Christmas

I've been busy quite recently and have watched the odd dvd now and again. A week ago was Kick-Ass 2. A violent action packed movie not for kids. I watched The Hangover 3 which was funny and better than the last one. Most recently I watched The Conjuring starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. A supernatural horror. Great acting from all the cast. I did sell Black Christmas which was dull. I have the remake Black Xmas, which I believe is better. Dark Island is a sci-fi film about a team that goes to Mere Island to discover what happened to the scientists testing biochemical weapons. I believe the creator was inspired by LOST. There is a Black Smoke that attacks everyone. Also there is a viral infection. So if you like Contaigon, Castaway, Carriers, The Day then this is for you. A comedy drama set in the near future is called Robot & Frank. Frank is a pensioner suffering from dementia. His family visit him sometimes. He is given a robot as a carer/companion. They really are like the Odd Couple. Abit of a bromance. Frank Langhella, Liv Tyler, James Marsden and Susan Surrandon star. There are funny conversations between Frank and the robot. A good soundtrack too. I recommend you see it. Been reading about the comments Justine Sacco and Phil Robertson have made. They really are arseholes.

Black Xmas: the girls in this are hot. It's from the makers of Final Destination. Three cast members were in the FD series. One actor is from Rules Of Engagement. Another from Buffy. Gory horror with violence, swearing and nudity. Dylan Dog Dead Of Night staring Brandon Routh. Is a action horror about a man fighting monsters. He is a P.I. If you like Blade, Van Helsing, R.I.P.D, Constantine then you should check this out. Brandon was great as Superman. The actor that played Jimmy Olsen I believe is in this film. Vampires and other creatures live amongst humans. It was manic at work. Lots of people turned up for a free breakfast. We could've done with extra staff. Put on too many jobs at once. Got sent to Aldi. Bw was being a pain.

One pretty blonde, looked quite young. About 16. I didn't get a chance to get my timesheet signed. My brother had bought xmas gifts when he owes me money. Saw the doctor who xmas special and wondered Wtf. Not much in terms of action. Plenty of dialogue. It looked to be an interesting regeneration. Suprised at Karen Gillan cameo. That regeneration where he blasted everything out of the sky was exciting. Peter Capaldi came in swiftly. Matt got to deliver a thankyou and goodbye speech. Checkout the forums and tweets on the opinions of this episode. I had some strange dreams. One which had Gary Barlow walking with myself and a crew. He had to give the look of intent/intensity. He went upto a random middle aged woman and asked 'you don't mind if I focus on you do you?' she didn't mind. We'd left them to it and waited in another shop. Another scene I was to rescue a girl that was being chased by a car driven by Sean Connery. She eventually went with him to Scotland. The song 'There's No Other Way' played. I mentioned this to Damon Albarn later on. Previously I dreamt I was over at Liverpool's stadium which was owned by Chris Evans. Various celebrities walked out onto the pitch. The crowd cheered as Chris walked out wearing a white suit. There were three ghosts occupying this shed in the corner. I tried to ask Chris about this but got nothing. I spoke to the ghosts. One male, elderley wearing a ballerina onesie outfit. He showed me some dance moves. The two women, one was middle aged I'm not sure about the other. I'd also dreamt that I was to be on a plate waiting shift for Rouge. I needed to go home and change. I may have been at Snibston earlier. I was carrying a suitcase with me. 7.30 I was to be picked up. There are some right numbnuts that queue at a store early in the morning or near midnight for sales etc. It's daft that I emails for items that I've reviewed or owned/seen. There were a couple taking pics in Memorial Sq, Coalville. The girl was possibly Spanish, hot. Almost got herself run over.

A nice US comedy about parenthood. An all star cast that includes Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz, Chris Rock, Dennis Quaid, Rebel Wilson, Jennifer Lopez. You might like Friends With Kids, New Years Eve. Several characters. Some have little or no connection to each other. Lot's of suprises and some drama. The actor that plays Mr. Schue in Glee is in this too. There are some bonus features. It's worth checking out. Please visit my Ebay page. I read about Emily Slough, a young mother was humiliated by a Facebook user. Because she was breastfeeding her baby in public.

  I'm watching Magic Mike. The acting from some of the cast is dodgy. Alex Petyfer and girl playing his sister. The girls that Mike had a threesome with, have hot bodies. Matthew McConaughey also stars. Alex did a good impression of Arnie. I'm sure the stripclub scenes were fun to film. Plenty of enthusiasm from the women. Soundtrack is worth a listen. Paradise comes at a price

MR WOODCOCK: Sean William Scott plays a young man that used to be fat. Now a successful author. His mum is played by Susan Surandon. Billy Bob Thornton plays his former gym teacher. Amy Poehler is the agent. She played Regina's mum in Mean Girls. She is on SNL. Set in a small town. Take a look at Bad Teacher. This dvd is on sale as part of a collection. Jasper's dad in the nursing home is a funny character. Quite harsh and that explain why the gym teacher is strict. A great cast however I don't think much to this film. Ethan Suplee is the cafe worker, he helps John. He was in My Name Is Earl. I've recieved a French thriller/horror called 7 Days. It features a family. The father is Dr. Hamel. His wife is hot. The little daughter makes her way to school. She never gets there. She was raped and murdered by a sex offender. This is about torture and revenge. You may have seen The Lovely Bones. This dvd is in mint condition. I'm selling it on ebay. The Dr has devised a plan. Similar to Saw. He manages to steal the police van which has the criminal in it. I enjoyed the tv series Les Revenant. It is a slow paced drama. I expected more.
THE WICKER TREE a modern reimagining of The Wicker Man. A young christian couple from USA have gone to preach over in Scotland. Brittania Nicol and Henry Garrett. Some characters seem a little ridiculous. Some posh English folk. The Lady I recognise from Eastenders. Betty is a country singer. Christopher Lee, Honeysuckle Weeks, Jaqueline Leonard, Graham McTavish, Clive Russell also star. Robin Hardy directs/writes. I guess it's paganism vs christianity. Subtitles during the sex scene. Honeysuckle Weeks has a nice body and strange name. Best to see The Decoy Bride. Ms Nicol has a nice ass. Nice seeing more tits on display.



BLACK DEATH is a horror/drama starring Sean Bean. The plague has taken most of England. A young monk is required to guide god's soldiers to a village where the undead walk. Gory violence. See Season Of The Witch, Evil Dead 3. Different to how I expected. Still worth it.

SKINWALKERS A scifi horror based on a true story. Similar to Dark Skies. Found footage/pov style. There is an alien abduction on a farm. So an investigation crew is sent in. I'm selling this on ebay. A 2013 Signature Ent release. Cert 15. It stars Jon Gries, Erin Cahill, Devin McGinn, Steve Berg, Kyle Davis, Matt Rocheleau. I recommend The Corridor, The Big Empty, The Fourth Kind, Signs, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. An indie film. Good special effects. Set in 2010. Skinwalker Ranch. Jon G aka Hoyt Murphy was Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite. More Paranormal Activity films to be released. I google the title. There is a site which gives you the folklore info. See the ads as I've included similar films in this genre. Amazing scenery. In the middle of nowhere strange events occur. Nice suprises. The characters do keep a video diary. Nice song during end credits. Like the production too. It's also known as Skinwalker Ranch. Worth taking a look.


 EVIDENCE A horror of the same genre of film making. Cert 18. Four friends have gathered on a camping trip to film a documentary. Ryan Ryder Productions 2010. Ashley Bracken, Abigail Richie, Brett J Rosenberg, Ryan McCoy. There is The Blair Witch Project which started it all. The two girls are pretty. The blonde, Abi has nice tits which she showed. V/H/S 1-2 were great films. Also see roadtrip film Skew. Slight humour in these films. It has Resident Evil, 28 Days Later element to it. Something dangerous in the woods. Gore and violence in some scenes. End credits are scrambled. I'd bought the wrong film as there is a similar film with the same title starring Radha Mitchell.

PHANTOMS. I enjoyed it the last time I watched it. Younger viewers may like this. Similar to The Thing, Silent Hill, Vanishing On 7th Street. A sci-fi horror starring Peter O'Toole, Ben Affleck, Liev Shreiber, Rose McGowan, Joanna Going. Dimensions Films 1998, widescreen region 2. Cert 15. Snowfield a small town becomes a ghost town. Two sisters have arrived back home. There is a town sherrif, the deputy and a professor. Together they must figure out what is going on. Great suprises and special effects. It's based on a book of the same name.

I'm watching PRIMER. A sci-fi film. Just wondering what is happening with the garbled conversation. These scientists have created a device which breaks the laws of psychics. I recommend Repeaters, Triangle, Time Runners, Donnie Dark, Southland Tales, Another Earth. The music seems nice. I'm assuming there is time travel to this story. I fell asleep. I begin to understand what's happening. Two men travelling back in the time machine which is being kept in a garage. They then do some meddling and hideout in a hotel room. Then travel back to the present. Chaos theory, casuality, paradoxes at play here. You may have seen The Time Machine, The Butterfly Effect. Alot of dialogue between the main characters. The conversations are recorded, listened to then repeated as if spoken for the first time. Someone else has been travelling and caused Abe and Aaron some trouble. The film ends suddenly. I've just wasted my money. I'm listening to the audio commentary. I also found a blog which gives some info and it includes spoilers. See the Amazon review.

  The Haunting In Connecticut 2: Ghosts Of Georgia. Special effects are good. The two women in this are hot. I'm selling this soon. Katee Sackhoff stars. It's interesting. Based on a true story. Good music. The little girl did great. Plenty of suprises and twists. The father of the family is the actor from One Tree Hill. Bonus features deleted scenes, outtakes. I'm watching AUTOPSY. It's a love story of sorts. An indie film. You have Charlie. A coroner/morician that isn't too bright. He is married to a long suffering wife named Mary. The acting is interesting. Jane Doe is the dead pretty woman on the slab. There was a drug user that died and whilst checking out her body. She had some nice tits. Dale is the boss played by Joe Estevez. I'm not sure why Charlie has to pay for the corpses. You might like After.Life starring Christina Ricci. This is filmed like they used to do with classic Doctor Who. I'm talking about the camera work really. See the Amazon reviews. Seemed ridiulous at the start wit multiple deaths. I watched Cabin Fever 3 which has just been released. Sean Astin is Patient Zero. Possibly where the viral infection started. He is immune to it. He is taken onto this facility.The blonde scientist is hot. You have another set of characters that are on a batchelor party on a boat. The girl Penny has nice tits. It's gory with shock twists and surprises. At this moment in time i would be having a bulk dvd sale on ebay. Speaking of the deceased i have a tribute site to L'Wren Scott. I watched The Saphires. Based on a true story about a 60s soul group. The girls are Aboriginals and the manager is played by Chris O'Dowd. A good aussie comedy. Plenty of good music. You might like Dreamgirls, Pitch Perfect. There were the issues of racism and sexism that are tackled. I enjoyed The Lincoln Lawyer. Mathew McConaughey is a lawyer that's a little shady. Marisa Tomei is his ex. Ryan Phillipe is a client. A great cast, good acting. A thriller for you to see. You might like Arbitrage. Matt has been in plenty of good dramas. Observe And Report, a comedy set in a US shopping mall. Seth Rogen is head of security. A pervert has been flashing. Asis Anzari, Anna Faris star. Good bunch of characters. Ray Liotta is a cop investigating. Sarah the shoes sales rep is hot. Good music. See Mall Cop. Michael Pena is good. I'm selling this.

STAKE LAND

Cert 15. Horror. Vampires. Starring Nick Damici and Connor Paolo. Special features contain two commentaries. I've rented this from Blockbuster. You might also like Daybreakers, 30 Days Of Night, From Dusk Till Dawn, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. An impressive start. There is a vampire attack as expected. The US is pretty much gone to hell like Zombieland and The Walking Dead. Nice music, folk and classical. There is a nice busty barmaid in this town that they've just stopped of at. There was a warning about cannibals. Other good vampire slayers are Buffy, James Woods in a John Carpenter film, Priest. There is a nun that's joined them. Mister saved her from some rapists. A grave was dug for a vampire. Jebidiah Logan and his gang are intent on revenge. The actress playing the nun was in The Innkeepers. Brutal, violent and gory scenes. A vampire in a Santa Claus outfit. There is a pretty young girl that joins the gang and she can sing too. There is the Christian Brotherhood that will kill other humans.This is definetly worth a watch. At the time of writing I have several items for sale on Ebay and Amazon. Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Ron Livingston. Comedy drama, indie film with a big cast. Lots of improvising. Mainly dialogue in these scenes. May not be to everyone's taste. Olivia and Anna look hot. There is a scene where Olivia is nude. Cert 15 2013. Kate works at a craft brewery with Luke. She tends to eat and drink alot but is always in shape. There is quite abit of drinking. Must play hell with the liver. Kate's boyfriend Chris and Luke's fiance Jill are more sophisticated. While the other two act like slobs. There is a platonic friendship. Sometimes you wonder if they'll date or not. Kate can be annoying. If you like Sideways you might enjoy this. There are special features: commentary, outtakes and deleted scenes, interviews, behind the scenes. It's available to buy everywhere. Jake Johnson is often in the sitcom New Girl. Anna Kendrick was excellent in Pitch Perfect. Ti West does star too. As does Wilde's real life boyfriend. Written/directed by Joe Swanberg. Nice scenery. Cool brewery. Slow paced. It's part of the Mumblecore genre.

With his help he can devise an escape plan. Other prison films that I recommend are Shawshank Redemption, Life, Fortress, The Last Castle, Con Air, Escape From Alcatraz. See the tv shows OZ and Prison Break. Plenty of special features. Good amount of violence. Cert 15, 2013 release. Jim Caviezel, Amy Ryan, 50 Cent, Vinnie Jones also star. I expect some jokes along the way. See the trailer. Most crime films always have the protagonist on 'one last job'. Fans of The Expendables, Oceans Eleven, Tower Heist might like this. There are plot twists. Arnie no longer the govenor has returned to acting.
speaks some German. The prison boss is a handsome and powerful man. Sam Neil plays a doctor. The wardens wear black and have masks. You learn a few things thanks to the dialogue. The leads are the oldest cast members. Tougher than Alcatraz.

Remake of the original (Sissy Spacek). The front cover looks good. Cert 15, Julianne Moore stars. Based on the novel by Stephen King. A horror film about a teenage girl that is an outcast. She has telekenetic powers. She is a great actress, see Let Me In, Kick-Ass, Movie 43. Directed by Kimberley Pierce. Gory in places. Some hot teens. Abit like Mean Girls, Case 39. The mother is a religious extremist and abusive. There is a pe teacher that wants to help Carrie. Chrissie is the arch rival. Two bonus features: one is a making of, the other is a coffee shop surprise. You'll googling explanations and maybe seeing youtube vids. Supernatural element. Carrie is pretty. Sue is a girl that is feeling regretful. Prom is on it's way. An eclectic soundtrack. A good cast. Please take a look. Saw some trailers. One had a dubstep track with no speaking. Had Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman on it. The other is a mob comedy like Analyse That, We're The Millers. The Family, stars Robert DeNiro, Diana Agron who is hot.

Cert 12, SciFi action, Just watched it with my brothers at the Odeon, Loughborough. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo etc are back. James Spader was great as Ultron. A great look and dry sense of humour. Some comedy along way. Loud action scenes. The team have to get Loki's staff. Stark, Banner and Jarvis looked to use the power of the gem for a new machine that will protect the world. Elizabeth Olsen looked good. I noticed one citizen with her breasts almost falling out of her dress. There will be a further film. Superb special effects. The trailers before the film were interesting. New James Bond film Spectre. Terminator Genesis is what I intend to watch. Directed by Joss Whedon. Jon Favreau was a producer. Plenty of violence and some swearing. There were young kids in the audience. It was good to see Paul Bettany. The new Star Wars film is out now.

THE POSSESSION
Apparently based on a true story. You can find that story on series 1 of Paranormal Witness. Its from Sam Raimi. Who also made Evil Dead, Spiderman, Drag Me To Hell. You might like Insidious, Sinister. Crazy opening scene with the old lady. Dibbuk is part of Jewish folklore. The lead character played by some actor that looks familiar. He just picked up his daughter from his ex wife's house. There is an old film called Polterguist for you younger folk that weren't around then. If you like films with eerie children then this is for you. Also The Ring 2.The Omen, Orphan, Mirrors. Good effects. See the trailer. Haunting In Connecticut 2, Last Exorcism 2, Paranormal Activity 5 will be out this year. Rented this copy from the Library. Blockbuster don't even have it. The remake of Evil Dead will be in cinemas later this year. Mass infestation. Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark. This is an uncut edition. Cert 15. Distrubuted by Lionsgate. Pretty teens yet annoying.
The box is cursed. Great acting from the young girl Emily.
