Go apeshit

I watched War For The Planet Of The Apes and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. Part of a trilogy directed by Matt Reeves. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is the first film. Great acting and effects. Nice soundtrack. I liked the way the characters would interact with each other. Worth taking a look. You have a scientist trying to create a cure for a long term illness. He would experiment on a chimpanzee. The second is about this human city sending a team to operate a power station by a dam. The apes occupy that territory. The third is where there is a war between human and ape. There is the Tim Burton remake and the 60s original films to watch. I remember looking at Jimi Hendrix songs after his was featured in War.

Black Cinema

Hollywood Shuffle is an eighties film. A satirical parody. All about Black actors in Hollywood. Written, directed by and starring Robert Townsend. I had seen this film on the Just Summ Reactions channel and decided to take a look. I would have stopped watching but stuck with it. The issues raised are still relevant today. Two of the Wayans brothers are involved with the film. Bobby is a young aspiring actor. Living at home with mum, gran and brother. He has a part time job at a food place. His girlfriend is a hairdresser. Some of the language might offend. There is a film that Bobby will audition for. Some stereotypes are challenged. Some fantasy scenes. The cast get to play multiple characters. Good actors. You will recognise some people. You might also like I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Bamboozled, Get Out, Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood, Undercover Brother. I recommend Primm's Hood Cinema as he is an all star.

Welcome back, let's do this one last time

Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton
Kayla Compton as Allegra Garcia
Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
Jon Cor as Mark Blaine/Chillblaine

The Flash season nine. This is the final season from the CW. It has been one hell of a run. Some old cast members are making an appearance. There was a nice moment where Barry says "welcome back, let's do this one last time" call it a fourth wall break. Two new villains are being introduced. You have Captain Boomerang trying to steal a component from a particle accelerator. The Flash is there to try and intercept him. Meanwhile Iris is going back into work and a lot has changed. There is a business proposition. Barry and Iris get stuck in a time loop. I did want to see what happened to Caitlin. I do not care for Chester and Allegra's love story. Cecile has new powers and she is with Joe practicing. I am hoping that they bring the series full circle regarding how the show began in season one. Effects are better. Great actors. Good action. You will like the soundtrack. They have changed the theme. That is all that I will write. Not going to bother about future posts. Best of luck to the cast and crew.

I am here to watch The Flash. People are boycotting the film due to Ezra Miller's antics. It doesn't affect me or anyone else. The CW series had come to an end. The new DC universe launched managed by James Gunn. I had arrived early as I have a new card and needed to see if the pin will work. Usually book seats early online. Seat J13 screen 8. 13:10 on Friday 16th June 2023. I was impressed with the film. Good action scenes, comedy and acting. The cgi was a little ropey at the beginning. Sasha as Supergirl did a great job. She is pretty too. Ezra as two different Barrys. It is just a shame with what happened outside of work. Good seeing Keaton, Sheen and Irons. Some cameos expected. Would have been nice foe Grant Gustin but because of availability it didn't happen. I know that they recast Henry. Good soundtrack. You could feel the emotion. The Speed Force was like if Sam Raimi had created it. The Flash is busy helping Batman save the city. Eventually he discovered what else he can do with his abilities. He goes back in time to save his mum being killed. A flash point is created. Things have changed for the worse. Sod has arrived to take over the world. Kara is being held prisoner. Bruce is retired. Barry needs the help he can get. There is a post credits scene though it isn't really important.
Sasha Calle · Supergirl ; Ben Affleck · Batman ; Ezra Miller · Barry Allen ; Michael Keaton · Batman ; Michael Shannon · General Zod.

Tyler Hoechlin as Kal-El / Clark Kent / Superman
Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane
Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent
Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent
Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing
Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cortez
Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons
Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons
Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo
Chad L. Coleman as Bruno Mannheim
Dylan Walsh as Samuel Lane
Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang
Superman And Lois season 3. Life carries on in Smallville after the apocalypse. It will take getting used to with a new Jonathan actor. I am sure that the cast worked well with him. The old actor was good but left due to mental health issues. Sarah looks good, impressive rack. I was watching the show on this streaming site that buffers. Anyway there is an investigation into the death of this world's John Henry Irons. A new threat is in town. Bruno Mannheim leads his Intergang. There are some strange characters. Samuel wanted to get to know Natalie. Jonathan has a driving test. Jordan is being taught new skills. Clark and Lois are spending time as a couple. John is busy looking into Intergang. The Cushings are dealing with a divorce and a school that needs refurbishment. Chrissy is running the gazette. Clark now works there. Erik deals with the divorce. I won't bother writing further seasons. The CW is winding down. As James Gunn is running the DCU.

Everything everywhere all at once

Michelle Yeoh · Stephanie Hsu · Ke Huy Quan · Jenny Slate · Harry Shum Jr. · James Hong · Jamie Lee Curtis. Everything Everywhere All At Once is a drama sci-fi comedy from the Daniels. An A24 release. Spectacular acting, stunt work, choreography, dialogue, effects, cinematography and soundtrack. This will have to win an award. Evelyn and Waymond own a launderette. They have a daughter Joy who is in a lesbian relationship with Becky. Grandad aka Gong Hong also lives with them. A party is being planned. The business is being audited and they must go to the IRS office. One of their customers Debbie is hot. Anyway the agent Deidre at the office deals with them. A verse jump happens. Another Waymond from across the multiverse has come to warn Evelyn of a major threat. A villain named Jobu Tupaki. All the cast did great especially with having to switch personalities. It is an outrageous and beautiful film. Definitely for the adults. You may have seen The One, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, Spider-man No Way Home, Crisis On Infinite Earths, Doctor Who. I had watched Michelle when she was in Sunshine, Tomorrow Never Dies, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Supercop to name a few. Ke was in The Goonies, Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom. I hadn't really decided on whether or not to see this film. There will be references. Trivia to read. See the reaction channels. I think that you should see this.

Tell them that the man in black sent you

Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam / Black Adam
Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall / Hawkman
Noah Centineo as Albert "Al" Rothstein / Atom Smasher
Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz
Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael Gregor
Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel / Cyclone
Bodhi Sabongui as Amon Tomaz
Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate
Mohammed Amer as Karim
I had finally gotten round to seeing the WB/DC movie Black Adam. I had been interested in going to the cinema. Mixed reviews. The DCU is being rebooted. I had watched the animation called Superman/Shazam! The Return Of Black Adam. Really good special effects. Good cast of actors, they had good chemistry. I like the soundtrack especially the main theme. A few hot women, highlight being Sarah Shahi. I like that Adam takes no prisoners. It does have a good bit of violence and swearing. In an ancient city somewhere in Africa or the Middle East there are slaves working at the mines. Searching for minerals. They do rebel against the king. No subtitles for the language that they spoke. 5000 years later and some revolutionaries are looking for a lost crown. Intergang are a villainous organisation. Currently appearing in Superman And Lois. They are running things. I knew that there would be a suspicious character. Adam has been awakened. The villains want the crown. Meanwhile the Justice Society are coming over from America to stop Black Adam. Amanda Waller has given them the mission. There are those Easter eggs. I wasn't bothered about any love story. Shazam Fury Of The Gods will be out soon.

Zachary Levi and Asher Angel as Billy Batson / Shazam
Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Frederick "Freddy" Freeman
Rachel Zegler as Anthea / Anne
Ross Butler and Ian Chen as Eugene Choi
D. J. Cotrona and Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña
Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield
Meagan Good and Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley
Lucy Liu as Kalypso
Djimon Hounsou as Shazam
Helen Mirren as Hespera
Marta Milans and Cooper Andrews as Rosa and Victor Vásquez
Shazam! Fury Of The Gods. Released in the cinemas 2023. Has had mixed reviews. I liked the first one. Watched Black Adam not long ago. There would have been a battle between the rivals in another film. But that won't happen now. The DC universe is rebooted. I paid £15.99 on Google TV. I could have watched this for free on one of those sites. Set in Philadelphia. Rosa, Super Darla, Anthea and Mary are pretty. Nice rack on Mary. I did find Billy and Freddy to be annoying. The special effects, acting and soundtrack were good. So you have the foster family living their daily lives and being superheroes too. They have the Rock Of Eternity as a secret lair. Billy is trying to keep the family together. The others want to do their own thing. Meanwhile these sisters who are goddesses have arrived on Earth. They have taken the magic staff. They want the powers back which the wizard had taken and granted to Billy. They do argue amongst themselves. Anne is the new girl that has taken a liking to Freddy. One of the sisters wants to punish humanity. The other just wants the powers back. Cameos had already been spoilt. They could have ended the story in one way and it would not have mattered. Plenty of violence. I wasn't actually going to see this film. I ignore reviews. See trivia and discussions.

Father of the year

Tom Cruise · Dakota Fanning · Miranda Otto · Justin Chatwin · Tim Robbins · Rick Gonzalez · Yul Vazquez · Lenny Venito.
I rewatched War Of The Worlds. A film by Stephen Spielberg. Based on the novel by HG Wells. Ray is working 12 hour shifts at the docks in New Jersey. His beautiful ex wife has dropped their son and daughter for the weekend. Meanwhile there is a storm brewing. He wasn't exactly the ideal husband and hadn't really connected with his kids. The lightening strike scene is memorable. The Tripods walk along destroying anything in their path. Good special effects and acting. I saw Rick Gonzalez at a shift that I worked. The son and daughter were a liability and annoying. Ray should have ditched them. Worth taking a look. There is the film from 1953 and TV series from 1988 and 2019. Morgan Freeman narrates. You might like Indepence Day, The Fifth Wave, Battlefield LA, Cloverfield, Darkest Hour, Skyline, The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Golden ticket

Last Action Hero starring Arnold Schwarzenegger · F. Murray Abraham · Art Carney · Charles Dance · Frank McRae · Tom Noonan · Robert Prosky · Anthony Quinn - Austin O'Brien. Screenplay was by Shane Black. A 90s action comedy. Parody, a satirical take on Hollywood. So many easter eggs. Danny is a young boy living in New York with his mother. It is a rough neighbourhood. He often goes to this rundown cinema. Nick is the projector operator. He has a magic golden ticket given to him by Houdini. Danny would be based on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. In the movie world is Jack Slater who is based on many action film characters. Shoots bad guys, blows things up and smokes a cigar. References are made to the films that were released around the time. There is a villain named Benedict who is working for a mob boss. I would say he was based on The Man With The Golden Gun. The police chief was definitely inspired by Beverly Hills Cop. There are many cameos. Check out the trivia on Imdb. I had been looking at reaction channels. I have seen the film before. The actor that played Cane in Robocop 2 is playing an axe murderer called Ripper. The acting is good. Charles Dance is always superb. Over the top stunts and effects. Plenty of hot women, Bobbie Brown is the one in the video store. I like the soundtrack. I did think that with the theme playing during the villain scenes it has a few notes of The Sound Of Silence. I did wonder about the women in bdsm costumes. Arnie does laugh at himself. Shane worked with him on Predator. This was out in 1993. Anyway I will thank you for visiting this page. Feel free to look around.
