Goodbye Mr Wick

Keanu Reeves · Laurence Fishburne · George Georgiou · Lance Reddick · Clancy Brown · Ian McShane · Marko Zaror · Bill Skarsgård - Hiroyuki Sanada - Shamier Anderson - Donnie Yen - Rina Sawayama.
John Wick Chapter 4 from Lionsgate. The final film. Action Thriller. Saw this at the cinema.
John is still on the run. He has his sights on The High Table. They have sent The Harbinger. Closing down operations at the hotel. Putting Winston and Charon out of a job. The Marquis has arrived. He wants Wick dead. Caine has been hired to kill John. There is a Tracker that wants the money and offers his services. Plenty of action. With one scene you could see the choreography and stunt work it was obvious. Misfires and how characters are not dead. Some bad guys had been suited with body armour. There is a scene later on which is impressive due to how creative the kills were. The card game scene was good. The boss has good moves on him. John has enlisted the help of old friends. Impressive cinematography. Nice soundtrack. Lance Reddick has only just passed away. Great acting and special effects. There is a post credits scene. There is talk of spin offs. There will be trivia to look at. Some questions are being asked. Worth taking a look. The whole series was good. Eva Longoria was a producer and backer for the first film. I had seen her at a shift that I worked at.
I did find the view obscured from this blonde sitting in the front. A bit of chatter from the side.

Black Cinema

Hollywood Shuffle is an eighties film. A satirical parody. All about Black actors in Hollywood. Written, directed by and starring Robert Townsend. I had seen this film on the Just Summ Reactions channel and decided to take a look. I would have stopped watching but stuck with it. The issues raised are still relevant today. Two of the Wayans brothers are involved with the film. Bobby is a young aspiring actor. Living at home with mum, gran and brother. He has a part time job at a food place. His girlfriend is a hairdresser. Some of the language might offend. There is a film that Bobby will audition for. Some stereotypes are challenged. Some fantasy scenes. The cast get to play multiple characters. Good actors. You will recognise some people. You might also like I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Bamboozled, Get Out, Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood, Undercover Brother. I recommend Primm's Hood Cinema as he is an all star.

French Dispatch

I started watching The French Dispatch Of The Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun. As it has been a long day I stopped midway. A Wes Anderson film. Slow paced. Comedy drama. Quite surreal. A star studded cast. I stopped watching again. The cinematography is good. I do try to work out what is going on. The narrator spoke about this newspaper company. Acts like an anthology. Each story is by a different journalist. The aspect ratio is different. Some pretty women. Nice tits on show. It is mainly in black and white. Some colour scenes. Set in 1920s to 70s. There is a prisoner that is an artist. The one woman working here is his muse. The art dealer has shown great interest in him. There are humorous moments. Each scene or camera shot looks like a fine art painting. Some shots where the people are frozen in position. Lingering looks towards the camera. To the people that don't know his work it will be confusing and boring. It is on Disneyplus. I may look at reviews and discussions if I can be bothered. Some cast members have returned to work with Wes. Another chapter has a journalist following a youth activist movement. Then you have a TV interview with a food critic. Events take place in a fictional French city. The soundtrack is nice. Clever dialogue. Wes is definitely an artist. I had seen Adrien Brody at a shift that I worked at in 2011. You might also like The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums, Midnight In Paris. Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Benicio Del Toro, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Elisabeth Moss, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Henry Winkler, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Liev Schreiber, Edward Norton, Lois Smith, Christoph Waltz, Cécile De France, Guillaume Galliene, Jason Schwartzman, Tony Revolori, Rupert Friend, Bob Balaban, Hippolyte Girardot, Anjelica Huston, and Wally Wolodarsky.

Cineworld.co.uk Here to watch The Conjuring 3. Ed and Lorraine Warren are on another case. Starting off a possession of a young boy. I won't spoil what goes on from there. But it is interesting how the film makers refer to true stories and the cases of the protagonists. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have done well in all the films. There is a murder case that has to be solved. The phrase "the devil made me do it" has probably been used a lot. Good special effects. I had my suspicions of one character. Good to have an antagonist that speaks. You might like the soundtrack. There is one song that is Ed and Lorraine's own theme which I will download. Great cast of actors. Will be making more trips to the cinema.

I've just seen some good trailers. The Tourist starring Johnny Depp. Good use of Muse-Motp. The Losers starring Idris Elba. This dvd I am selling on 22/09. UNKNOWN starring Liam Neeson, Dianne Kruger, January Jones, Aiden Quinn, Bruno Ganz, Frank Langella. StudioCanal/Dark Castle 2011. I do feel Liam might wind up getting typecast. He has had a variety of roles. He is in Amongst The Tombstones in cinemas now. You should see Non-Stop, Dark Man, The Lego Movie to name a few. Fans of Taken will love this. It's described as 'Bourne meets Hitchcock'. Cert 15 5055201814227 plenty of special features. I saw the trailer a few weeks back. Dr Martin Harris has flown in with his wife. They're on their way to a biotechnology summit in Berlin. Similar Bourne trilogy, The Forgotten, Total Recall, The Net, The 6th Day. A suitcase had been left behind at the airport. Some problems at check-in at the hotel. The taxi driver is pretty as is the wife. On the way back to the airport there is a car crash. He awakes in hospital. Having been in a coma and suffering some memory loss. He must piece together what happened and why. It's an action thriller. Sometimes I feel trailers, blurbs and reviews give too much away. There are twists, violence, deceit, betrayal. His wife doesn't recognise him. He needs to prove that he is who he says he is. Others see him as a mad man. There are a group of assassins that want to keep him out of the way. There is the comedy The Double that I'll see. Gina is an immigrant. Working as a taxi driver and barmaid. A good cast of actors. I like the old east german spy that's helping Martin. They would've got permission to film the stunt scenes on the streets of Berlin. Very apt having Blue Monday on the soundtrack. Lots of clues. Martin carries a book with him. I'm rooting for the guy. I think you ought to see this. January Jones (Liz) was in X-Men First Class. Dianne Kruger (Gina) was in The Host. Bruno Ganz was in Downfall. See wikipedia/imdb for more films and full cast, crew names. http://amazon.co.uk LAKEVIEW TERRACE Samuel L Jackson, Patrick Wilson, Kerry Washington, Jay Hernandez, Ron Glass, Justin Chambers, Regine Nehy, Jaishon Fisher, Robert Pine, Keith Loneker, Caleeb Pinkett. Directed by Neil Labute, Screen Gems 2008 Cert 18 5035822505087. I'm selling this on Amazon tomorrow. Region 2 & 5. Bonus are deleted scenes and featurettes. Languages in English, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Turkish. Subtitled in various languages. A drama thriller looking at racial tensions, prejudice, neighbourhood, communities. Set in California. A black LA police officer lives in this area with his young son and teenage daughter. He is a strict father. A religious man. A newlywed couple have only just moved in. Chris (white) and Lisa (black). Abel the cop likes to keep a watchful eye on his neighbours. He clearly doesn't approve of their interracial relationship. A talented cast of actors. Lakeview is a suburb. Scenes also shot in downtown LA. Good scene at the arrest of the local drug dealer. The soundtrack is pretty good. Priscilia and Marcus are the kid's names. See the ads, trailers and reviews. The Purge, The Last House On The Left, The Burbs, 187, The Ledge, Pulp Fiction, Scandal, Friday, Boyz In The Hood, Dangerous Minds, Crash, Do The Right Thing, Bamboozled, Training Day, A Time To Kill, Die Hard With A Vengence, House Party, Hard Candy, Insidious, The Last King Of Scotland. For some reason I assume Kerry was in a Saw film. Good dialogue, especially from Able. Some nice strippers in a scene. Interesting scenery. Special features are infact a making of segment, commentary, deleted scenes and trailers.

DEVIL'S DUE cert 15. 5039036066426

Natural Magick Shop Natural Magick Shop. Magick oils and other pagan supplies, ritually crafted by an experienced witch

An occult horror about an American couple that'd just got married. Zach (Zach Gilford) and Samantha (Allison Miller) have been filming everything on their small camcorder. They'd travelled to the Carribean on their honeymoon. There they are invited out by a taxi driver. It get's alot sinister. Allison falls pregnant and strange things start happening around the home. A found footage/pov style. The film may appeal to fans of Rosemary's Baby, The Omen, Paranormal Activity, The Last Excorcism, The Unborn. There are a few hot girls in this. I quite liked this film. The special features are deleted scenes and extended ending. Released by Twentieth Century Fox in 2014. You might also like House Of The Devil, The Devil's Own. Written by Lindsay Devlin. Worth turning the volume up. Some blink and you'll miss it moments. An experiment is to be conducted. Cameras set up. Alarm clocks ready. I recommend Ghost Adventures, Grave Encounters. A back history is given. Karen speaks quite quickly. Clever editing, haunting music. Good special effects. A good cast. See the reviews. Out to buy now.

Exodus Of Gods And Kings

Exodus Of Gods And Kings A Ridley Scott film starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, John Turturro, Aaron Paul, Ben Mandelson, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley. Set in ancient Egypt where the Hewbrew people are kept as slaves. There is sibling rivalry. There is a good cast of actors. Retelling of the Moses story. I notice how the characters are Caucasian. There is mumbling going on. I was trying to figure out what was going on. Moses sounded like Michael Caine. I did feel sleepy so will need to watch the rest later. Some mixed up reviews online. You might like Noah, Pompeii, Gladiator. The lady playing Moses' wife is pretty. Cert 12, Twentieth Century Fox 2014. 5039036072748 Special features are extended, deleted scenes and commentary by the director. The Alien series and Prometheus were good. There are the English accents. Subtitles are on. Much respect to the young lad playing the human form of God. Impressive special effects. The priestess is hot. She was in the TV show Rome. Everything Must Go

A comedy drama starring Will Ferrell as Nick. A man that sees his world fall apart. It's an interesting story. Slow paced with a lovely soundtrack. Rebecca Hall and Laura Dern also star. Christopher CJ Wallis plays Nick's young friend Kenny. Nick has just lost his job. He happens to have an alcohol problem. His wife has left him. All his belongings are on the lawn. There are various other characters that make an appearance. For instance Detective Garcia (Michael Cena) that knows Nick very well and wants him to move on with his life. In my opinion this is Ferrell's best film. Cert 15 5060255690666. G2 Pictures Ltd 2011. I saw the trailer which got me interested. It's set in Arizona. I like the scenery. You might also enjoy About Schmidt, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, Drinking Buddies, Sideways, The Descendants, Up In The Air. It's based on a book. Written/directed by Dan Rush. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
Cert 12, SciFi action, Just watched it with my brothers at the Odeon, Loughborough. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo etc are back. James Spader was great as Ultron. A great look and dry sense of humour. Some comedy along way. Loud action scenes. The team have to get Loki's staff. Stark, Banner and Jarvis looked to use the power of the gem for a new machine that will protect the world. Elizabeth Olsen looked good. I noticed one citizen with her breasts almost falling out of her dress. There will be a further film. Superb special effects. The trailers before the film were interesting. New James Bond film Spectre. Terminator Genesis is what I intend to watch. Directed by Joss Whedon. Jon Favreau was a producer. Plenty of violence and some swearing. There were young kids in the audience. It was good to see Paul Bettany. The new Star Wars film is out now.

THE POSSESSION
Apparently based on a true story. You can find that story on series 1 of Paranormal Witness. Its from Sam Raimi. Who also made Evil Dead, Spiderman, Drag Me To Hell. You might like Insidious, Sinister. Crazy opening scene with the old lady. Dibbuk is part of Jewish folklore. The lead character played by some actor that looks familiar. He just picked up his daughter from his ex wife's house. There is an old film called Polterguist for you younger folk that weren't around then. There is a pretty girl that plays the violin. Billy Connelly is actually dying of cancer. Fisherman's Blues

I had also rented Boyhood which was 12 years in the making. The same cast ageing over time. Focuses on the young lad. Ethan Hawks plays his father. Patricia Arquette has a cracking rack. The little sister is annoying. Imagine what the cast will be feeling when they watch the film back. A variety of songs reflecting the time period. The kids add the comedy. Hawke's character seems annoying in the first few minutes. He was a child actor, see Explorers. Some adlibbing in the scenes like Outnumbered. The kids did get to have fun whilst filming. Interesting seeing the changes in the appearance of the cast especially the females. Pays homage to different things. Some hot women in later scenes. Ellar Coltrane and Lorelei Linklater have done other films. See the Amazon and Cduniverse search boxes. Mason reminds me of Taylor Lautner. 2 hr 39 m run time. 2014 Universal.

There where some good trailers for family comedy from the makers of Outnumbered called What We Did On Our Holiday. Another was a spoof romcom with most of the cast from SNL called They Came Together. Also the new Hunger Games film is out in cinemas now.

I'm watching Chef. It was written, directed by and starring Jon Favreau. He plays Carl Casper a chef at a fancy LA restaurant owned by manager Dustin Hoffman. His ex-wife Inez is played by the lovely Sofia Vergara. John Leguizamo plays his friend Martin. Son is Emjay Anthony, other cast members include Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Oliver Platt, Bobby Cannavale, Amy Sedaris. Cert 15, 2014, 5055761903348. I've worked in hospitality and catering for a while now. See my other posts. I've met various chefs.

The film has a mixed soundtrack it seems. Some latino, reggae, hip hop, jazz tracks. The opening scene is of Carl preparing some food. Jon Favreau perhaps enjoyed cooking. Would have picked up some tips from celebrity chefs. There is a food critic that's coming to the restaurant. His friend has just delivered the pig. Tony is a fellow chef suffering from a hangover. He picks up his son Percy. They were to go to the cinema but pop needs to pick up ingredients. Some of you may have watched Master chef, Come Dine With Me, Kitchen Nightmares, Man Vs Food, Michell Roux's Service. Riva the manager is controlling and gets into an argument with Carl. Molly is the front of house staff, a sommelier/bartender. Idmb for full cast. A good scene when Carl is reading the online blog regarding their restaurant. Some additional characters and extras are featured. Twitter gets a mention. Social networking was mentioned in an interview on Sunday Brunch. I wound up in trouble because of it. Carl signs up. Various tweets are talking about that review. Carl has a scathing response to all the criticism. A mistake some new users make. People lose jobs, wind up in jail by posting things online. Plenty of stupid arguments in the YouTube comments section. A character named Ramsey Michell, he's the food blogger. He eventually quits the job and runs a food truck. The restaurant is overbooked. This becomes a road trip film. A great cast of actors. Sofia looks stunning and sounds sexy. Downey Jr is businessman Marvin. No bonus features. I recommend this film.

Other Jon Favreau films are The Big Empty, Made, Iron Man, Swingers, Avengers Assemble. See his appearance in the TV show Friends.
See the trailer.

A film based on the graphic novel All You Need Is Kill. I recommend Triangle, Repeaters, 12:01, Groundhog Day, About Time. Warner Bros 2014. Cert 12. Sci fi. 5051892163507. Stars Tom Cruise as Major William Cage, a man sent into a war. He is forced to relive the same day repeatedly. Emily Blunt is Rita Vrataski, a warrior that trains with him. An alien race had attacked Earth. Some bonus features are included. Oblivion was good. Also see Looper. The soldiers are equipt with special suits. See Elysium. Opening footage is of news reports. Brian Gleeson is a General in the army. He is met in London by Cage. The Major is sent to France as the aliens named 'Mimics' have invaded much of Europe. The United Defence Force are going to war. William is reluctant to go. Bill Paxton plays a Sergeant. Cage is not much of a soldier yet has the rank of Major. Impressive effects. The laser beams gun shots flow in a weird way. The alien design is unique. There is a good cast. It's amusing at times. Different ways to die. The training sequence is good. Clever editing. Take after take. Soundtrack is ok. I think you'll like this.

Starring Will Ferrell and Zalifianakis play Cam Brady and Marty Higgins. Two opposing political candidates. They're aiming for the North Carolina congressional seat. Cert 15, 2012 Warner Bros, 5051892143325. There is a sketch where Ferrell impersonates George W Bush. I recommend The Ides Of March, Everything Must Go, It's Kind Of A Funny Story, Due Date. This is a comedy. Shana (Kate Miner) is the groupie that's quite nice. Can sends her a dirty message but it gets sent to the wrong phone number. Jason Sudeikis is the advisor. He was also in Bad Bosses, We're The Millers, Drinking Buddies. Other cast members are Katherine Lanasa, Dylan McDermott, John Lithgow, Dan Akroyd, Brian Cox, Josh Lawson, Thomas Middleditch, Sarah Baker. You might have seen The Thick Of It, Have I Got News For You for satire. Akroyd and Lithgow play brothers. They're intent on finding a candidate to go against Brady. Marty is a camp man. He has a wife and kids. The maid has to put on an accent. Cox is the father. Southern accents through out. Funny dialogue. A deal is being made with a business in China. Contains shit load of swearing. Cam's wife is nice. Crude humour. The cast are great. Nice confessions from the kids. The youngest one reminds me of Jonah Hill. There must be some outtakes. Marty's advisor Tim is confident, shady. His place and family are given a makeover. The hairdresser had nice tits. The story moves forward a few weeks. Becky (Amelia Jackson-Gray) is a pretty lady in a blue dress, she has a wardrobe malfunction. Nice boob. A shocking baby scene. The Motch brothers remind me of the old guys from Trading Places. This film takes the piss out of republicans and America in general. Nice cheerleaders. Bonus: extended/deleted scenes. It's available on Amazon. See the customer reviews.

Paranormal Activity 3 will be out sometime. Eerie moments like you'd get with the Grudge trilogy. I'm watching it now. Will be adding bits. The Ghosthunters add a comedic element to the film. Barbera Hershey is in this film, she was once in The Entity, she looked fantastic naked and looks good now. Rose Byrne (Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later). Lynn Shay (2001 Manics). Another scary film is White Noise, also The Fourth Kind. The song that plays on the record player as Renai takes out the garbage is 'Nurole Bianche' by Ludvico Einaudi. Thanks for reading.

If you have seen Groundhog Day, then I recommend this film! You should also see The Jacket, 12:01, The Time Traveller's Wife, Twelve Monkeys, Donnie Darko, The Time Machine, Southland Tales and S.Darko. Jake Gyllenhal does brilliantly. Vera Farmiga and Michelle Monaghan are hot. I like Sci-fi films especially ones with a time travel element. Plenty of suspense, action, comedic moments.

Sucker Punch
An entertaining film not just about the action and special FX. Quite abit about the drama and a philosiphy of life. Switching from reality to fantasy and back through out the film. Emily Browning is great as are all the cast. Some nice twists and turns. Baby Doll is locked in an asylum and wishes to escape. If you like The Matrix, Advancement Bureau, Inception then you will love this. The soundtrack is great punk, metal, trip hop. Out to rent now.
