Who lives in a house like this?

A thriller/black comedy starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac. Suburbicon is a town in the 50-60s. Directed by George Clooney. Produced by the Coen brothers. Moore plays two characters. It was confusing in the beginning about who was related to who. There is a home invasion that takes place at the home of Gardner Lodge. He has a young son. His wife is in a wheelchair. Her sister is staying for a while. Uncle Mitch visits now and then. A black family have moved into the neighborhood and aren't made to feel welcome. I was trying to see what the relevance was of having the Myers family. Plenty of death. It is an eclectic film. You may have seen Mom And Dad. Satirises surbaban life in America. An exceptional cast of actors. The police are investigating. Cert 15. There is real footage used in some scenes. I will look at the trivia section on IMDB. Fascinating location. Blackmail, violence and revenge are themes visited. Special features include commentary, soundtrack, cast and behind the scenes. Worth a look. So who lives in a house like this? David it's over to you.

A movie based on the videogame. Alicia Vikander plays Lara Croft. Her dad went off looking for a treasure never to return. This is an origin story. Lara isn't in a big mansion. She is working like a Deliveroo rider. See her boxing at her local gym. Music soundtrack may appeal to you. Dominic West plays her dad. There is the Himiko project. A few familiar faces: Nick Frost, Kristin Scott Thomas, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Derek Jacobi, Jaime Winstone. Great stunt work. Action adventure. Cert 12. Warner Bros 2018. Lara is on her way to an inhibited island off the coast of Japan.
Alicia is attractive. There are the squeals and groans that she makes that are nice. Great effects and cast of actors. I played the original game and it's sequel on the PlayStation. I remember one level set at the Opera House. I killed all the bad guys and was unable to complete the level. Some creepy stuff. When certain characters turn up I had had an inkling about what they would do. It is worth checking out. Special features are a behind the scenes documentary.

The Woman Who Fell To Earth. New cast of actors. More poc featured. I know some bellends will take issue to that. No opening credits. The theme it different to previous ones. It has a little nod to the classic series. The assistants all have a back story. What an entrance for Thirteen. A mysterious creature what I would liken to the machines in The Matrix and aliens in The Darkest Hour has appeared in Sheffield. Makes a change from Cardiff and London. Meanwhile a pod has appeared by the hillside. This alien that we'll call Tim Shaw is sort of like the Predator. Out to collect a human trophy. The soundtrack is new. The series is quite dark. Ryan is a warehouse worker. Graham and his nan Grace are married. They'd come to visit him. Yaz is a policewoman. The Doctor after a regeneration is trying to figure things out. The TV has abit of a buzzing noise. My mum is talking to herself. I could look at Twitter. Also see the reaction videos on Youtube. The end credits also showcase actors appearing in future episodes. Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, Sharon D Clarke.

MOM AND DAD. Starring Nicolas Cage, Selma Blair, Anne Winters. Zackary Arthur. Olivia Crocicchia. Brionne Davis. Samantha Lemole. Lance Henriksen.
Some of the female cast are hot. Kendell, her daughter Molly, the best friend Riley and the blonde milf. There were some nice tits in a flashback scene. You might also like
The soundtrack ain't bad. It is a comedy horror. A mysterious illness has taken hold of America. The adults become psychopaths and are out to harm their children. Plenty of violence. Good humour. I like the teacher. All the cast were superb. The ending was ambiguous. This film will be controversial to some. You may be offended. The way the costumes and opening sequence made it seem retro. There will be questions. There is a nod to Taxi Driver. I did find Joshua annoying.
Make sure that you check it out. There is a Q&A with the cast and creator.

Val Kilmer, Chris O'Donnell, Jim Carrey, Tommy Lee Jones, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, Michael Gough, Pat Hingle.
Directed by Joel Schumacher, produced by Tim Burton. The third film. Comical and action packed. Different to the previous films. Batman now has to face Harvey Dent aka Two-Face and Edward Nigma aka The Riddler. I didn't think much to Dr. Chase Meridian. Colourful cinematography and costumes. Bruce Wayne has taken in Dick Grayson after a tragedy. The actors get to camp it up. You will like the soundtrack. Seal-Kiss From A Rose is a great song. There is a new CW series to be made called Batwoman.

Batman And Robin starring George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell, Michael Gough, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman, Donald Glover, Elle MacPherson, Alicia Silverstone. Directed by Joel Schumacher. Some inspiration from the TV series. Comical superhero film. There would not be another Batman film until Batman Begins. People did moan that it killed the franchise. Some parts the actors would dub over as it happens in film making. Starts of with the caped crusaders going on a mission. Nice theatrical scene. The ice skating henchmen playing hockey. Mr. Freeze is there to steel a diamond. Bane is created from a super soldier serum. A local scientist that is an environmentalist is transformed during an accident into Poison Ivy. Uma looks good here. Good references. Using special effects. Some jokes. The dialogue could work in the classic Bond films. This DVD is two discs. The second has special features. The Batmobile has been given a makeover. Alfred is dying. His niece has come to visit. Batgirl joins the team. It is a great cast. Tom Hardy's portrayal of Bane is better. I am selling this DVD on eBay.
Nice soundtrack.

I have a particular set of skills

The Commuter starring Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga. I like the theme music played on the dvd menu. I saw a trailer for Yardie which is produced by Idris Elba and Shane Meadows I believe. Also You Were Never Really Here which stars Joaquin Phoenix. I am going to rent that. He will be playing The Joker in an origin story. Anyhow back to the film.

Interesting how the film was edited. Showing the various days that Michael travels to and from work. Some familiar faces. Sam Neill plays a Captain of the police force, Patrick Wilson is a cop and best friend of Michael. Shoutout to the extras and minor characters. Michael is an insurance seller that has been made redundant. You might like Falling Down. He meets a mysterious woman named Joanna that asks him to take part in an experiment. Action thriller. I had watched Non Stop and this is in a similar vein. Farmiga and Wilson starred together in The Conjuring. I knew that something was up as soon as he bumped into a guy. Colin McFarlane was in Batman Begins. Letitia Wright also stars. More cast members. You may have seen Source Code, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Phonebooth, Money Monster, The Cold Light Of Day, the Saw films. Expect plot twists. Worth taking a look at this film. "What kind of person are you?" Cert 15. Studiocanal 2018. Bonus features: making of and interview.

A romantic comedy drama directed by Guillermo Del Toro. Set in 1962. Sally Hawkins plays a mute cleaner named Elisa. She works in a government lab. Zelda is her friend and colleague. They are cleaners. Richard Jenkins is her gay neighborhour. There is prejudice which was around at that time. Michael Shannon is an agent that bought in this merman. His wife has nice boobs as does Eliza. There is nudity. Opposites attract. I wondered how things would work. This film had won an Oscar. The soundtrack might be to your taste. Michael Stuhlbarg plays a scientist and Doug Jones as the merman. You may have seen Del Toro's other films. They are unique. You might like Wes Anderson, M Knight Shyamalan. Cert 15. The DVD which I borrowed from the library was skipping in one scene. I will look at trivia, discussions and reactions. I recommend that you take a look. Great cast, dialogue and special effects. Not sure why Eliza masturbates in the bath and the Agent washes his hands before using the urinal but not after. See the ads that I have placed. Be sure to link my blog everywhere.

Constantine starring Keanu Reeves, Shia LeBeouf, Rachel Weisz, Tilda Swinton, Gavin Rossdale, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Stormare, Jesse Ramirez, Max Baker, Pruitt Taylor Vince. A supernatural horror based on the DC comic book. I enjoyed the film and the game. I have read one graphic novel. Yet to see the TV series. Lots of special features. The Spear Of Destiny has been found after so long. A detective has lost her sister. John is busy carrying out exorcisms. The demons are trying to break into the mortal plain. Surprises and scares are plenty. Good action and special effects. Worth taking a look. There is an excellent scene on an empty street just after the detective leaves John's apartment. One cringey moment "finger licking good". I blogged about this film before. With the game there are cheats. One activated, go crazy. If you like GTA then you'll like this. See the reviews. I am watching an old film called The Wolfman. I couldn't find any mention of it on this blog. Well it is a Gothic horror starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving, Art Malik. Lawrence is a theatre actor. His sister in law has come for help as her husband is missing. Lawrence visits his estranged father. An inspector from Scotland Yard is here to investigate the brutal killings done the werewolf. Set in the English countryside. Some scenes in London. Good effects, acting, dialogue and music. Worth taking a look. Cert 15. Contains gore and violence. Expect scares and surprises.
