OCULUS Karen Gillan

Warner Bros 2014. Inteprid Pictures 5051892174237. Cert 15 horror starring the former Doctor Who companion. She now stars in the US show Selfie and appears in series 3 of A Touch Of Cloth. This DVD I borrowed from the library. You might also like Mirrors, The Possession, Insidious, The Grudge 3. I have a few DVDs for sale at Amazon. Please see my recent blog posts for more info. It features the trailer for Annabelle. The film opens with young Tim and Kaylie. They'd found a good lookalike for Karen. The parents have been murdered. It's a dream that Tim now a grown man is discussing with his psychiatrist. Tim was convicted. Now he is being released. His sister Kaylie works at an auction house. She is convinced of his innocence. See the ad below which will take you to the Amazon site. Her fiance Michael is played by an actor from One Tree Hill. The brother slightly resembles Matt Smith. Gillan does a good american accent. There is the Lasser Glass. An antique mirror that may hold a supernatural entity. Once owned by the Russell family. Kaylie had been tracking it down. Flashback to 11 years earlier. Katie Sackoff plays the mother Marie. Also see her in Haunting In Connecticut 2 and White Noise: The Light. Alan is the father that purchased the mirror. Imdb for full cast. Some creepy scenes. The poster/case cover is eerie but good. Kaylie is wearing a one piece nightie. She looks good. There are some strange camera angles. Good suspense. The siblings will return to their childhood home. Worth turning the volume up. Some blink and you'll miss it moments. An experiment is to be conducted. Cameras set up. Alarm clocks ready. I recommend Ghost Adventures, Grave Encounters. A back history is given. Karen speaks quite quickly. Clever editing, haunting music. Good special effects. A good cast. See the reviews. Out to buy now.
