John Wick Chapter 4 from Lionsgate. The final film. Action Thriller. Saw this at the cinema. 

John is still on the run. He has his sights on The High Table. They have sent The Harbinger. Closing down operations at the hotel. Putting Winston and Charon out of a job. The Marquis has arrived. He wants Wick dead. Caine has been hired to kill John. There is a Tracker that wants the money and offers his services. Plenty of action. With one scene you could see the choreography and stunt work it was obvious. Misfires and how characters are not dead. Some bad guys had been suited with body armour. There is a scene later on which is impressive due to how creative the kills were. The card game scene was good. The boss has good moves on him. John has enlisted the help of old friends. Impressive cinematography. Nice soundtrack. Lance Reddick has only just passed away. Great acting and special effects. There is a post credits scene. There is talk of spin offs. There will be trivia to look at. Some questions are being asked. Worth taking a look. The whole series was good. Eva Longoria was a producer and backer for the first film. I had seen her at a shift that I worked at.

I did find the view obscured from this blonde sitting in the front. A bit of chatter from the side.

Chaos

I am rewatching The Butterfly Effect trilogy. The first one released in 2004. Starring Ashton Kutcher, Melora Walters, Amy Smart, Elden Henson, William Lee Scott. It is a scifi drama. Kutcher's best work. It focuses on abuse. Good soundtrack. I like the editing and acting. You may have seen The Time Traveller's Wife, The Time Machine, Quantum Leap, Back To The Future, About Time, Donnie Darko, Timeline, Timeless. This has a love story at the centre of it. The time travel aspect will attract most. Chaos Theory is where you could change one thing and a random chain of events can occur. Evan is a young man that had been having blackouts as a child. He starts a journal. Upon reading an entry he will be transported back that year in his own body. He tries to see what he can do to make things better. Altering the course of history. Worth taking a look at all of the films. Eric Stoltz was originally in Back To The Future. However this is the time travel film that he gets to be in.

With the second film you have Nick, an employee of a tech company. Having to deal with potential investors. He is with his girlfriend and two friends. Having a picnic. A car accident happens. Nick can travel through time by focusing on photographs. The actresses have nice breasts. The sex scenes are unnecessary. It acknowledged the first film. I do question as to how all the characters from the trilogy are connected. Why they can time travel. Eric Lively, Erica Durance, Dustin Milligan, Gina Holden, David Lewis. Good soundtrack. I wonder why they bothered with sequels. 

The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations. Chris Carmack, Rachel Miner, Melissa Jones, Kevin Yon, Lynch R. Travis. Sam is a psychic working for the police. His method of time travel is different. No longer having nosebleeds or headaches. His sister Jenna has an apartment. His girlfriend was murdered. Her hot sister had come to visit. She believed the man on death row to be innocent. Interesting soundtrack. Nice rack on the barmaid.

A few pretty actresses. Goldburg is a guide/friend to Sam. Only he and Jenna know about the time jumps. Having already seen this film I view it differently. Good actors. There is a continuity error near end. The shoe is off the foot. Back on and off again.

I had finally gotten round to seeing the WB/DC movie Black Adam. I had been interested in going to the cinema. Mixed reviews. The DCU is being rebooted. I had watched the animation called Superman/Shazam! The Return Of Black Adam. Really good special effects. Good cast of actors, they had good chemistry. I like the soundtrack especially the main theme. A few hot women, highlight being Sarah Shahi. I like that Adam takes no prisoners. It does have a good bit of violence and swearing. In an ancient city somewhere in Africa or the Middle East there are slaves working at the mines. Searching for minerals. They do rebel against the king. No subtitles for the language that they spoke. 5000 years later and some revolutionaries are looking for a lost crown. Intergang are a villainous organisation. Currently appearing in Superman And Lois. They are running things. I knew that there would be a suspicious character. Adam has been awakened. The villains want the crown. Meanwhile the Justice Society are coming over from America to stop Black Adam. Amanda Waller has given them the mission. There are those Easter eggs. I wasn't bothered about any love story. Shazam Fury Of The Gods will be out soon.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods. Released in the cinemas 2023. Has had mixed reviews. I liked the first one. Watched Black Adam not long ago. There would have been a battle between the rivals in another film. But that won't happen now. The DC universe is rebooted. I paid £15.99 on Google TV. I could have watched this for free on one of those sites. Set in Philadelphia. Rosa, Super Darla, Anthea and Mary are pretty. Nice rack on Mary. I did find Billy and Freddy to be annoying. The special effects, acting and soundtrack were good. So you have the foster family living their daily lives and being superheroes too. They have the Rock Of Eternity as a secret lair. Billy is trying to keep the family together. The others want to do their own thing. Meanwhile these sisters who are goddesses have arrived on Earth. They have taken the magic staff. They want the powers back which the wizard had taken and granted to Billy. They do argue amongst themselves. Anne is the new girl that has taken a liking to Freddy. One of the sisters wants to punish humanity. The other just wants the powers back. Cameos had already been spoilt. They could have ended the story in one way and it would not have mattered. Plenty of violence. I wasn't actually going to see this film. I ignore reviews. See trivia and discussions. 

Father of the year

I rewatched War Of The Worlds. A film by Stephen Spielberg. Based on the novel by HG Wells. Ray is working 12 hour shifts at the docks in New Jersey. His beautiful ex wife has dropped their son and daughter for the weekend. Meanwhile there is a storm brewing. He wasn't exactly the ideal husband and hadn't really connected with his kids. The lightening strike scene is memorable. The Tripods walk along destroying anything in their path. Good special effects and acting. I saw Rick Gonzalez at a shift that I worked. The son and daughter were a liability and annoying. Ray should have ditched them. Worth taking a look. There is the film from 1953 and TV series from 1988 and 2019. Morgan Freeman narrates. You might like Indepence Day, The Fifth Wave, Battlefield LA, Cloverfield, Darkest Hour, Skyline, The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Last Action Hero starring Arnold Schwarzenegger · F. Murray Abraham · Art Carney · Charles Dance · Frank McRae · Tom Noonan · Robert Prosky · Anthony Quinn - Austin O'Brien. Screenplay was by Shane Black. A 90s action comedy. Parody, a satirical take on Hollywood. So many easter eggs. Danny is a young boy living in New York with his mother. It is a rough neighbourhood. He often goes to this rundown cinema. Nick is the projector operator. He has a magic golden ticket given to him by Houdini. Danny would be based on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. In the movie world is Jack Slater who is based on many action film characters. Shoots bad guys, blows things up and smokes a cigar. References are made to the films that were released around the time. There is a villain named Benedict who is working for a mob boss. I would say he was based on The Man With The Golden Gun. The police chief was definitely inspired by Beverly Hills Cop. There are many cameos. Check out the trivia on Imdb. I had been looking at reaction channels. I have seen the film before. The actor that played Cane in Robocop 2 is playing an axe murderer called Ripper. The acting is good. Charles Dance is always superb. Over the top stunts and effects. Plenty of hot women, Bobbie Brown is the one in the video store. I like the soundtrack. I did think that with the theme playing during the villain scenes it has a few notes of The Sound Of Silence. I did wonder about the women in bdsm costumes. Arnie does laugh at himself. Shane worked with him on Predator. This was out in 1993. Anyway I will thank you for visiting this page. Ripd 2: Rise Of The Damned. A prequel to the film that starred Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. Based on the Dark Horse Comics. You get to see a young Roy in the wild west of 1876. His life as a Sheriff. Some reviewer spoke of how his death was different in this film. Maybe they did make reference to the first film. He is with his daughter and fiance. There are a group of bandits. A shoot out occurs. Roy is recruited by the Department to find Deados, the souls that escaped judgment. Meanwhile Otis is a man that had been looking for gold and accidentally opened up the gates of Hell. Jeanne is a knight that has been around for a long time and she is hot. Plenty of attractive women. It has action, horror, comedy and drama. Good cast of actors and special effects. You may have seen the original film. You should also see Men In Black, Jonah Hex, Bright, Day Shift, Tremors, Ghostbusters, Pexels, Hell Boy, Prey. Nice soundtrack. I may look into the back story. The cast are familiar. Regardless of the ratings and reviews, go see it with an open mind.

Silent Night is a comedy horror film from 2021. Starring Keira Knightley. It is Christmas. This is England. A family are having a party and they have invited friends. There is this oncoming storm and it will kill everything in it's path. One of those films that leads up to the apocalypse. You have a variety of characters. You see how they interact and what secrets will be shared. As the pandemic was still on. I do wonder if this was influenced by it. There are these films worth seeing, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, Don't Look Up, Await Further Instructions, Ready Or Not, The Children. Lily Rose Depp is hot. Nice soundtrack. Good acting especially from the children. You will recognise the actors from their previous work. The trailer can give abit away. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I have watched The Black Phone. Actors: E. Roger Mitchell, Ethan Hawke, Gina Jun, J. Gaven Wilde, James Ransone, Jeremy Davies, Kellan Rhude, Madeleine McGraw, Mason Thames, Michael Banks Repeta. A horror film from Blumhouse. Set in 1978. There is a small town. Finney is our protagonist. Good at baseball. Seems to get bullied. The actor looks like Shia Labeouf. His father is abusive. His sister Gwen is a psychic of sorts. Has these visions in her dreams. Love the dialogue. Looks a little like Ariana Grande. She does wear a yellow raincoat and it's a nod to IT. Robin is a tough kid. He isn't scared of the bullies. There is a scene where they talk in the toilets. Finney has used the urinal and grabs a paper towel then washes his hands. Wipes his hands and throws the towel into the toilet bowl. So many wrongs. Anyhow there is the villain called The Grabber. He has been abducting and murdering children. Not sure what his motivation was. The actors that played these characters were superb. Especially Madeleine and Ethan. Good special effects. As Finney gets kidnapped. A bare mattress that he has to lay on. He has drunk from the toilet cistern and picked up the biscuits off the floor. I am an obsessive compulsive. There is a black phone attached to the wall. The dead victims call him on it. There is a really good scene but I won't spoil it. Clever film. One of the actors is handsome. When I saw the trailer I wasn't too sure. On Google Movies they are charging alot. I went to 123Movies. This film company never disappoints. They have used actors from previous films. I will look at the trivia, discussion and reactions. I recommend that you see it. You might also like Room, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Tall Man, Devil's Knot, Misery, The Lovely Bones, The Loved Ones, The Strangers, I Spit On Your Grave, Hostel, Saw, The Collector. Based on the short story by Joe Hill who is the son of Stephen King.   

The fate of the world is in your hands

I have just watched The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt, Betty Gilpin, Jk Simmons. A Sci fi action film. Amazon Prime presentation. Made by Paramount and Sky Dance. It does have a good mix of actors. Great special effects. Interesting plot. Good soundtrack provided by Lorne Balfe. Beginning in the year 2022. Soldiers from the future have arrived. They come with a warning. In the year 2051 the aliens have invaded. People are being recruited to go fight in a future war. I did predict a character appearing in the future. Alien creatures are fascinating and scary. The protagonist is a science teacher named Dan. He has a wife and daughter. His father that he barely speaks to. It is a 2 hour movie. If you liked Independence Day, Battlefield LA, Arrival, Terminator, Edge Of Tomorrow, Alien, Predator, Jurassic Park then this is for you.

Ok so this fella named Martin has come to a small town looking for Ana. He finds that she had passed on. Whilst sitting on a bench he is attacked by some thugs. A young man named Peter helps him out. Ana suffered from a disease that makes her addicted to human blood. Perhaps a cannibal or vampire. You might like The New Daughter, Maggie, Let Me In, Extinction, Stakeland, World War Z, The Lazurus Effect, I Am Legend, Contaigon, Carriers. Interesting and different. See Imdb for full cast list. Une Heure De Tranquillite aka Do Not Disturb cert 15. StudioCanal 2014 5055201832481. Subtitled. French film, comedy about a Jazz music fan named Michel. He finds a rare record and hopes to have some time alone to listen to it. But friends, family and neighbours all want some of his time. I recommend Spanish film I'm So Excited and another French film Taxi, American indie The Visitor, Two Days In New York and TV series The Returned, Brit flick with David Tennant What We Did On Our Holiday. Set in Paris. Recent events meaning France will get lots of mention. Great cast of actors.


Maggie A horror starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin. A father is in turmoil as his daughter had been bitten by a zombie and is infected. She will change and Wade wants to spend as much time with her as he can. You might like The Walking Dead, The Stranger, The New Daughter, Z Nation, Extinction, World War Z. Cert 15, 5053083037697 Universal Pictures 2014. It is more a drama. Slow moving. Something different for Arnie to be involved in. Normalises the horror genre. See how the people deal with living in a post apocalyptic world. The change from human to monster. How the infection is just like any other disease eg ebola, cancer etc. The music may be worth downloading.

You may have seen Mean Girls, She's All That, Easy A, Cruel Intentions, Struck By Lightening, The Breakfast Club, Clueless, Saved By The Bell. Bianca is an outsider. She discovered that she has been labelled a DUFF aka Designated Ugly Fat Friend. She befriends Wesley and is enemies with Madison. Cast Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Bianca Santos, Alison Janney. Miss Thorne is hot. The trailer looked interesting. There are several special features such as gag reel, behind the scenes. I'm sure this will become a cult hit with teens. Bianca has two hot friends. The artistic blonde Jess and the brunette Casey. Ken Jeong also stars. High School doesn't have to be shallow. Glad I grew up in the UK and not US. A good cast of actors. It seems with these teen movies, the character has to change their appearance in order to be accepted. That is just wrong. It is a satrical look at teen life. Reminds me a little of She's The Man. A mixed bag when it comes to a soundtrack.

You might want to see my other blog posts regarding films. A few friends are in a car driving along the open road. All of a sudden they're attacked by crows. Imagine The Birds, Resident Evil. They're now on a farm. There is Johnny, Brian, Chris, Nat and Scotty. One of the gang has gone missing. There is a farmhouse nearby. See the film, Scarecrow, Seventh Moon, Skinwalkers, The New Daughter. I'm using the Blogger app. See the reviews. There is a supernatural force hiding out in the corn fields. An unseen enemy like in Predator. Contains strong violence and gore. A creepy atmosphere. Good production values. Often these cast members are in tv shows. A slasher element to it too. Sarge is the leader, he is narrating. You might like the Outpost trilogy. Plus a Dolph Lungren zombie flick. The characters from the first film were featured. There is an island called Plum, Delaware that the soldiers are headed for. Irish Americans live there. Patrick O'Flynn is in charge. His daughter is among the group. Expect gore and violence. Sheamus Muldoon is the leader of the rival gang. Three weeks later in Philidelphia. A female soldier masturbates. She's called Tomboy and is a lesbian. A couple of rednecks at campfire. A teen lad is hooking up with the soldiers. Some satire/comedic moments. Sisqo is a spanish soldier. Strange CGI effects. Great acting from the zombie cast. Worth checking out.

Reece is dishevelled, on leave but wants in on the case. Set in July 2012 in the Nevada dessert. Torrey DeVitto, Caitlin Stasey, Harry Lennix, Dale Dickey, Svetlana Metkina. The scene is pretty gruesome. From the makers of The Fourth Kind. There's another film of the name that you should see. There is photo and video footage that were taken by the victims. It was a bus travelling to Las Vegas that crashed. There is an abandoned warehouse where a masked killer dwells. See V/H/S, Tomorrow When The War Began. A group: singer Tyler, actress Leanne and film maker Rachel, hot girls are shown first. Joined by Russian Imogen, magician Steven. It's a private hire bus, the driver was in the Matrix films. All to work in showbiz. The trailer was good. Nice special effects and acting. Strong violence, language.

A black LA police officer lives in this area with his young son and teenage daughter. He is a strict father. A religious man. A newlywed couple have only just moved in. Chris (white) and Lisa (black). Abel the cop likes to keep a watchful eye on his neighbours. He clearly doesn't approve of their interracial relationship. A talented cast of actors. Lakeview is a suburb. Scenes also shot in downtown LA. Good scene at the arrest of the local drug dealer. The soundtrack is pretty good.

For some reason I assume Kerry was in a Saw film. Good dialogue, especially from Able. Some nice strippers in a scene. Interesting scenery. Special features are infact a making of segment, commentary, deleted scenes and trailers.

UNKNOWN starring Liam Neeson, Dianne Kruger, January Jones, Aiden Quinn, Bruno Ganz, Frank Langella. StudioCanal/Dark Castle 2011. I do feel Liam might wind up getting typecast. He has had a variety of roles. He is in Amongst The Tombstones in cinemas now. You should see Non-Stop, Dark Man, The Lego Movie to name a few. Fans of Taken will love this. It's described as 'Bourne meets Hitchcock'. Cert 15 5055201814227 plenty of special features. I saw the trailer a few weeks back. Dr Martin Harris has flown in with his wife. They're on their way to a biotechnology summit in Berlin. Similar Bourne trilogy, The Forgotten, Total Recall, The Net, The 6th Day. A suitcase had been left behind at the airport. Some problems at check-in at the hotel. The taxi driver is pretty as is the wife. On the way back to the airport there is a car crash. He awakes in hospital.

Having been in a coma and suffering some memory loss. He must piece together what happened and why. It's an action thriller. Sometimes I feel trailers, blurbs and reviews give too much away. There are twists, violence, deceit, betrayal. His wife doesn't recognise him. He needs to prove that he is who he says he is. Others see him as a mad man. THE TOURIST 2010 Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Paul Bettany, Timothy Dalton. A thriller with a hint of comedy, in Europe. The trailer looked good with the Muse song Map Of The Problematique. Starlight is played during the end credits. The bad guys seem to be poor at shooting. Great shots of Venice and other locations. Like a Bond film. I'm selling this on Amazon. Elise is a glamorous English woman. Constantly being followed by special services. There is Reginald Shaw, played by Steven Berkoff. He was in an Indiana Jones film. They're after man of mystery Alexander Pierce. The soundtrack isn't bad. Some clever moments like piecing a burnt letter together to read the message. Look at the discussions after seeing this. Cert 12 5055201812001. You might like The Cold Light Of Day, The Two Faces Of January. Does reveal things too soon. Frank is an American math teacher on holiday. He gets caught up in the hoohah. Jolie's accent I'm not sure about. Did the accent in Tomb Raider. Nice eyes but not attracted to her. Spyglass Entertainment. Fascinating having the airport near water. The hospitality staff were very professional. Extras: behind the scenes footage, outtakes, commentary, interview. Julian Fellows was the screenwriter. Good insight into the making of the film. I hope you see this dvd.

Cert 15. Horror. Vampires. Starring Nick Damici and Connor Paolo. Special features contain two commentaries. I've rented this from Blockbuster. You might also like Daybreakers, 30 Days Of Night, From Dusk Till Dawn, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. An impressive start. There is a vampire attack as expected. The US is pretty much gone to hell like Zombieland and The Walking Dead. Nice music, folk and classical. There is a nice busty barmaid in this town that they've just stopped of at. There was a warning about cannibals. Other good vampire slayers are Buffy, James Woods in a John Carpenter film, Priest. There is a nun that's joined them. Mister saved her from some rapists. A grave was dug for a vampire. Jebidiah Logan and his gang are intent on revenge. The actress playing the nun was in The Innkeepers. Brutal, violent and gory scenes. A vampire in a Santa Claus outfit. There is a pretty young girl that joins the gang and she can sing too. There is the Christian Brotherhood that will kill other humans.This is definetly worth a watch. At the time of writing I have several items for sale on Ebay and Amazon. Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Ron Livingston. Comedy drama, indie film with a big cast. Lots of improvising. Mainly dialogue in these scenes. May not be to everyone's taste. Olivia and Anna look hot. There is a scene where Olivia is nude. Cert 15 2013. Kate works at a craft brewery with Luke. She tends to eat and drink alot but is always in shape. There is quite abit of drinking. Must play hell with the liver. Kate's boyfriend Chris and Luke's fiance Jill are more sophisticated. While the other two act like slobs. There is a platonic friendship. Sometimes you wonder if they'll date or not. Kate can be annoying. If you like Sideways you might enjoy this. There are special features: commentary, outtakes and deleted scenes, interviews, behind the scenes. It's available to buy everywhere. Jake Johnson is often in the sitcom New Girl. Anna Kendrick was excellent in Pitch Perfect. Ti West does star too. As does Wilde's real life boyfriend. Written/directed by Joe Swanberg. Nice scenery. Cool brewery. Slow paced. It's part of the Mumblecore genre.

With his help he can devise an escape plan. Other prison films that I recommend are Shawshank Redemption, Life, Fortress, The Last Castle, Con Air, Escape From Alcatraz. See the tv shows OZ and Prison Break. Plenty of special features. Good amount of violence. Cert 15, 2013 release. Jim Caviezel, Amy Ryan, 50 Cent, Vinnie Jones also star. I expect some jokes along the way. See the trailer. Most crime films always have the protagonist on 'one last job'. Fans of The Expendables, Oceans Eleven, Tower Heist might like this. There are plot twists. Arnie no longer the govenor has returned to acting.

She has telekenetic powers. She is a great actress, see Let Me In, Kick-Ass, Movie 43. Directed by Kimberley Pierce. Gory in places. Some hot teens. Abit like Mean Girls, Case 39. The mother is a religious extremist and abusive. There is a pe teacher that wants to help Carrie. Chrissie is the arch rival. Two bonus features: one is a making of, the other is a coffee shop surprise. You'll googling explanations and maybe seeing youtube vids. Supernatural element. Carrie is pretty. Sue is a girl that is feeling regretful. Prom is on it's way. An eclectic soundtrack. A good cast. Please take a look. Saw some trailers. One had a dubstep track with no speaking. Had Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman on it. The other is a mob comedy like Analyse That, We're The Millers. The Family, stars Robert DeNiro, Diana Agron who is hot.
