Keanu Reeves · Laurence Fishburne · George Georgiou · Lance Reddick · Clancy Brown · Ian McShane · Marko Zaror · Bill Skarsgård - Hiroyuki Sanada - Shamier Anderson - Donnie Yen - Rina Sawayama.
John Wick Chapter 4 from Lionsgate. The final film. Action Thriller. Saw this at the cinema.
John is still on the run. He has his sights on The High Table. They have sent The Harbinger. Closing down operations at the hotel. Putting Winston and Charon out of a job. The Marquis has arrived. He wants Wick dead. Caine has been hired to kill John. There is a Tracker that wants the money and offers his services. Plenty of action. With one scene you could see the choreography and stunt work it was obvious. Misfires and how characters are not dead. Some bad guys had been suited with body armour. There is a scene later on which is impressive due to how creative the kills were. The card game scene was good. The boss has good moves on him. John has enlisted the help of old friends. Impressive cinematography. Nice soundtrack. Lance Reddick has only just passed away. Great acting and special effects. There is a post credits scene. There is talk of spin offs. There will be trivia to look at. Some questions are being asked. Worth taking a look. The whole series was good. Eva Longoria was a producer and backer for the first film. I had seen her at a shift that I worked at.
I did find the view obscured from this blonde sitting in the front. A bit of chatter from the side.
I am rewatching The Butterfly Effect trilogy. The first one released in 2004. Starring Ashton Kutcher, Melora Walters, Amy Smart, Elden Henson, William Lee Scott. It is a scifi drama. Kutcher's best work. It focuses on abuse. Good soundtrack. I like the editing and acting. You may have seen The Time Traveller's Wife, The Time Machine, Quantum Leap, Back To The Future, About Time, Donnie Darko, Timeline, Timeless. This has a love story at the centre of it. The time travel aspect will attract most. Chaos Theory is where you could change one thing and a random chain of events can occur. Evan is a young man that had been having blackouts as a child. He starts a journal. Upon reading an entry he will be transported back that year in his own body. He tries to see what he can do to make things better. Altering the course of history. Worth taking a look at all of the films. Eric Stoltz was originally in Back To The Future. However this is the time travel film that he gets to be in.
The Butterfly Effect 2
With the second film you have Nick, an employee of a tech company. Having to deal with potential investors. He is with his girlfriend and two friends. Having a picnic. A car accident happens. Nick can travel through time by focusing on photographs. The actresses have nice breasts. The sex scenes are unnecessary. It acknowledged the first film. I do question as to how all the characters from the trilogy are connected. Why they can time travel. Eric Lively, Erica Durance, Dustin Milligan, Gina Holden, David Lewis. Good soundtrack. I wonder why they bothered with sequels.
The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations. Chris Carmack, Rachel Miner, Melissa Jones, Kevin Yon, Lynch R. Travis. Sam is a psychic working for the police. His method of time travel is different. No longer having nosebleeds or headaches. His sister Jenna has an apartment. His girlfriend was murdered. Her hot sister had come to visit. She believed the man on death row to be innocent. Interesting soundtrack. Nice rack on the barmaid.
A few pretty actresses. Goldburg is a guide/friend to Sam. Only he and Jenna know about the time jumps. Having already seen this film I view it differently. Good actors. There is a continuity error near end. The shoe is off the foot. Back on and off again.
The Angel Investigations team is stunned when the Senior Partners of Wolfram and Hart give them control of the L.A. office. The gang quickly moves in, and although everyone is delighted at the amazing resources they now have at their command, they can’t stop wondering what the catch is.
Cast: David Boreanaz, Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards, Andy Hallett.
Season 5 Angel. I had watched previous seasons and also Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The opening credits does feature a returning character that is a surprise cameo. I can't quite remember what episodes that I have seen. As the team are now working at Wolfram And Heart who they were once up against. The lady being the liason between the two groups is pretty. I am not sure about Fred. Didn't like Connor much. Joss Whedon is producer. See the camera lingering on the legs of Amy. You can spot the problematic behaviour. Harmony is working here now. Started off with a gangster threatening the whole city if he was to be found guilty on trial. Two former cast members have passed away. This was a good show. I was tempted to skip to certain episodes. One of the actors playing a scientist was in Buffy. He was a vampire. The theme is Sanctuary by Darling Violetta. It is pretty much a grey area. So this season takes place after the final Buffy season. There were the comic books that continued the story. I feel that I may have seen these episodes. Looking at the character of Nina Ash. Attractive, young blonde. Camera starts off at the feet and goes up the legs. She was naked at some point. Through her top you can see the nipples poke through. She was even hosed down with water. Definitely whoever wrote this wanted it this way. Buffy series would not go that far. Maybe for an adult audience. If either show was released today the antisjw weirdos would call it woke and want it cancelled. There are cameos. I recognised an actor from season one. Danielle Nicolet was in this as she is currently in The Flash. Cordelia looking hot. Harmony is a good character. She will be a fan favourite like Regina George and Elle Woods. Illyria is a fox. You have the episode set in Italy. The accents are hammed up. The ceo there has nice tits.
Cast: Daniel Craig, Lakeith Stanfield, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Christopher Plummer, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Jaeden Lieberher, Katherine Langford, Don Johnson, Riki Lindhome, Raúl Castillo, Shyrley Rodriguez, Noah Segan.
I watched Knives Out, a mystery drama by Rian Johnson. Set in modern day America. Looking at these stately homes which most would have been build from slavery. On colonised land. That is America. On his 85th birthday. A legendary author and millionaire Harlan Thrombey is found dead. Two detectives are called to the scene. The private investigator Benoit Blanc is hired to assist the detectives. You are given hints as to motives of certain characters. It keeps you guessing. I had accidentally seen some spoiler way before. A star studded cast. The family that live at the house, visiting relatives, the house staff and nurse are suspects. Majority of the family are conservatives. You have a few liberals. A satirical look at the rich. The haves and have nots. One of the protagonists Marta is the nurse that had always been helping the deceased. Her mother is an undocumented immigrant. See how some people treat her. Great cast of actors. Interesting soundtrack. Wonder how much practice Daniel had with his accent. His time as 007 was over as was Chris playing Captain America. This was Ana's breakout role. Good dialogue. Christopher has also played a rich father in All The Money In The World and The Lake House. Ransom is egotistical and arrogant. Beth is a student, a liberal. There is the young son Jacob who is apparently part of the altright. Walt is a good character. He gets to run the publishing company. Quite a few characters for you to get to know. I will watch Glass Onion. I recommend Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, Murder She Wrote, Columbo, Monk, Clue.
Glass Onion starring Daniel Craig · Benoit Blanc ; Edward Norton · Miles Bron ; Kate Hudson · Birdie Jay ; Dave Bautista · Duke Cody ; Janelle Monáe · Andi Brand ; Leslie Odom Jr. - Lionel Toussaint.
A sequel to Knives Out. Set during the pandemic in 2020. Blanc has been looking for work. Everyone is in lock down. An impressive puzzle box is sent a few people. I was impressed by the special effects. Shout out to the props department. Miles is a billionaire and has his own island. He is having a murder mystery weekend and his old friends are invited. Guests include a politician, a model/actress/influencer with personal assistant, scientist, redpilled alpha male streamer with his girlfriend, a former business partner and the detective. Great cast of actors. You should see their individual works. Nice soundtrack. You will get flashback scenes. Miles has a secret connection with each of them. They have a reason to cause him harm. The women are hot. Whisky and Birdie in their bikinis especially. Monae and Craig stole the show. One speech did remind me of Fight Club. This film triggered Ben Shapiro.
The Banshees Of Inisherin. Colin Farrell · Pádraic Súilleabháin ; Brendan Gleeson · Colm Doherty ; Kerry Condon · Siobhán Súilleabháin ; Barry Keoghan - Dominic. A comedy drama set on an island just off the coast of Ireland. It is 1923. There is a civil war happening on the mainland. What I first noticed was the amazing scenery thanks to the cinematography. Interesting location. I believe that tourists will flock there. This film will win awards. Nice soundtrack consisting of classical and folk music. Great cast of actors. The way they riff off each other. The accent is strong. You do feel for the characters. Colin had the standout performance. I had watched Calvary which starred Brendan. That's why I decided to see this. You will also be familiar with Ballykissangel and Father Ted. I have always wanted to visit Ireland. Go to a village. There is minimal special effects. Kerry is attractive. Pádraic is a farmer, a nice guy and lives with his sister Siobhán. She is smart and caring. He has a friend named Colm that is a musician. But one day Colm has decided that he no longer wants to be friends. I know the feeling as I haven't had any contact with a few people. He is a miserable bugger. He does warn him to stay away. Pádraic is relentless and annoys him. There is the local police officer who is pretty shady, he has a son named Dominic who is a trouble maker. I have had thoughts about the mysterious Mrs McCormick. An elderly woman that is always present in certain places. What does she represent? There was some foreshadowing and so I predicted correctly what would happen to one character. Was there more to the friendship than was let on? I like the pub. Great landlord. Sweet, quaint. I did think about how the film ended. Maybe it could have been better. But overall it is a good film. There will be trivia and discussions. Showing on Disney Plus but will be available elsewhere.
In Bruges is a comedy drama by Martin McDonagh. This was his debut. You will like Calvary and The Banshees Of Inisherin. Some of the dialogue will offend. Two hitman have been sent by their boss to Bruges. Call it a holiday/getaway. Colin Farrell and Dominic Gleeson are together in this film as they would be later on in another film. Ralph Feinnes looking handsome and in shape. Plays another villain. The women featured are pretty especially Marie, Chloe and the prostitutes. Ken is mature, has been working for a long time, he likes the scenery. You might too. I am sure tourism was at a high since the film was released. Ray is young, gets bored easily, loves the women and hates this city. Harry is a terrifying man and a cunt. He is keeping tabs on the lads. Marie owns the hotel the lads are staying at. Chloe works on a film set. Jimmy is an actor, a dwarf and remember him from the trailer. Interesting cinematography. Good soundtrack. There is plenty of violence, gore, drug use and swearing. I am interested to see what the next film will be like. All great actors from the main cast to the extras. There will be trivia and discussions about the film. Worth checking out once you have seen this film. I try not to include too much as it will spoil the film. Similar films would be Seven Psychopaths, Bullet Train, John Wick. Anyway if you want to find anything that I have done then look for Solitarymaninblack.
Quantum Leap 2022. A reboot/sequel to the original show.
Raymond Lee
Caitlin Bassett
Mason Alexander Park
Nanrisa Lee
Ernie Hudson
Georgina Reilly
Takes place 30 years after the original. I hadn't realised the original was set in 1995. This is set in 2022. The project has been reinstated. Ben Song is the protagonist. He uses to the machine and takes a
leap into the unknown. Addison is his hot fiancé. She is on the team. She is a hologram helping Ben in the past. They acknowledge what happened in the original. Worth checking both shows out. Mixed reviews. I know some antisjw are probably whining. The special effects can be questionable. I do wonder if Scott Bakula will reprise his role. Ben has suffered amnesia. He is in the middle of a heist. He will have to help people in order to move on. I could see some reaction channels watching this. Trivia and discussion will be looked at. Cast are familiar. Dedicated to Dean Stockwell. Soundtrack is good. Great acting, costumes and sets. You might also like Timeless, Doctor Who, Outlander, La Brea, Loki.
Timeless season 2. Starring Abigail Spencer, Malcolm Barrett, Matt Lanter, Goran Visnjic, Claudia Doumit. I watched season 1 on TV when it was originally shown. The protagonists were working for an agency hunting down members of Rittenhouse. A terrorist organisation that will change history for their own means. Pretty women in the show. Time travel drama. You might also like Quantum Leap. I never cared for the romance element. It was more real when dealing with discrimination. You will recognise some of the actors. Lucy is a historian. Rittenhouse want to recruit her. Wyatt is a soldier and then you have Rufus the scientist. Good show.
Cast: Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, John Bell
Outlander is a Netflix TV series based on the books. Slow paced. Good soundtrack by Bear Mccreary. Starts off in 1945. A nurse and history teacher named Claire and Frank are on a holiday together. They come to Inverness in Scotland. Interesting filming locations. Nice buildings. There is that one scene where she is having her fortune read. But anyway I didn't care for the sex scenes though the actress is pretty with a nice body. It is nearly Halloween. There's a group of people near a stone circle performing a ritual. Somehow Claire is transported back in time to 1743. The Scottish and English are at war. She is with a group of warriors. Jamie is one that she helps and I know that they will have a relationship. There are questions as to how she got there. What will happen to her future. An ancestor of Frank is there. The timeline could change. Has she already lived this life and we will see what impact was made? Some sort of paradox. Maybe this is all happening for the first time. Interested to see discussions and trivia. There are 7 seasons. The lead actress had left and they would bring in a new one. You might also like Doctor Who, Highlander, Braveheart, The Time Machine, Timeless, Quantum Leap, Outlander film. I recommend the books of Stephen Baxter.
Paul Walker, Matt Craven, Cas Anvar, David Thewlis, Rossif Sutherland, Billy Connolly, Michael Sheen, Anna Friel, Gérard Butler, Neal McDonough.
Timeline is a scifi adventure film from 2003. There is a team of archeologists in France. Making a few discoveries. Meanwhile in the US there is the ITC corporation. They have a time machine. The wormhole leads to 1357. The professor had gone missing and now his son and colleagues must go back to rescue him. There is a war between the French and English. Kate is kinda annoying. This was the first film with Gérard Butler that I saw. You will recognise some faces. If you like The Time Machine, Outlander, Doctor Who, Timeless, Braveheart, Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves then you might like this. A good film. Might not have been seen by many. Based on the novel by Michael Crichton and directed by Richard Donner. Good soundtrack. I didn't care for the romance. I will recommend the film to reaction channels on YouTube.
Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Evan Rachel Wood, Tessa Thompson, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, Anthony Hopkins, Aaron Paul, Simon Quarterman, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Jimmi Simpson.
I started watching Westworld. A scifi drama based on the classic movie. I had seen elements of the film. Michael Crichton created this. He is also responsible for Jurassic Park. Set in the far future. A theme park in America. It has a western theme. Majority of it's population are robots. They are called Hosts. You have Guests, the human tourists coming to the park. They can do whatever they like. The concept is fascinating. There are many attractive women. Nice tits. Plenty of nudity. Plenty of good actors. Extras also do a good job. Much respect to the Hosts. Good special effects. You might like the soundtrack. The music is fairly modern but is recreated to suit the scenes in the show. Adult themes are discussed. The Hosts are beginning to glitch. It is a long episode. One hell of an opening. Seeing the Hosts become self aware. The Guests seem to be the cruel ones. I am reminded of The Truman Show, Jurassic Park, Free Guy, The Matrix, Hostel, Groundhog Day. You might also like Ex Machina, The Machine, Terminator, Robocop, Archive, Tau, IRobot, A.I, Big Bug, Chappie, Short Circuit, Lost, The Walking Dead. As you have a team of scientists at the facility monitoring the Hosts. There is a Guest called the Man In Black who seems to be having a little too much fun. One of the Hosts is Dolores, a young lady living on the farm. Her boyfriend is the doctor. Doing their daily routines. I would not really go into too much detail. You will recognise Steve Ogg who has been in GTA5. Npcs with a role to play. Anyway just take a look at the trailer.
I am catching up with Westworld season 4. Set long after last season. Life is getting back to normal. It is a futuristic setting. Look at the advanced technology. William aka the Man In Black is wanting to buy a plot of land. The people at this cartel are resistant. Meanwhile living in the city is games developer Christina. Played by Evan Rachel Wood who looks hot as always. Maeve lives out in the countryside. Caleb is at home with his wife and kid. Works a 9-5. Some man is stalking Christine. The gang of men have arrived to kill Maeve. Great acting and effects. The soundtrack is always good. It could have been filmed during or just after the pandemic. You do see some people wearing masks. I saw that graffiti sign "My brain my choice" with Roe Vs Wade this might be relevant.
I have started watching season 2 of Les Revenants aka The Returned. I watched season 1 many years ago on Channel 4. I may have started season 2 back then but did not finished. Had to see how it pans out. Essentially it is a French horror drama. Set in a small village. The deceased residents have returned. They don't realise that they are dead. Want to carry on with life as normal. Some found it hard to adapt. There are a variety of characters. There was some sex and nudity. It was a good show. A few main protagonists. A young boy that is quiet and creepy. There was a serial killer on the loose. A major confrontation between the residents. You might also like La Horde, District 9, Big Bug, L'Haine, Taxi.
I started watching Werewolves Within. A horror comedy which I saw a teaser clip of. I found the dialogue and acting cringe worthy so stopped at 1h21m59 seconds left. Set in some northern town. A new Ranger has been assigned his post. A monster lurks somewhere. But anyway this film is released by Signature. The filming location was interesting.
I started watching The Privilege. A German horror film. 1 m 28 m to go. As I will be up in the morning for gym. Some creature was pursuing the children in the house. The older sister is hysterical. I remember seeing the specific bridge in some show or movie. Fast forward to the college years. The son is getting therapy. His twin sister is hot. He is invited to a party. Later sees his Grandpa. Interesting location. I listened to the original audio with subtitles. There are weird beings lurking. The family is hiding a secret. Some pretty cast members notably Sophie and Samira. There is a moderate sex scene. Pills are being given to the teens. Maybe look at trivia. Techno soundtrack. Good cast of actors. Currently on Netflix. You get to see Finn the protagonist live his daily life. See him investigate into what has been going on. They are a middle class family living in luxury. Cast.
I started watching The French Dispatch Of The Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun. As it has been a long day I stopped midway. A Wes Anderson film. Slow paced. Comedy drama. Quite surreal. A star studded cast. I stopped watching again. The cinematography is good. I do try to work out what is going on. The narrator spoke about this newspaper company. Acts like an anthology. Each story is by a different journalist. The aspect ratio is different. Some pretty women. Nice tits on show. It is mainly in black and white. Some colour scenes. Set in 1920s to 70s. There is a prisoner that is an artist. The one woman working here is his muse. The art dealer has shown great interest in him. There are humorous moments. Each scene or camera shot looks like a fine art painting. Some shots where the people are frozen in position. Lingering looks towards the camera. To the people that don't know his work it will be confusing and boring. It is on Disneyplus. I may look at reviews and discussions if I can be bothered. Some cast members have returned to work with Wes. Another chapter has a journalist following a youth activist movement. Then you have a TV interview with a food critic. Events take place in a fictional French city. The soundtrack is nice. Clever dialogue. Wes is definitely an artist. I had seen Adrien Brody at a shift that I worked at in 2011.
You might also like The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums, Midnight In Paris.
Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Benicio Del Toro, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Elisabeth Moss, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Henry Winkler, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Liev Schreiber, Edward Norton, Lois Smith, Christoph Waltz, Cécile De France, Guillaume Galliene, Jason Schwartzman, Tony Revolori, Rupert Friend, Bob Balaban, Hippolyte Girardot, Anjelica Huston, and Wally Wolodarsky.
I watched V/H/S/94. It is sequel. Part of the VHS series. All found footage. Indie amateur film. They are an anthology. Different film makers come together to produce a horror short. Some reason I felt that I had watched it before. It was released in 2021. Impressed with the special visual effects, acting, set design. All original stories. I recommend that you also see the previous films, also The ABCs Of Death, The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield. The found footage style hasn't been used in years. The main story involves a swat team going to a cult's hideout. Other stories involve a news report, an advert, these American survivalists, a mad scientist. Mixed reviews on Shudder.
I watched Rec 4: Apocalypse. A Spanish horror film. I recommend the other Rec and Quarantine films. You will have seen Resident Evil, World War Z, 28 Days Later. It was released in 2014. I wasn't sure if had seen it then. So rented it in 2022. A few people that were in the infected zones are now on board a large ship. Angela is the TV news reporter. You have some Swat/soldiers, the crew, the grandmother from a wedding and scientists. There is this great rock song that plays. Angela looks great. Very gory and violent. The virus was described as being demonic. An outbreak happens and the cast must do what they can to survive.
I finally took a dive and watched Malignant. The trailer doesn't reveal too much but as the film went on I was guessing the back story of the characters. Maddie is a woman living in Seattle. You even see the origins of the villain Gabriel. Maddie is in an abusive relationship. Has suffered miscarriages. She is pregnant and a house invasion happens. You have her actor sister that comes to visit. She has visions of when Gabriel attacks his victims. The detective Kekoa assigned to the case is a handsome man and I thought he would have chemistry with the sister Sydney. He is with his partner Regina. In one scene he is pretty bad ass. With the twists revealed later are kind of fucked up. The forensics, evidence woman seems to be obsessed with the detective. James Wan is a great film maker. You will have seen the Saw and Insidious films. Impressive effects. Good cast of actors. You might like the soundtrack. I like the opening theme music which is When your walls fall by Celldweller.
There are trivia on imdb to look at. With the discussions most likely focus on certain characters. What would happen after the end of the film? On YouTube as the trailer was clicked on, further below in the recommendations were videos about the ending. Stupid even to have it there. Annabelle Wallis stars. I have only seen a few things that she was in. From a scene in the film which shows the underground town beneath modern Seattle I am interested to find out more. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3811906/fullcredits/cast?ref_=m_ttfc_3
Countdown is a horror movie. I watched it on Netflix. It has been out for a few years. There is an app available for download on the app store. It is called Countdown. There user must obey the terms and conditions. It predicts when a person will die. Starts off with a group of friends at a party using the app. Our protagonist is a new nurse called Quinn. She downloaded it out of curiosity as some of these characters do. I also find that when there seems to be a threat you don't go towards it. Anyway she is given 3 days and she wants to prevent the inevitable. Impressive visual effects. I am reminded of Final Destination, The Ring, Happy Death Day, Truth Or Dare, Nerve, Candyman, Hellbound. It is a good film. I like the soundtrack. Elizabeth Lail is hot. You will recognise Matt Lescher. Surprised to see Tom Segura.
I have watched Archive. A scifi drama. I believe that I may have seen it before. Written and directed by Gavin Rothery. Impressive special effects and acting. A scientist and inventor named George is living at a laboratory in Japan. An attractive cast too. His wife had passed away some time ago. Her consciousness is stored in this giant computer. He had been building robots as to try and bring her back to life. An impressive soundtrack. There is his boss that is keeping him in check. You have J1 that has a mind of a child. J2 that is like a teenager and J3 that is the adult version. The actress plays Jules and various versions of her. You do feel for the characters. Good robotics and puppeteering. J3 is made humanoid however I prefer her in a robotic look. In the bar scene. The Assessor has his cigar in his mouth. He goes to hand George a photo. Cut to a wide shot the cigar is in his hand. Back to close up and the cigar is in his mouth. I remember Theo in the Divergent series and Rhona cosplayed Lara Croft.
There are outsiders that may try to get to the secrets. You might also like Robocop, Terminator, Chappie, Short Circuit, Transcendence, The Machine, I Am Mother, Blade Runner, Ex Machina, The Matrix, Humans. Theo James, Stacy Martin, Toby Jones, Lia Williams, Karen Gagnon, Richard Glover.
I have watched Chronical 2067. I have a feeling that I had seen it before. But it could be the first time. An Australian film. Written and directed by Seth Larney. Good special effects. Great cast of actors especially Kodi. I had seen Deborah in a film years back. Impressive soundtrack. Far into the future in a post apocalyptic world. Resources are scarce. Oxygen is a currency. It is running out. You have Ethan, a young man working in the mines. His friend Jude is there too. The head of an organisation has enlisted him for a mission. One that could help the human race survive. A message from the future was sent to the lab. Ethan is sent there to find a cure. I was figuring a few things out. Some things you will question. Scifi drama. Kodi Smit-McPhee; Ryan Kwanten; Leeanna Walsman; Aaron Glenane; Deborah Mailman. You might also like The Tomorrow War, Prospect, The Time Machine.
I have watched Mother/Android. Starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Algee Smith, Raul Castillo. Looking at the trailer the people in the comments were slating the film even before they have seen it. But anyway ignore them. A scifi drama. You might have seen I Am Mother, Robocop, Terminator, iRobot, Humans, Better Than US, Westworld, The Matrix, Archive, The Machine, Ex Machina and Extinction. Androids had been built to serve humans in the future. There is a moment where the machines turn on their masters. A post apocalyptic world is created. Georgia is with her boyfriend. She is pregnant. There is a community in Boston that guarantee safety. They must make the journey there. I was expecting some twist. The soldiers well one especially was an arsehole. Nice scary moments with the Androids being on the hunt. Good cast of actors. Nice work on special effects. I like the soundtrack. I am also reminded of The Walking Dead, A Quiet Place, Zombieland, Love And Monsters, Bird Box, Stakeland. It was on Netflix. Mattson Tomlin and Matt Reeves were the creators.
I had watched this scifi drama on Netflix. It is possible that I may have seen it before on DVD.
The synopsis and cast details are below. I had watched Maika in It Follows. Julia is a career criminal. Steals what she can and trades it for money. The woman that she deals with played Grace in Doctor Who. Alex is a scientist and inventor. He kidnaps her amongst others. Uses them for experiments. He wants build a super computer A.I. He is under pressure from the board of directors. Tau is this artificial intelligence that runs the home. You have a huge security robot that is menacing. I expected certain characters to die first. As they made mistakes that led to them getting killed. As I enjoy Saw, Exam, Circle, Escape Room I would watch this. There could be an element of Stockholm Syndrome or it was expected. Julia will do what she can to outsmart Tau and Alex. A good soundtrack. Nice effects. Bizarre escape scene in the beginning. A good cast of actors. I hadn't realised that Gary voiced Tau. You would be reminded of Oblivion, Old Boy, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Divide, Room, 2001 A Space Odyssey, I Am Mother, Terminator, Robocop, Demon Seed, Saturn 3. The Wilhelm Scream is used and I don't know why. Worth taking a look.
A woman trapped inside a sadistic genius' smart house must somehow get past the advanced artificial intelligence guarding her.

Big Bug is a French scifi comedy. Set in the far future. Alice is someone that though living in the future often is reminiscent of the past. Has a vintage collection. All retro items. She has a few robots in her home. Her guests are Max and Leo. The neighbour Francoise comes to visit. The ex husband Victor turns up bringing the daughter Nina and new girlfriend Jennifer. Meanwhile there is an uprising. The robots are out to get the humans. Monique and her fellow machines decide to lock the house with the humans within it to protect them. But the humans have other ideas. I have seen a few films where you have a group of people couped up together. The actors have fun with it. Definitely dedicated to their craft. This could be a theatre play. Great visual effects, costumes, acting. Nice soundtrack. Pretty women. Nice bodies on Nina and Jennifer. Does have a good sense of humour. I saw it on Netflix. It must have been made recently. A fair bit of nudity. It does get philosophical. Stand out performances and I am naming by character are Monique, Einstein, Yonyx. Worth taking a look. You might also like Humans, Better Than Us, Chappie, I Am Mother, Mother/Android, Tau, Lucy, Ghost In A Shell, Terminator, Robocop, Replicas, The Matrix, The Machine, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Demon Seed, Archive, Ex Machina, Short Circuit, Saturn 3.
I watched the pilot episode of iZombie. From DC/ Vertigo. On Netflix. A horror drama. It did remind me of Pushing Daisies, Gilmore Girls and Nancy Drew. The leading actress reminded me of Amy Adams. Her sister is hot. A young doctor had gone to party and there was a zombie outbreak. Well a minor one. She was infected. Now one of the undead. She works in a morgue. Eating the victim's brains helps her have a psychic connection. I wasn't sure if I would watch the entire episode or even the series. It might appeal to a female audience. You may have seen Zombieland, Warm Bodies, Life After Beth. Interesting soundtrack. Comic book cut scenes. Her boss is British. There is black detective that need her help. Originally on the CW. There are references to the work Boyle and Romero. 5 seasons. You should see Ash Vs Walking Dead.
Starring: Rose McIver; Malcolm Goodwin; Rahul Kohli; Robert Buckley; David Anders; Aly Michalka; Robert Knepper; Bryce Hodgson.
I am watching a biological drama about the war correspondent Marie Colvin. A Private War stars Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, Stanley Gucci. Pike is doing a good job. Cert 15. She worked for the Sunday Times. Story begins in 2001. She goes on a trip to Sri Lanka. She goes to Baghdad. Multiple film locations. A strong independent woman uncovering the truth and trying to make a difference in the world. Special features are increase. You might also like NobleWildTracksSuffragette The subtitles are on. I don't think much to the nudity. Violence and gore is graphic. Best to give the film your full attention than blogging during it. Give praise to the cast and crew. Good including an interview with the lady herself. I usually look at imdb trivia and Wikipedia. See her articles and what others say about her. You might enjoy the soundtrack. The Cobbler. A fantasy comedy starring Adam Sandler. Funny and sweet. Set in New York. The Cobbler has a machine to repair shoes. Fourth generation business. He puts on a pair of shoes and becomes anyone he wants. Great acting from all the cast. The blonde in this is hot with a fantastic body Elena Kampouris as Alexia. Method Man, Steve Buscemi, Dan Stevens, Dustin Hoffman, Ellen Barkin, Melanie Diaz also star. Pixels, Big Daddy, Reign On Me, Punch Drunk Love are films that I recommend. Nice Jewish music. Special features are behind the scenes. The milf business woman has nice tits (Ellen B). It is quite dark in places. Cert 12, 5030305518936. Written and directed by Paul McCarthy.

The Stranger
Cert 18, Koch Media 2015. Produced by Eli Roth, directed by Guillermo Amoedo. Horror, quite strange reading the blurb. The theme playing during the DVD menu is good. Ok so this fella named Martin has come to a small town looking for Ana. He finds that she had passed on. Whilst sitting on a bench he is attacked by some thugs. A young man named Peter helps him out. Ana suffered from a disease that makes her addicted to human blood. Perhaps a cannibal or vampire. You might like The New Daughter, Maggie, Let Me In, Extinction, Stakeland, World War Z, The Lazurus Effect, I Am Legend, Contaigon, Carriers. Interesting and different. See Imdb for full cast list. Rented from the library. 4020628870386.
Une Heure De Tranquillite aka Do Not Disturb
cert 15. StudioCanal 2014 5055201832481. Subtitled. French film, comedy about a Jazz music fan named Michel. He finds a rare record and hopes to have some time alone to listen to it. But friends, family and neighbours all want some of his time. I recommend Spanish film I'm So Excited and another French film Taxi, American indie The Visitor, Two Days In New York and TV series The Returned, Brit flick with David Tennant What We Did On Our Holiday. Set in Paris. Recent events meaning France will get lots of mention. Great cast of actors.
Maggie
A horror starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin. A father is in turmoil as his daughter had been bitten by a zombie and is infected. She will change and Wade wants to spend as much time with her as he can. You might like The Walking Dead, The Stranger, The New Daughter, Z Nation, Extinction, World War Z. Cert 15, 5053083037697 Universal Pictures 2014. It is more a drama. Slow moving. Something different for Arnie to be involved in. Normalises the horror genre. See how the people deal with living in a post apocalyptic world. The change from human to monster. How the infection is just like any other disease eg ebola, cancer etc. The music may be worth downloading.
The great filmaker. Stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as Alf, Dame Helen Mirren as his wife Alma. Toni Collete, Scarlett Johannson and Jessica Biel also ster. I did a little art piece symbolising 20th Century Heroes. I chose film. One image was of a shadow of Hitchcock holding a knife. There is a tv series called Bates Motel out now. It's set around the time where Alf wants to make a film based on a horror novel Psycho. The film itself was remade a few years ago. Toni plays Peggy a P.A. Scarlett is actress Janet Leigh. Janet was the mother of Jamie Lee Curtis that starred in the Halloween movies. The trailer looked good. Alf is determined, morbid with a sense of humour. See Sam Raimi's films. myworld.ebay.co.uk/mrkish09 I liked The Aviator a film about Howard Hughes. It'd be interesting to read his biography. A great cast. Paramount were reluctant to go ahead with this film. Alf was risking his reputation. Mr Stefano played by Karate Kid actor Ralph Macchio. See Chaplin starring Robert Downey Jr. Cert 12.
Stars Colin Firth as old Eric, Jeremy Irvine as young Eric. During the war Eric is captured by the Japanese. Tortured and forced to build the Thai-Burma railway. Opening scene had Lomax lying on the floor reciting something. Later in a cafe in 1980. What was fascinating about the trailer was how Eric wants revenge and wants to confront his captors. One of them being Takashi Nagase played by Hiroyuki Sanada. Nicole Kidman plays Mrs Lomax. A great cast. Directed by Jonathon Teplitzky. Lionsgate 2013. Also includes cast and crew interviews. Other autobiographical films I recommend are 12 Years A Slave, The Butler. There are flashback sequences to the war. He operated the radios in Singapore 1942. Eric was traumatised by his experiences. Always was a train enthusiast. Finlay played by Stellan Skarsgard, tells of the experiences in the war. Worth checking out. Brutal scenes. Classical soundtrack. Great dialogue. Heartfelt and thought provoking film. See Amazon reviews. Out to buy. Please share. 'Lest We Forget'
