Seven Psychopaths cert 15 BFI and Film4

Stars Colin Farrel, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken. Opening scene two hitmen are having a morbid conversation. Lots of special features including a gag reel. Marty is a struggling writer intent on finishing his screenplay 'Seven Psychopaths' all he needs is some inspiration. Charlie is a gangster that has had his dog stolen by Marty's friends. He is going to try and get his pet back. There is a man with a rabbit which I saw from the trailer. Marty's girlfriend is pretty. If you like films with an oddball bunch of characters. Then check out Burn After Reading, I Heart Huckabees. The actress that was in Precious and Tower Heist stars in this. She played Shirese. Nice little chapters introducing each psychopath. Great body on this woman in one scene. The actress is Christine Marzano. A great cast. Contains violence, nudity and swearing. One story tells of an interracial couple that go around killing hitmen. Olga Kurylenko looks hot in a bikini. Nice soundtrack. Out to buy/rent now.

Reminds me of Highlander. Gothic scenery. Lots of action. Violence throughout. Good soundtrack. Has sci-fi horror elements. See Mary Shelley's novel. Take a look.

12 YEARS A SLAVE. cert 15 drama 2014

http://www.africanholocaust.net

I've just seen some great trailers for films I'll indeed be catching up on: Dallas Buyers Club, Tracks, Calvery. A film by Steve McQueen. Based on a true story. You might like Bamboozled, Amistad, The Butler. Won some awards. 1841 Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejifor) a free black man, that'd been kidnapped and sold to slavery. The plantation owner (Michael Fassbender) has purchased Soloman. There is a chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt). A steller cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano, Paul Giamatti, Lupita Nyong'o. Music by Hans Zimmer. I'm liking the theme song. Special Feature a are a doc looking at the creative team behind the film and also watch Han Zimmer as he composes the soundtrack. There was a mild sex scene. Shot from a sideways position. The book is for sale. Solomon a violinist is offered a job in Washington. There are flashback scenes. Transported to Georgia. Strong language and violence. Solomon's message is delivered to future generations. I wonder what he'd make of President Obama.

Twelve Years A Slave by Solomon Northup. I'd seen the film and so decided on the book. This is a true story. Solomon's memoirs will leave a message to future generations. Obviously it goes into more detail than the film. I recommend you check out both. A young violinist is under false pretences taken to Washington DC to perform at a circus. But he had been kidnapped and sold into slavery down south. I'm selling this on Amazon/Ebay in a few months. Kept in mint condition. First published in 1853. EAN 9780007580422 paperback published by Harper Collins. Was £2.50 in Waterstones. Pollypunk:No Prejudice.

THE RAILWAY MAN drama cert 15 Based on an autobiography by Eric Lomax.

Stars Colin Firth as old Eric, Jeremy Irvine as young Eric. During the war Eric is captured by the Japanese. Tortured and forced to build the Thai-Burma railway. Opening scene had Lomax lying on the floor reciting something. Later in a cafe in 1980. What was fascinating about the trailer was how Eric wants revenge and wants to confront his captors. One of them being Takashi Nagase played by Hiroyuki Sanada. Nicole Kidman plays Mrs Lomax. A great cast. Directed by Jonathon Teplitzky. Lionsgate 2013. Also includes cast and crew interviews. Other autobiographical films I recommend are 12 Years A Slave, The Butler. There are flashback sequences to the war. He operated the radios in Singapore 1942. Eric was traumatised by his experiences. Always was a train enthusiast. Finlay played by Stellan Skarsgard, tells of the experiences in the war. Worth checking out. Brutal scenes. Classical soundtrack. Great dialogue. Heartfelt and thought provoking film. See Amazon reviews. Out to buy. Please share. 'Lest We Forget'

A great cast and good special effects. Story starts of in Brittania and finishing up in Pompeii. There is a ticking timebomb in the form of Mount Vesuvius. A good apocalytpic/disaster theme. THE TWO FACES OF JANUARY Studiocanal/Working title 2014. cert 12. 5055201825551. Thriller set in Athens, Greece 1962. Based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith, who also wrote The Talented Mr. Ripley. The trailer for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is impressive. Viggo Mortensen plays a wealthy businessman named Chester that is holidaying with his young wife Colette (Kirsten Dunst). Their tour guide Rydal (Oscar Isaac) is not all he seems. They have been in many good films, which I'll link to. Rydal had recieved a letter from his mother asking him to attend his father's funeral. He is abit of a hustler. Some plot twists, elements of revenge, paranoia and a love triangle. Contains moderate violence and swearing. Some dialogue in greek, subtitled in english. One clever scene in the market stall that i'm trying to work out. Chester fought in WW2. A strange man has turned up at the hotel. He represents a client that invested money with Chester. They're on the run. Good look at the scenery and greek culture. Good acting. See the trailer.
Colette takes of her bra. You see a side-boob. No bonus features, would've been nice to see some extras. The characters are questioning who to trust. Weird little girl asking to wear Colette's sunglasses. I reckon there are positive reviews on Amazon. Lots of suspense. With the drama, you could call it a 'greek tragedy'. Some scenes shot in Istanbul, Turkey. The soundtrack is a mix of classical and folk music. I think you should see this. Out to rent/buy now. Please visit http://onlineauction.com http://amazon.co.uk for the items that I have on sale. Seller: SolitaryManInBlack.
