline, Timeless and Outlander. Thinking of the ending I would have liked it to go one way. Shia Lebouf's character died during a war. Spielberg and Lucas were involved with the film. Classic Indiana Jones adventure. There is the TV series Young Indiana worth looking into. See the trivia on Imdb. I did see a continuity error. Helena holds these cards up to Indy. It changes and the camera pans to something else and then back on the cards.

Let me in

Prey For The Devil starring Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Lisa Palfrey, Nicholas Ralph, Ben Cross, Virginia Madsen. A horror movie about demonic possession. It has mixed reviews on imdb. The actress playing Sister Ann is hot. Anyway there are flashbacks to her childhood living with an abusive mother that may have been possessed. Now a grown woman she is at a convent. Transfers to a college operated by The Vatican. Set in Boston. Women aren't allowed to be exorcists. You will recognise the actor playing Father Quinn. He is teaching these priests. He allows Ann to join his lectures. She makes a few friends, one being Dante. There is a psychologist Dr Peters, the actress you will recognise. She gives scientific reasoning for the cases. There is a young girl named Natalie who is possessed. A demon has a connection with Ann regarding her mother. Ann has to fight the forces of darkness. Good jump scares. Often these supernatural films become predictable. Good special effects and acting. You might like The Exorcist, The Last Exorcism, The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, The Possession Of Hannah Grace.

The Devil Conspiracy. I had felt that I had already seen this before. A horror thriller. Independent film. Mixed reviews as expected. Alice Orr-Ewing, Joe Doyle, Eveline Hall, Peter Mensah, Joe Anderson, Spencer Wilding, Brian Caspe and James Faulkner. Interesting story. Good visuals. Starting off with these portals or wormholes. One from Heaven and other to Hell. Lucifer is cast down. You see Michael arrive to chain him up. Modern day Italy. Laura is an artist though might have other projects going on. Marconi is a priest that has given her access. Meanwhile there is this company that can engineer clones of the most influential people in history. There are people funding this. Liz is a demonic woman. Working with other Satanists. They want to resurrect Lucifer. The Shroud Of Turin is stolen. Christ's DNA will be used. I did wonder how they weren't suspicious of a woman in a cloak. Michael must get the stolen item and thwart their plans. Good soundtrack. Unknown actors but did a good job. You might have seen Legion, Constantine, End Of Days, Prey For The Devil, Supernatural, Lucifer.

A long time ago

I watched the scifi film 65. Starring Adam Driver as Mills, Ariana Greenblatt as Koa, Chloe Coleman as Nevine, Nika King as Alya and Brian Dare as Zoic Computer Voice. It has mixed reviews. Produced by Sam Raimi and written by the people behind A Quiet Place. I took this as some sort of time travel film. It has a nice soundtrack, good effects and acting. You might also like Chronical 2067, High Life, Love And Monsters, Prospect, Outlander, La Brea, Jurassic Park, After Earth. A pilot named Mills is sent on a two year mission taking him away from his wife and ill daughter. He is returning to the planet Somaris. He has a few people on board, all in chyogenic chambers. There is a meteor shower that forces the ship to land on Earth 65 millions ago. One of the survivors is Koa, a young girl. There is a language barrier. There are plenty of dinosaurs roaming around. He has to get to the escape pod. It is a race against time as another meteor is going make an impact. Worth taking a look. I am going to look at trivia and discussion on the back story.

This sci-fi film called Outlander. I have seen it before. Cast: Jim Caviezel, Sophia Myles, Jack Huston, Ron Perlman, John Hurt. During the time period the Vikings were alive. A man from outer space crash lands on Earth. Meanwhile there is a monster on the loose. If you like Predator, 65, Alien then this is for you. Regarding the special effects take it with a pinch of salt. Good soundtrack. Worth reading Imdb trivia. There is a interesting scene using shields. I have read these Stephen Baxter books. The Vikings are at war with another village. They were suspicious our visitor. Interesting dialogue.

An action comedy thriller. Set in Japan. The Father is a young man that wants to find the person responsible for causing his son harm. The Elder is also family. He is seeking revenge. Ladybug gets set on a mission to retrieve a suitcase, he is guided by Maria who has a sexy voice. Two Brits named Tangerine and Lemon are with the client's son. They have possession of the suitcase. The Prince might look sweet and innocent, very pretty too but has an agenda. The White Death is a Russian that worked for the Yakuza. The Wolf had a wedding where the family was killed and so has arrived. The Hornet has been secretly causing mayhem. There are cameos. Good humour and fight scenes. Clever dialogue. Impressive soundtrack. All the actors are good. Thought of Scott Pilgrim and Kick-Ass the way it is edited and how the words appear on the screen. You may already have seen James Bond, Jason Bourne, John Wick, Seven Psychopaths, In Bruges, Haywire, Hitman, Die Hard, The Commuter, The Equalizer, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, Transporter, Kill Bill. Based on a novel. Grasshopper is a film connected to the story. Worth checking out.

Goodbye Mr Wick

Keanu Reeves · Laurence Fishburne · George Georgiou · Lance Reddick · Clancy Brown · Ian McShane · Marko Zaror · Bill Skarsgård - Hiroyuki Sanada - Shamier Anderson - Donnie Yen - Rina Sawayama.
John Wick Chapter 4 from Lionsgate. The final film. Action Thriller. Saw this at the cinema.
John is still on the run. He has his sights on The High Table. They have sent The Harbinger. Closing down operations at the hotel. Putting Winston and Charon out of a job. The Marquis has arrived. He wants Wick dead. Caine has been hired to kill John. There is a Tracker that wants the money and offers his services. Plenty of action. With one scene you could see the choreography and stunt work it was obvious. Misfires and how characters are not dead. Some bad guys had been suited with body armour. There is a scene later on which is impressive due to how creative the kills were. The card game scene was good. The boss has good moves on him. John has enlisted the help of old friends. Impressive cinematography. Nice soundtrack. Lance Reddick has only just passed away. Great acting and special effects. There is a post credits scene. There is talk of spin offs. There will be trivia to look at. Some questions are being asked. Worth taking a look. The whole series was good. Eva Longoria was a producer and backer for the first film. I had seen her at a shift that I worked at.
I did find the view obscured from this blonde sitting in the front. A bit of chatter from the side.

Chaos

I am rewatching The Butterfly Effect trilogy. The first one released in 2004. Starring Ashton Kutcher, Melora Walters, Amy Smart, Elden Henson, William Lee Scott. It is a scifi drama. Kutcher's best work. It focuses on abuse. Good soundtrack. I like the editing and acting. You may have seen The Time Traveller's Wife, The Time Machine, Quantum Leap, Back To The Future, About Time, Donnie Darko, Timeline, Timeless. This has a love story at the centre of it. The time travel aspect will attract most. Chaos Theory is where you could change one thing and a random chain of events can occur. Evan is a young man that had been having blackouts as a child. He starts a journal. Upon reading an entry he will be transported back that year in his own body. He tries to see what he can do to make things better. Altering the course of history. Worth taking a look at all of the films. Eric Stoltz was originally in Back To The Future. However this is the time travel film that he gets to be in.

The Butterfly Effect 2
With the second film you have Nick, an employee of a tech company. Having to deal with potential investors. He is with his girlfriend and two friends. Having a picnic. A car accident happens. Nick can travel through time by focusing on photographs. The actresses have nice breasts. The sex scenes are unnecessary. It acknowledged the first film. I do question as to how all the characters from the trilogy are connected. Why they can time travel. Eric Lively, Erica Durance, Dustin Milligan, Gina Holden, David Lewis. Good soundtrack. I wonder why they bothered with sequels.

The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations. Chris Carmack, Rachel Miner, Melissa Jones, Kevin Yon, Lynch R. Travis. Sam is a psychic working for the police. His method of time travel is different. No longer having nosebleeds or headaches. His sister Jenna has an apartment. His girlfriend was murdered. Her hot sister had come to visit. She believed the man on death row to be innocent. Interesting soundtrack. Nice rack on the barmaid.
A few pretty actresses. Goldburg is a guide/friend to Sam. Only he and Jenna know about the time jumps. Having already seen this film I view it differently. Good actors. There is a continuity error near end. The shoe is off the foot. Back on and off again.

Black Cinema

Hollywood Shuffle is an eighties film. A satirical parody. All about Black actors in Hollywood. Written, directed by and starring Robert Townsend. I had seen this film on the Just Summ Reactions channel and decided to take a look. I would have stopped watching but stuck with it. The issues raised are still relevant today. Two of the Wayans brothers are involved with the film. Bobby is a young aspiring actor. Living at home with mum, gran and brother. He has a part time job at a food place. His girlfriend is a hairdresser. Some of the language might offend. There is a film that Bobby will audition for. Some stereotypes are challenged. Some fantasy scenes. The cast get to play multiple characters. Good actors. You will recognise some people. You might also like I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Bamboozled, Get Out, Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood, Undercover Brother. I recommend Primm's Hood Cinema as he is an all star.

Robert Townsend · Bobby Taylor ; Craigus R. Johnson · Stevie Taylor ; Helen Martin · Bobby's Grandmother ; Starletta DuPois · Bobby's Mother

Golden ticket

Last Action Hero starring Arnold Schwarzenegger · F. Murray Abraham · Art Carney · Charles Dance · Frank McRae · Tom Noonan · Robert Prosky · Anthony Quinn - Austin O'Brien. Screenplay was by Shane Black. A 90s action comedy. Parody, a satirical take on Hollywood. So many easter eggs. Danny is a young boy living in New York with his mother. It is a rough neighbourhood. He often goes to this rundown cinema. Nick is the projector operator. He has a magic golden ticket given to him by Houdini. Danny would be based on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. In the movie world is Jack Slater who is based on many action film characters. Shoots bad guys, blows things up and smokes a cigar. References are made to the films that were released around the time. There is a villain named Benedict who is working for a mob boss. I would say he was based on The Man With The Golden Gun. The police chief was definitely inspired by Beverly Hills Cop. There are many cameos. Check out the trivia on Imdb. I had been looking at reaction channels. I have seen the film before. The actor that played Cane in Robocop 2 is playing an axe murderer called Ripper. The acting is good. Charles Dance is always superb. Over the top stunts and effects. Plenty of hot women, Bobbie Brown is the one in the video store. I like the soundtrack. I did think that with the theme playing during the villain scenes it has a few notes of The Sound Of Silence. I did wonder about the women in bdsm costumes. Arnie does laugh at himself. Shane worked with him on Predator. This was out in 1993. Anyway I will thank you for visiting this page. Feel free to look around.

Enjoy your stay

I have watched Barbarian. A horror movie. Set in Detroit. Tess is a young woman coming over for a job interview. She has rented an Air B&B. But it is double booked. Keith is a man that she wonders if she can trust. He is also staying there. Something is lurking in the dark. You have AJ, an actor that is being investigated for sexual assault. He gets to the city. There is a flashback to Frank that resided in this city. The area looks run down. I would have to look at the back story. From the title I assumed what type of threat would be there. I did end up thinking if there was any point to this film. You might like The Woman.
Georgina Campbell · Tess ; Bill Skarsgård · Keith ; Justin Long · AJ ; Matthew Patrick Davis · The Mother ; Richard Brake · Frank.

Eat the rich

The Menu is a horror comedy. A satirical take on the food industry. I have worked in catering and hospitality. It can be seen as pretentious. The extras will have been professional chefs. They did an excellent job. As this is a film and you have these actors. I did work vip events.
Ralph Fiennes as Chef Slowik
Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot
Nicholas Hoult as Tyler
Hong Chau as Elsa
Janet McTeer as Lillian
Paul Adelstein as Ted
John Leguizamo as "movie star"
Aimee Carrero as Felicity
Reed Birney as Richard
Judith Light as Anne
Rebecca Koon as Linda
Rob Yang as Bryce
Arturo Castro as Soren
Mark St. Cyr as Dave
Peter Grosz as "sommelier"
Christina Brucato as Katherine
Adam Aalderks as Jeremy
Matthew Cornwell as Dale

You do wonder what is going to happen. The guests arrive on an island to dine at a fine restaurant. Chef Slowik is in charge. He has everything running like clockwork. Intelligent dialogue. Philosophical. There are metaphors worth looking in to. A great cast of actors. I was using Bluetooth headphones and maybe it seemed out of sync. Hard to get hear what was being said at the beginning. Many guests talking over each other. Some characters were annoying. I would need to look at the back story. I do recommend Old and Fantasy Island. Amongst the guests are business men, an actor, food critics. Most of the action is taking place in the restaurant. You get the description of the food. I saw it on Disney+ but it will be available on all platforms. I do like the design. See the trivia and discussions. Plenty of people have watched Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen, Michel Roux's Service, Great British Bake Off. They may enjoy this film. Surprises are in store for the guests and audience. I thought it would end a certain way. The cast will be well fed. Ralph having played scary characters like the Chef, Voldemort, Francis Dolarhyde. I did get a feeling about how two characters were connected. They acknowledged Covid. The Chef talks about the food with each course. Elsa keeps an eye on the guests. Margot is one of the main characters. On her date with Tyler who is a foodie. Anya is stunning. You will recognise some faces. Worth having a butchers. Compliments to the chef. Eat the rich.

The Banshees Of Inisherin. Colin Farrell · Pádraic Súilleabháin ; Brendan Gleeson · Colm Doherty ; Kerry Condon · Siobhán Súilleabháin ; Barry Keoghan - Dominic. A comedy drama set on an island just off the coast of Ireland. It is 1923. There is a civil war happening on the mainland. What I first noticed was the amazing scenery thanks to the cinematography. Interesting location. I believe that tourists will flock there. This film will win awards. Nice soundtrack consisting of classical and folk music. Great cast of actors. The way they riff off each other. The accent is strong. You do feel for the characters. Colin had the standout performance. I had watched Calvary which starred Brendan. That's why I decided to see this. You will also be familiar with Ballykissangel and Father Ted. I have always wanted to visit Ireland. Go to a village. There is minimal special effects. Kerry is attractive. Pádraic is a farmer, a nice guy and lives with his sister Siobhán. She is smart and caring. He has a friend named Colm that is a musician. But one day Colm has decided that he no longer wants to be friends. I know the feeling as I haven't had any contact with a few people. He is a miserable bugger. He does warn him to stay away. Pádraic is relentless and annoys him. There is the local police officer who is pretty shady, he has a son named Dominic who is a trouble maker. I have had thoughts about the mysterious Mrs McCormick. An elderly woman that is always present in certain places. What does she represent? There was some foreshadowing and so I predicted correctly what would happen to one character. Was there more to the friendship than was let on? I like the pub. Great landlord. Sweet, quaint. I did think about how the film ended. Maybe it could have been better. But overall it is a good film. There will be trivia and discussions. Showing on Disney Plus but will be available elsewhere.

In Bruges is a comedy drama by Martin McDonagh. This was his debut. You will like Calvary and The Banshees Of Inisherin. Some of the dialogue will offend. Two hitman have been sent by their boss to Bruges. Call it a holiday/getaway. Colin Farrell and Dominic Gleeson are together in this film as they would be later on in another film. Ralph Feinnes looking handsome and in shape. Plays another villain. The women featured are pretty especially Marie, Chloe and the prostitutes. Ken is mature, has been working for a long time, he likes the scenery. You might too. I am sure tourism was at a high since the film was released. Ray is young, gets bored easily, loves the women and hates this city. Harry is a terrifying man and a cunt. He is keeping tabs on the lads. Marie owns the hotel the lads are staying at. Chloe works on a film set. Jimmy is an actor, a dwarf and remember him from the trailer. Interesting cinematography. Good soundtrack. There is plenty of violence, gore, drug use and swearing. I am interested to see what the next film will be like. All great actors from the main cast to the extras. There will be trivia and discussions about the film. Worth checking out once you have seen this film. I try not to include too much as it will spoil the film. Similar films would be Seven Psychopaths, Bullet Train, John Wick. Anyway if you want to find anything that I have done then look for Solitarymaninblack.

Pride

I watched They/Them. A 2022 horror movie. Released by Blumhouse. Written and directed by John Logan. Kevin Bacon is Executive Producer and star. The low ratings on Imdb and Rotten Tomatoes will be from the antisjw conservatives. This is a good film. Great cast of actors. I liked the dialogue. It is satirical. You get to see the viewpoints of various characters. A group of lgbt young people arrive at a Christian summer camp. Meanwhile there is a serial killer on the loose. Has it's comedic moments. Nice soundtrack. The character Gabriel reminded me of Ellen Page. Worth seeing what the young cast have been doing before. You may also have seen Midsommar, Don't Worry Darling, The Hunt, Get Out. There is sex and nudity. I recommend that you see this. I watched it on a free website which has the pop ups. My Bluetooth headphones needed charging.

BEatingU

I watched Jeepers Creepers Reborn. I saw this reaction highlight video from StruggleNation. They seem to think negatively of the film. So that kind of tainted my view when watching the film. Starting off this old couple travelling on the road. Looking at the car scenes the cgi special effects were obvious. Even further on when they are outdoors. I have seen plenty of indie horror films. Not sure if it was the script, the actors or something else. You get the interracial couple as it has been pointed out, black male and white female. Laine is travelling in the car with her annoying boyfriend. They are going to a convention. This film is in the long line of teen horror flicks. I was wondering about the visions that Laine has. Meanwhile there is a cult operating in this town. Maybe doing a deal with the monster. The Creeper looks different. I prefer the original design. He has come out of hibernation to hunt. A raffle competition has been thrown and the lucky person gets to go to a haunted house. Laine is attractive. Nice tits. The Asian girl is nice too. Sydney Craven, Gary Graham, Ocean Navarro, Gabriel Freilich, Peter Brooke. They are supposed to be making this a trilogy. I am not sure if it will happen. There was negativity in the comments section of the trailer. Some muppet probably used "woke" and "diversity". I am trying to figure out the end. Anyway I was hoping that it would be over. The fourth film with the original actress should have been made. Maybe get an origin story of The Creeper. They did reference the trilogy. What was it with the stereotypical gay character? The way the boyfriend threw his food away after just having bought it to play a game. I would have like more violence and gore. Nice end credits song. I saw this on one of those free sites. Pop up ads and buffering. It is officially on Amazon Prime. Check out trivia and discussion threads. You might see the reviews. CD Universe - Buy New Release DVDs, TV on DVD, Music Videos and Much More I have watched the modern rebooted Hellraiser. Based on the novel by Clive Barker. I do recommend that you watch the original film series. Starting off with a millionaire obtaining the cursed puzzle box. Six years later you have our protagonist Riley, an ex junkie. She has a boyfriend. She lives with her brother, his boyfriend and roommate. She does steal the box from the millionaire. Eventually she would try and research what the box is about. Impressive special effects. The Cenobites are beings from another dimension. They were probably seen as demons. What if they are aliens. Whenever the box has been activated they come to collect. There are gifts that can be given to the user. Good soundtrack. Not sure if there will be a sequel. It is a good film. The trailer was impressive. I will look at discussions and trivia. Good cast of actors. There will be mixed reviews.

I am watching V/H/S/99 on Shudder. A horror anthology. I recommend that you see the previous films. Nice touch of nostalgia. Costumes, music, visual effects on point. Opening with this lad playing toy soldiers. Next there is a teenage punk band who want to investigate a location where a famous band died. You see how the members are insensitive towards their drummer. Somewhat predictable. The next scene is this pretty brunette who looks like Billie Eilish. It was predictable. A hazing ceremony. The game show was obscure and funny. Great acting. Nice tits. Annoying characters, a Gollum impression. Steven Ogg is in this. See Imdb for cast. There are more stories. I will let you find out. Imagine what the reaction channels will think. Interesting locations. I did feel that I may have seen it before.

Nope

Howdy! Well where do I begin? At the cinema to see the latest Jordan Peele film Nope. He is a genius. Written, produced and directed by him. A horror scifi. A family of horse wranglers living out in the middle of nowhere. They are often hired by Hollywood. I bet that the crew featured in scenes were actually crew members. OJ is the son played by Daniel Kaluyaa. Keke Palmer plays his annoying sister Emerald. Their dad Otis (Keith David) is in charge. Not sure what happened to the mum. Things fall out of sky. I liked the creepiness of the setting. People have been dissappearing. Michael Wincott was in Alien Resurrection. He plays a cinematographer. Brandon Perea is a handsome man, he plays tech guy Angel. Steven Yeun owns this theme park. His wife dressed like a Toy Story character. There is this story about an incident with a chimpanzee on the set of a sitcom. Nod to Planet Of The Apes. There is a cover of Mad in the office. Peele was a cast member of Mad TV. You will have seen Get Out, Us, Candyman. I will see what he comes out with next. There are aliens observing the humans. There are those audio and visual clues. Someone on YouTube will explain the meaning of the film. There were trailers for The Woman King, Smile, Prey For The Devil. Not many people in the theatre. Great acting and effects. Nice soundtrack. Need to read the back story of the black cowboy on a horse caught on film. I did think that the trailer might spoil things. Hopefully you check this out.

I have decided to cancel my Netflix account. Not much in terms of good content. So I decided to watch one last thing. A horror comedy called Day Shift. Stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Karla Souza, Meagan Good, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Peter Stormare. Set in the city of Los Angeles. Bud is a man that hunts vampires. He is trying to get enough money together to pay for his daughter's tuition. He is seperated from his wife Jocelyn who is hot. Somewhat useless in later scenes. There is the daughter Paige who is clever. Troy is a dealer of sorts that Bud deals with. You have Audrey posing as a real estate agent. She is practically a leader of these vampires. Another attractive woman. Then you also have the lovely Heather who just moved to the apartment block. There is a business called The Union. Shrouded in secrecy. Similar to R.i.p.d and Men In Black. So many hunters work here. Seth is a union rep assigned to monitor Bud. I did get Training Day vibes. Interesting take on the vampire. They are quick, flexible and can regenerate. Finding there are 5 types of vampire. Good soundtrack. There is a reference made to other vampire films. Chad Stahleski is the producer. He may have been involved with the stunt work. The violence is similar to John Wick. Clever action scenes. Interesting dialogue. Great work from everyone involved. You might like Night Teeth, Stake Land, From Dusk Till Dawn, Blade, Day Walkers, 30 Days Of Night, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Of course there are many more. I hadn't been overly bothered by Jamie Foxx. I have seen a few of his films from Booty Call, Collateral, Ray, Spider-man No Way Home, Amazing Spider-man 2, White House Down. Even saw a stand up special. Haven't seen much of Dave Franco. He was looking good in whatever clothes they put him in. Worth looking at the trivia and discussions once you have seen the film. See some reaction channels. Showing on Netflix now. Released in 2022.

Kill or be killed

I have watched Prey on Disney Plus. First of all the white supremacist colonizers were triggered. Fuck their feelings. It is not all about you. Amber Midthunder · Naru ; Dakota Beavers · Taabe ; Dane DiLiegro · Predator ; Stormee Kipp · Wasape ; Michelle Thrush · Aruka. This is a scifi horror. A prequel in the Predator series. Set in 1719 in America. The Comanche Nation are indigenous people. Living their lives. The pilgrims aka Europeans would not be far off. The protagonist Naru wants to be treated as an equal. She is a skilled fighter and hunter. There is a rite of passage, a hunt taking place. She must deal with the patriarchy. A lone Predator has landed. He is there for sport. Interesting in how it appears. Resembles more Native American. The weapons matching closer to this century than like that of the other films. Nice special effects. It shows you what the Predator gets up to if no humans are around. Whatever the creature everything is being hunted. Be interested to see the youtube reactions. You have the French men also looking to hunt. Not sure why it wasn't in the cinema. Nice soundtrack. A new version of the main theme. Great cinematography. The director was involved with 10 Cloverfield Lane. You might also like The Revenant. Good action scenes. I like strong female characters. There are references to the other films. Worth taking a look.

It's all about family

I have watched a Finnish horror movie called Hatching. Noticed how attractive the people are in this town. There is a pretty gross scene which I won't go into. This ideal family living in the suburbs. There was a bird that had made it's way into the house. Later on the daughter Tinja finds an egg. She decides to keep it in her room. It hatches and there is a bird like human clone. She gives it the name Alli. They have a psychic connection. Sophia Heikkila, Siiri Solalinna. The young actress is good at gymnastics like her character. The mother is attractive. Overbearing, having an affair, vlogging. The dad does his own thing. The young brother seems to have a hatred for his sister. There has be some kind of metaphor regarding this story. You might also like The New Daughter.

Monday, 21 February 2022

I started watching Werewolves Within. A horror comedy which I saw a teaser clip of. I found the dialogue and acting cringe worthy so stopped at 1h21m59 seconds left. Set in some northern town. A new Ranger has been assigned his post. A monster lurks somewhere. But anyway this film is released by Signature. The filming location was interesting.

I started watching The Privilege. A German horror film. 1 m 28 m to go. As I will be up in the morning for gym. Some creature was pursuing the children in the house. The older sister is hysterical. I remember seeing the specific bridge in some show or movie. Fast forward to the college years. The son is getting therapy. His twin sister is hot. He is invited to a party. Later sees his Grandpa. Interesting location. I listened to the original audio with subtitles. There are weird beings lurking. The family is hiding a secret. Some pretty cast members notably Sophie and Samira. There is a moderate sex scene. Pills are being given to the teens. Maybe look at trivia. Techno soundtrack. Good cast of actors. Currently on Netflix. You get to see Finn the protagonist live his daily life. See him investigate into what has been going on. They are a middle class family living in luxury. Cast.

French Dispatch

I started watching The French Dispatch Of The Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun. As it has been a long day I stopped midway. A Wes Anderson film. Slow paced. Comedy drama. Quite surreal. A star studded cast. I stopped watching again. The cinematography is good. I do try to work out what is going on. The narrator spoke about this newspaper company. Acts like an anthology. Each story is by a different journalist. The aspect ratio is different. Some pretty women. Nice tits on show. It is mainly in black and white. Some colour scenes. Set in 1920s to 70s. There is a prisoner that is an artist. The one woman working here is his muse. The art dealer has shown great interest in him. There are humorous moments. Each scene or camera shot looks like a fine art painting. Some shots where the people are frozen in position. Lingering looks towards the camera. To the people that don't know his work it will be confusing and boring. It is on Disneyplus. I may look at reviews and discussions if I can be bothered. Some cast members have returned to work with Wes. Another chapter has a journalist following a youth activist movement. Then you have a TV interview with a food critic. Events take place in a fictional French city. The soundtrack is nice. Clever dialogue. Wes is definitely an artist. I had seen Adrien Brody at a shift that I worked at in 2011. Quite a trip

I watched Synchronic. A scifi drama from the makers of The Endless. Starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan. Two paramedics working in the New Orleans. They have things going on at home. One is ill and the other has his marriage that has issues. The victims in each case have been taking a designer drug. The side effects leads them to time travel. Dennis's daughter Brianna goes missing and so Mackie's character Steve tries to figure out a way to get her back. Impressive special effects, acting and soundtrack. I like the concept. May need to see the science behind it. Check out the trivia and discussion. In one scene I spotted one the extras that is playing a corpse. He shifts his leg and moves his hand lower as Mackie passes. But it isn't a bad film. You should see The Endless, The Jacket, Chronical.

I decided to watch Willy's Wonderland. A horror comedy from Signature. Tongue in cheek, action packed. Starring Nicolas Cage as a man travelling through America. He is a passing a small town. His car breaks down. So whilst it is being repaired. He owes the mechanic money. He is hired by the theme park owner to pay off the debt by cleaning up the building. Meanwhile you have these animatronic puppets. The characters from the park come alive at night. Later on a back story is given. The Janitor barely says much. Not sure what the glance between him and Liv is about. Kathy is one of the friends. She is hot, liking the tits and ass. The other teens in the group know about the history of the park and want it destroyed. You have cgi, puppetry and stunt work in costumes. The Janitor is pretty bad ass. Cage is a great actor. Just because of the damn memes they don't take him seriously. Worth taking a look. Soundtrack is good. Reminded of a few films that I recommend: Five Nights At Freddy's, Cooties, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Gremlins, Westworld, Zombieland, Child's Play. Emily Tosta, Beth Grant and others star.

I watched Splinter again in a long while. It is an independent horror film. Starring Shea Whigham, Jill Wagner, Charles Baker, Paulo Costanzo, Rachel Kerbs, Laurel Whitsett.
Director Toby Wilkins
A young couple who are quite mismatched are on a camping trip. The boyfriend Seth is a PhD graduate and nerdy. His girlfriend Polly is hot, has a nice pair of tits. The have the unfortunate encounter with a convict Dennis and his girlfriend Lacey on the run from the law. They all are in the car. Meanwhile because of some experiment I believe there is this parasite. Infecting any host that is in it's way. Spikes come out of it. This is a good film. Quite gory. You might also like Slither, The Thing. Good soundtrack. Great acting and special effects.

Monster Hunter is an action scifi adventure film by Paul W. S. Anderson. Starring: Milla Jovovich; Tony Jaa; Clifford "T. I." Harris; Meagan Good; Diego Boneta; Josh Helman; Jin Au-Yeung; Ron Perlman.
I saw the trailer and noticed mixed reviews. Milla has been in a few good films. Not the greatest actor but does a good enough job. She plays a Ranger named Captain Artemis. Her team of military soldiers are on some mission in the desert. A storm is brewing nearby. They are sucked into a portal taking them to another world. They encounter monsters. Meanwhile on this planet is the Hunter and his people on a boat type vehicle when they are attacked. I like how some characters in films from different worlds have an understanding. At 38 mins I was about to fall asleep. I could have stopped watching. I had been working in the day. I did hope the military scenes would not be clichéd. The sort of thing Tropic Thunder would parody. Impressive creature designs. FX aren't bad. Plenty of action. I did think that this would be about an entire team. The soundtrack is electro, synthwave. Good cast of actors especially Tony Jaa. Milla looking good. T. I was in this despite some recent controversy. Some reason her character reminded me of Katherine Hepburn. You might also like Mad Max, Monsters, Godzilla, Love  And Monsters, A Quiet Place, Dune, Stargate. There is some mid credits scene which doesn't make sense. Doubt there will be a sequel.

Evil Resident

I watched Resident Evil: Welcome To Racoon City. Based on the Capcom game franchise. The Umbrella Corporation had been doing experiments. A T-virus is created and an outbreak happens. This made reference to the games. A few of the characters are featured as well as the location. This is an origin story. I have played the games and watched the Anderson films from years ago. You get flashback moments from Claire and Chris Redfield. Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker, Leon Kennedy are at the precinct. Sent on a mission to go the mansion. Claire had come back because of conspiracy theories she believes in. Also see her brother that was on the mission. You have the scientist running the experiments. He and his family have to evacuate. Many of the citizens are infected. I imagine how it looks if Blumhouse made this film. You will recognise the actors. I had seen a Double Toasted video where they mentioned this film. Negative reviews were given so that tainted my view of the film. The special effects could be improved. The soundtrack is something else. Creepy film. Some predictable moments. I doubt that there will be a sequel. Leon could be useless at times. You might have seen The Crazies, 28 Days Later, World War Z, Silent Hill. Go in with an open mind. Avoid the reviews.

I watched Odd Thomas. I thought that I may have seen it before. A horror drama. Director: Stephen Sommers. Starring: Anton Yelchin; Willem Dafoe; Addison Timlin; Nico Tortorella
Adapted from: Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz
Music by: John Swihart.
Odd works as a cook in a cafe. He has special abilities. He can see dead people. They often need his help. He spots these demons called Bodaks. They linger around potential victims. They seem to be interested in a man labelled Fungus Guy. He is shown a vision where people have been massacred. His girlfriend Stormy is hot. As is Viola, a friend of his. Also this blonde character looks hot. Nice slow motion scene. Nice tits and ass. There is the local police chief that knows his secret and they do work together to take down bad guys. The special effects can be a bit sketchy. Anton is a great actor. You might also see him Thoroughbreds, Star Trek, Fright Night. Also see Grimm, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, The Sixth Sense, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Constantine, Supernatural. There are heartfelt moments. The soundtrack is good. In one scene he goes up against a bigger guy and I think that he would not really be able to hurt him. There is the Love Antosha documentary. These films hit different especially after his death. Worth taking a look. Rip Anton.

I started to watch Resident Evil TV series on Netflix. Must have watched 20 mins. Skipped ahead and then gave up. Some people are giving it negative reviews. That it is like a CW show or that the Weskers are black. The same old fragile shit. Jade was running experiments in London. She has a husband and daughter at home. The zombies move more like 28 Days Later. I liked the Anderson films and the recent film that was out this year. Young Jade seems to be an asshole. But she is right about South Africa. The colonizers will be triggered. I think the woke phrase was used by one of these cunts. The soundtrack is good though.
