I have decided to cancel my Netflix account. Not much in terms of good content. So I decided to watch one last thing. A horror comedy called Day Shift. Stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Karla Souza, Meagan Good, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Peter Stormare. Set in the city of Los Angeles. Bud is a man that hunts vampires. He is trying to get enough money together to pay for his daughter's tuition. He is seperated from his wife Jocelyn who is hot. Somewhat useless in later scenes. There is the daughter Paige who is clever. Troy is a dealer of sorts that Bud deals with. You have Audrey posing as a real estate agent. She is practically a leader of these vampires. Another attractive woman. Then you also have the lovely Heather who just moved to the apartment block. There is a business called The Union. Shrouded in secrecy. Similar to R.i.p.d and Men In Black. So many hunters work here. Seth is a union rep assigned to monitor Bud. I did get Training Day vibes. Interesting take on the vampire. They are quick, flexible and can regenerate. Finding there are 5 types of vampire. Good soundtrack. There is a reference made to other vampire films. Chad Stahleski is the producer. He may have been involved with the stunt work. The violence is similar to John Wick. Clever action scenes. Interesting dialogue. Great work from everyone involved. You might like Night Teeth, Stake Land, From Dusk Till Dawn, Blade, Day Walkers, 30 Days Of Night, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Of course there are many more. I hadn't been overly bothered by Jamie Foxx. I have seen a few of his films from Booty Call, Collateral, Ray, Spider-man No Way Home, Amazing Spider-man 2, White House Down. Even saw a stand up special. Haven't seen much of Dave Franco. He was looking good in whatever clothes they put him in. Worth looking at the trivia and discussions once you have seen the film. See some reaction channels. Showing on Netflix now. Released in 2022.

Nope
Howdy! Well where do I begin? At the cinema to see the latest Jordan Peele film Nope. He is a genius. Written, produced and directed by him. A horror scifi. A family of horse wranglers living out in the middle of nowhere. They are often hired by Hollywood. I bet that the crew featured in scenes were actually crew members. OJ is the son played by Daniel Kaluyaa. Keke Palmer plays his annoying sister Emerald. Their dad Otis (Keith David) is in charge. Not sure what happened to the mum. Things fall out of sky. I liked the creepiness of the setting. People have been dissappearing. Michael Wincott was in Alien Resurrection. He plays a cinematographer. Brandon Perea is a handsome man, he plays tech guy Angel. Steven Yeun owns this theme park. His wife dressed like a Toy Story character. There is this story about an incident with a chimpanzee on the set of a sitcom. Nod to Planet Of The Apes. There is a cover of Mad in the office. Peele was a cast member of Mad TV. You will have seen Get Out, Us, Candyman. I will see what he comes out with next. There are aliens observing the humans. There are those audio and visual clues. Someone on YouTube will explain the meaning of the film. There were trailers for The Woman King, Smile, Prey For The Devil. Not many people in the theatre. Great acting and effects. Nice soundtrack. Need to read the back story of the black cowboy on a horse caught on film. I did think that the trailer might spoil things. Hopefully you check this out.
